It's a good gun. Beretta does not make any garbage, they make quality products since 1522. I love them.
Come on Hickok, just admit it. You're really enjoying shooting that Beretta more than the Glock.
The Man did a Part 2 with the damn gun for crying out loud!
Damn right he be lovin' that gun! That gun's slick, a little TOO slick as its grip texture is pretty much none existent. But I love it!
@@HelixHelhound I put on a Hogue slip on grip that took care of that.
Really nice.
@@Paul-ue7fo bike tire inner tubes work great too
@@Paul-ue7fo Yep, I put on Talon Grip.
Yes, I too noticed that he did a two-parter! (wink)
I own this gun with a stainless chrome barrel. It shoots like butter! The rotating barrel keeps the nose down and you are back on target quicker! (As you saw in the beginning of part one, then several more times throughout.) You can shoot this handgun really quickly while remaining on target. I love it. Easy to keep clean too!
He's loading 17 x many times with a smile, you know he loves it more than any other gun, period. Beretta rules 👍
The rotating barrel is a real help, absorbs some of the recoil. Have had my PX4 full size 9mm since 5/2009, have had zero failures! Clean after each range session...
@@gsfbffxpdhhdf7043 I definitely don't have that experience with mine? It feels mildly softer recoil wise, but i can hardly tell a big difference between it and any other 9mm.
@@codyallen2838 yeah to me I feel like there is around the same recoil on the PX4 Storm compared to a Glock 19, but just a different recoil impulse. It has less muzzle rise but it pushes your hands back instead. You notice the difference more if you're shooting 40. In 9mm it isn't as noticeable.
I bought a PX4 Storm Full-size (like in this video) but in the .40 S&W. I loved it so much, that 6 months later (this past weekend) I bought the compact version of it as my primary concealed carry. Little recoil, awesome accuracy and the sexist gun I have ever seen! By far, the best overall pistol I have ever owned.
hey did yours shoot a little low with 180 grain rounds? I only have about 80 rounds through it but it seem to shoot a little low. Got some 165 grain for my next outing but would welcome your feedback. thanks
Beretta's rotating lock mechanism also allows for a fully closed/reinforced chamber unlike the glocks where it is partially closed which is what leaves the "glock smiles" on the casings. This is really only a point for us who reload. Also, it does not have the polygonal rifling like Glock so therefore you can launch cast bullets if you are into loading those for cheap target practice. I do not have one of these yet but I do have the Cougar and it is a rocking 40. PX4 storm 40 is next on the list
What I love about him is while he stands there and tells you he doesn't like double/single action, he hits the damn target nearly every time, seemingly with no effort HAHA! Love this channel. First thing I thought when I considered buying this pistol was to check what Hickok45 thought about it.
He hits the target with whatever he has in his hand...
Just purchased the compact PX4 Storm .40 to be my primary CCW. I carried a Beretta 92FS for years and had never even fired a .40
I used the range Beretta to see how I could handle shooting the .40. At 25 yards the first 13 rounds I fired center mass of the human silhouette aiming for the heart. Placed all 13 in about a three inch pattern. The next 13 I made head shots and they landed dead center in about a 3-4 inch grouping.
I went out front and purchased my new Storm Compact.
I did my research for a good month and your video put this weapon in the top 3 contenders for me. Shooting it myself sealed the deal.
Tomorrow I an looking to purchase either a .40 H&K. Sig or S&W mostly based on your reviews.
Thanks for doing ALL of these great videos Hickok
i have the subcompact in 40 sw. awesome as are all Beretta's. After 500 years!
After watching your videos, I am seriously considering the Px4 for my first gun. Thanks for making such great videos!
I love it
I ordered and had Beretta adjustable sights installed by a gunsmith. Now I have a 6:00 hold that I prefer. I put grips on too. I love the look, feel, function, reliability, and accuracy of this PX49mm. It has taken over as my favorite.
BRAVO MAN, from Italy.....
You have helped more folks than you know. You are a great teacher. Thanks.
I have this gun in the 40 cal S&W and works for me. Thanks for the video, Mike
Thx Hickok45... Love my PX4 9mm... Bought mine in Yuma.. Much respect from the Navajo Nation...Northern Az.... Thank u
@bak1911 , Uplula. I love it, and I've never cared for magazine loaders -didn't know any of them worked any better than my highly experienced thumb, but this one does.
Strongly considering a Px4 Storm for lawful concealed carry. My only semi-auto is a 92FS, through which I've fired over 10k rounds. The two trigger systems are the same, which could be a life-saver for me in a dreaded self-defense scenario. Enjoyed the review!
Hickok with a Beretta...........Now LIFE IS GOOD!
