I was thinking at the beginning of this video, “she does these projects every week...she has got to be exhausted with how much energy goes into the concept planning, execution, editing...” you work your dang tail off, Rachel! Each and every video proves just how much of yourself you invest into these projects. I’m so dang proud! I loved how you got everything off the floor in that closet. Being able to sweep up dust bunnies easily is so awesome!

I don't know why it took me this many years and (this particular) RUclips video to understand the making a cardboard cut out would be helpful. Thankyou from the bottom of my heart for being explicit and sharing that thought and idea. Simple and amazing!
3:56 seconds you have another great tip (from another content creator) for making stamps in lieu of wallpaper! I love that idea for multiple applications. I make miniature houses for dioramas and wargaming and use this all the time for various textures like floors plankes and brick patterns as well as cobble stone. One helpful tip to get super crisp lines is to draw first with a ball point pen (or pencil slightly dulled) make a couple of passes without pushing too hard. Then take a very sharp knife, like an exacto or Olfa knife (better yet a heated cutting knife or foam cutter like the Proxon- it acts like a table saw for foam.) Again this is an amazing video so many tidbits and amazing tips! Glad I found you! (Subscribed!)
Rachel, can you please do a video of you redoing and organizing your pantry? My family is having so much trouble with that right now so it would be great to see from you. I absolutely love your other makeover videos and would be so thankful if you could do a pantry video.
Thank you for saying this is a Friday,Saturday, Sunday project and to give yourself time to rest lol. My mom and I live in an old home and we’re going on living here for three years. Every weekend is a continuation from one project to the next. It definitely takes time but so rewarding! Great job!!
Absolutely the content I was looking for I’m the type that really likes aesthetics + I legit have OCD (and grew up with a hoarder) so organization is extremely important for me
Great makeover, Rachel! Just did this to the hall closet. It's morphed from a never used coat closet, to a pantry, to now a cleaning closet. Vacuum & steam mop live here, too. Also added wall-mounted plant hangers with 1" wood dowels. I buy big boxes of kitchen & outdoor trash bags, & I can thread the dowels through the rolls of bags. Keeps the boxes off the floor.
I love how real and honest you are in this video. Thank you. As a fellow creator here on RUclips, I can relate to this so much. Thank you, know that you're definitely not alone in those feelings. I love the wallpaper stamp idea. Thanks for sharing!
Living to DIY with Rachel Metz I need to patch up a hole in a wall and I remember you showed how to do that in a video, do you remember which one so I can go re watch it?

Nice organization closet, Rachel! A couple of yrs ago, I took the easy way out. I bought a clear over the door hanging pantry organizer, to hold my cleaning products. Easy to see what you have and what needs to be replaced.
I just love your unique style.. I would love to see some easy diys which renters can do as well like does not need nailing and all. Hats off to your efforts! 🙌👏🏻

The stamp thing is the best most surprising thing I've seen you do, so far. Easier and cheap than paper. Not remembering you can counter sink that screw at the back of the shelf support and then using a counter sunk on something else right after, is the worst, so far. You're doing good I saw a HD ad with your kitchen reno pop up on my newsfeeds recently. Keep goin

Love those stamps!! It's minimal, I love it! I've been thinking to create a tiny coffee station in my kitchen and wondering how you would make it. Do you have one yours?
Miho, that sounds fun! What kind of coffee station would you like? Are you thinking about utilizing the wall space in the area you’d like to have your coffee station? Or do you want it to be a shelf-type thing?
Heismyrock3 Hi! I'll do just a coffee set-up on my kitchen because I live in a studio apt that I don't have enough space. I could make a small shelf though..I'm not really sure.

Great job on the cleaning closet. The DIY shelves are a great addition without looking out of place. Have you ever done DIY drawer handles/knobs? I’m updating an old drawer set and was trying to come up with some ideas on how to update them myself without needing to go out and buy a ton of knobs.

Thank you so much Paula!
It's funny how you mention this is what you did for your family and it works for you. I loved it. Goals! I am such a disorganized person and find these type of videos and pinterest posts inspiring. I started to organize my pantries (these twin closets I have) and was showing pictures on pinterest to my coworkers of all the lovely organized pantries (your video on that was awesome btw!). Of course they came back with "no ones pantry actually looks like that." Nonsense! It certainly could and I find it quite functional. Thank you for the inspiration, I can't wait till we get our house sold and buy the next one. I will be going organization crazy!! :D
Thank you so much for the love and support! Happy you found joy in this tutorial xx.
Your videos always give me motivation to do my projects and try things new :) can you do a video of the smaller version of your shelves that you hanged in the laundry room but put hidden Drawers in them i want to make some for my bedroom but i have no idea where to begin and how to do the drawers
Evan and Katelyn have an incredible tutorial on that already that I would not be able to top! They are the best xx .
@@LivingtoDIYwithRachelMetz i will have to look at those... i was also thinking since you like doing things with quick something the cement stuff have you ever thought of doing something with your hands in those cement mode kits... always wanted to try but always nervous
Looks great.

You can use tinfoil to cover the paint pan and brush. A lot easier and better than a bag.