Later 40s in my life and I’m getting my first hand gun. After all my research, this is the one I think I’m getting, but a 40 cal. Looks like a very functional side arm - I like it. And by the way, this guy is damn accurate from quite the distance with this!
love to hear those shell casings under your feet as you stroll down the hill.
bought my 45 and 9mm px4storms because of your videos.
Berettas just work.
You have the best video gun reviews on the web by a long way. Your presentation is unpretentious, succinct and even humorous at times. They are very informative and a perfect balance between looking at the guns features, commenting on the specification and demonstrating shooting off a few rounds. You are able to back this all up with practical experience. You are also a dam good shot to boot.
If I need to know about a gun then I always look here first.
Keep up the excellent job.
Love your videos. I appreciate the fact that you are informative, without using the profanity you find in other videos. Planning on getting a PX4 thanks.
This was my 1st firearm purchase. So glad I picked this.
@easydoz1, Nope; I've never had trouble with Blazer. I'll keep an eye on it, though, if you've had such a horrible experience with it. I don't necessarily look for it, but I sometimes choose it if it's priced right or available, regardless of caliber. I especially like their 10mm ammo.
@1776PatriotTeen, Read the description. :-)
Hickok45, can't believe no one commented on you hitting the red soda bottle and the pig on the left with one shot!! Love your videos! Beretta pX4 Storm pt.3? Please! Got to have a trilogy!!
I don't get the issue with the da/sa. The first round is harder to shoot by accident if you don't mean it. And, after the first you're committed.
In the Army that's good we practiced with the M9, and I didn't notice any problem. I think the issue is psychological.
I've grown to like it as well. It's like a built in safety for the first shot kind of a "are you sure?" function. After that its game on. The DA pull on my 92 was hard as hell, but there are ways to reduce it. The D mainspring helps.
Some people just prefer a consistent pull with all shots. As long as you're doing the training, Neither should be a problem. I like the da/sa myself but I respect that it just comes down to personal preference. Train train train is the bottom line with either.
did anybody notice the round went through the 2-liter and knocked over one of the animals down range that was awesome
OMG I just noticed lol
MaKsiK yeah it was pretty cool
Whats great about shooting 2 liters is you get a different result everytime! That pink one looked like it wanted to fly up to the moon at 9:50!! Great video once again!
Impressed with your marksmanship, front sight focus!
The whole point of having an exposed hammer is that one can cock it for the first shot so that every trigger pull is the same, or in an emergency one can pull it out quickly and without cocking it send rounds down range. All while having the safety of a double action trigger. It’s a win, win win.
I bought this gun in .40 cal, I love the way it feels in the hand and shoots. I have never had a malfunction with it and I've shot numerous brands, fmj, hp, 165 grain & 185 grain, brass case, nickle, and aluminum. It breaks down easy enough and goes bck tpgether easy once you learn how to deal with the barrel. That took me a few tries, but i figured it out and now no problems what so ever. I've shot 9mm with more recoil than this. I had the Kahr CW40 which was horrible to shoot (the recoil was terrible and painful after 3 mags) and had lots of issues. I also had the Glock 22 in .40 cal which was very a nice pistol, I kind of miss it at times. I could shoot very well with that gun, nice tight groups. The Glock's recoil wasn't bad but the Storm's is considerably less. I thought about getting the Storm in 9mm if I can get it in trade or go to Glock 19. I'm very torn on that one though. I don't mind the DA/SA at all, I'm used to it. Nice video. Shoot safe and God Bless.
Im thinking of picking this up in the 40 S&W as my first handgun purchase.
Just purchased this fire arm. Thanks for the reviews of all the guns you do. Helped me decide.
I bought this as my first handgun and I love it. It has good safety features (decocker/safety) and shoots good.
Just bought one for 300 in 40 s&w. Very pleased with my purchase
Great video! I liked the close-ups of the pistol while H45 was reloading, and I always enjoy the slow-motion scenes at the end. I have the 92, and love it. I'll consider this one for my collection. You're right. The 92 is not a CCW. But, it is a fine shooter for plates and so forth. Thanks for your really informative and entertaining work.
Its kinda funny how you shoot. A lot. A lot more than average owners/enthusiasts. But every time you hit a two liter bottle you thoroughly enjoy it. Good knowing it never gets boring. Thank you sir.
I've been watching these videos for awhile now and I'm still impressed that he's able to hit that far gong with a pistol.
Thanks hickok i was waiting for chapter 2 since you made the chapter 1 i love you and of course this gun!Keep up man!
by far my favorite video of hickock just "storming" the range lol
' dem crickets are loud!!!
Hey hickok, today is my birthday and nothing better than waking up to a new video to watch! Thanks, keep it up!
Trijicon makes sights for the PX4. Much better than factory.
Are'nt they a gorgeous pistol ? Beretta quality ! Hickok, your videos are first class ! Like gun collecting, I find the videos addictive !
The PX4 was recommended to me and I bought one, I like it very much and it is a fine shooting gun.
Great review I own the compact version and the Inox full size both in 9mm they are great shooting handguns. Thanks for making all the great reviews.
hickok45, I just wanted to leave a comment here to let you know that due to this video (and part 1 as well), it made me decide, for my first handgun, to go out and purchase the PX4 Storm in .40 due to the review/show that you gave here. Also, a thanks for the gun safe and speed loader demos as well, that has very much influenced my purchases for a first-timer. Safe to say that it's because of you that I've really gotten into shooting now. I thank you.
Love the slow mo at the end of the video very sweet!!!
@bccasu1, Well, I'm not an expert on ammo companies, but they've been good to us, and as I mentioned earlier, I did some test ordered from them before I accepted free ammo from them or mentioned them. I'm sure somebody has a better price on some certain caliber or brand, but they seem to do as well as anybody else.
Shot one of these at the range a couple weeks ago, amazing gun! I want one now!
Berettas are great guns!
Thanks for the good review. I got one, LE Trade-in and I agree that it's fun to shoot and accurate.
Hello Mr. Hickok45. I am new to gun and have learned quite a bit from your video. Thank you very much.
Great videos as always hickok!
love the music scales you play on the close up hanging targets :)
Love all Beretta products thus far!
Great video Hickok. As always.
I have the LANGDON TACTICAL CARRY PX4 Storm, it’s my favorite ALL TIME GUN…YES, I have two GLOCKS and they are fine guns, as well as numerous other PREMIUM makes. Personally, I don’t think there is a finer gun on the market, possibly matching CZ P-10C! Let’s face it, BERETTA knows what they’re doing!
Picked up a 92FS AND A PX4 STORM,IN 45ACP LOVE THEM BOTH
i really enjoyed this video and the talk of da/sa thankyou so much
That loader is the UpLula. You can find it at most gun stores and on eBay as well. Runs about $25. You will LOVE it!!! Great for rapid loading double stack mags.
My husband just got one in 9mm it was his first handgun purchase he loves it he got the sub compact version he says it feels good shoots straight
Liked your review, I'm getting my PX4 storm this Friday only because of California 10 day waiting law.
Man you know how to have fun. I really enjoyed both videos ( part 1 & 2) . I just purchased a sub compact and I wonder if is that much fun, I also have the full but in DAO so not the best option for a range shoot out. Since I am new to guns and still dont have my license I will pick them up this friday ( 5 days waiting time)
I got sold the DAO because I said it was going to be primarily for home defense, and the sub compact DA/SA as a concealed but now watching you makes me want to have
I cant help it. I like the looks of this pistol and it feels good in the hand. Seems to be a modern design, and the rotating barrel is cool. Cool like Good ole Hickok. I might have to get one in inox to add to my collection of zombie slayers. Life is good !!!
I just acquired this gun, recently. Very fun to shoot. Better than the 92FS for me. Nice video. Thanks.
Just FYI for those who are wondering about ammoforsale, they are great. I've ordered thousands of rounds since they offered the Hickok discount. With the discount, I can usually get 1000 rounds of 9mm for just at $200 shipped. The ammo comes fast and I've never had any issue. I think we should support ammoforsale as they support Hickok...and their prices are definitely reasonable =)
@Hickok-thanks for helping all of us get that discount!
Another great vid, thanks!!
@ChuckinCHI, It doesn't get much easier; there are lots of good guns out there.
Take my word for it if get into a stressful situation I don’t care if that first pull is 25 lbs. you will pull that trigger
Your a damn good shooter
Another great video thanks!
Great video Hickok45, Thanks. I've considered the PX4 in .40 Nice pistols.
Linda... Beretta é demais!
quietly the best 45 on the market
For some reason Canadians really love this pistol. My Aunt bought this pistol for self defense. I found the gun fun to shoot even though I prefer rifles. And its starting to enter service in the Canadian law enforcement if I'm correct.
I was really looking into the px4 storm 2 yrs ago for my first pistol for concealed carry. Couldn't find one to test, and I'm glad I went with an m&p 9c with a thumb safety. I don't think I could use a fun with a manual safety that is on the slide. I'd have to change my grip. That and if I want a da/sa, I want to be able to carry Cocked and locked. 2 deal breakers for me.
The rotating barrel most definitely takes away some of the recoil. I have shot numerous other 40's and they have more recoil than my px4 storm 40. Also, the gun it self is a bit heavier, so that adds to the low recoil. My best friend's gun of choice is the S&W MP9. I love it too, but because of its low weight, I feel as though it too may have more recoil than my 40 even though its a 9. Additionally, I became extremely accurate with it very quickly. I am so thankful I went for the px4 storm 40.
Great video Hickok.
Great vid, i luv my Px4 and the double/single action doesn't bother me at all. I guess i learned shooting before striker fire was popular and I'm used to it. I think it's more of a training issue.
Mighty fine shooting! Subscribed!
just bought a used PX4 9mm on friday, it was a police duty weapon that was retired. for an ex police weapon its fairly well maintained and very little wear on the internal parts, so far over the weekend ive put 150 rounds through it and it fired beautifully. id recommend it to anyone.
Very impressive with Hickok45 shooting. He is Da Shooter! He can be my teacher any time!
Thanks for the info, I just ordered one!
They are a nice weapon to have. I have the INOX Beretta Stainless Steel Version PX4 Storm 17+1 for $649.00 (2013)The shots you hear are exactly what it sounds like LOUD. The cleaning and taking apart is easy.
I just found that same version at a gun shop in my state, but further up north from where I live. I love it so far, it's beautiful and the main character in one of my favorite video games (WatchDogs) uses this same model (but I believe it was in 40 S&W). The INOX versions we have are really rare nowadays
@@madgun2134 Thats Awesome! I still have mine since 2013.
@Scorpio_1974 Nice brother!! Continue to keep it, they've (the INOX versions) have definitely become somewhat of a unicorn in the handgun category. Besides, they're great freaking weapons. Funny thing about when I got mine (2 weeks ago): Apparently a friend of one of the employees at the gun shop who is a Beretta collector had said he wanted to buy it, and would come by on a later date to do so, was notified that I picked it up before he could WHILE the transaction was going down. I felt so bad for that gentlemen, because I heard the entire phone conversation.🤣🤣🤣The guy definitely knew the value of the rare models that me and you have. Since yours is the same capacity as mine, I'm assuming you also have the 9mm version, yes? I got lucky and got mine for $525, but the thing about it was that it was preowned and didn't come with the box, backstraps, or 2nd magazine😩😩😩
@@madgun2134 Yes, I only have the 9mm STEEL version PX4 Storm JXF9F51. 2yrs ago I finally got my AR-15 Smith & Wesson. 5.56. Here in Alabama I open carry all the time & always asked what am I carrying? I tell them I am carrying a Beretta PX4 Storm 9mm Steel version 17+1. The response I get is wow! nice! 🤣🤣
For anybody that wants this gun but can't afford it you can get the stoeger cougar also with rotating barrel for half the price and its still made on the berretta equipment that made this guns predecessor the Beretta cougar
Thanks, much appreciated
Shoot one of these and I love it. Nice trigger, easy controls, adjustable back straps, low recoil, and hell of a lot lighter than the 92.
Thanks for your explanation Jackal. I finally got it.
PX4 and the CX4 would make a great combo
you seem to be nailing the targets in this video!!! i just bought this for my wife and who better to get the pros and cons from than hickok45?? lol i watched 1st vid diff. ammo didnt seem as accurate then, but youve got it dialed in now!!! thanks for the video!! keep up the GREAT work!!
Nice review sir. I have the PX4 compact and I like it. One suggestion is to add Talon grips to get a better purchase on the gun.
Also shooting uphill isnt helping, thats why i use the compact .40 version, its an accurate close range cannon that fits in your pocket. Pistols aren't for long range engagements, they're for self defense. And that gun at less than 30 yards is one of the best in the business.
Awesome shooting Hickok45 ...
he says he doesn't shoot da/sa weapons as good as he does striker fired... I wish I could shoot this bad... lol
@ graylon person
Ya, he's a pretty good shot. I love the gong. How far is that away? and he's going to hit you. A couple of the shots might be in the legs or to the side a bit, but you're going to get hit if he's shooting at you.
80 yrds
I want NO part of holstering a striker-fired pistol. My current EDC is Beretta's Px4 Storm sub-compact in .40 S&W. It's been 100% reliable for over 2 years.
I use this same gun. Glad to see Hickok having similar issue as I did when I first got it. The way the sights are set you have to hold high and cover the target completely to nail it. Being used to 6 o'clock I hated that. Just constantly shot low. Beretta now sells an adjustable sight for sixty bucks. I put that on and problem solved. Also on SA the trigger reset is very long. Still haven't found anyone who could help me with that. Guns built like a tank...and fires anything with a primer on it.
Great video I like the px4 a lot.
that was one of the best 2-litre bottle shots ever!
thats awesome ,nice job
