  • The EK9 is almost ready to go to the shop to get a new coat of paint throughout the engine bay but there are a few things that need to be removed before it can leave.
I'll change all of the brake system components like lines, master cylinder, and booster. I have also decided I am not going to use a K-swap shifter on this car but instead one of our TSX / RSX counterparts. I enjoy the look and feel of them a bit more than hiding it all under the floor.

Man it’s going to be a cool build. That front bumper nice choice. Good video man. Always fun working on a car you like.

The foam is to keep rain water from leaking in, so keep it covered

Yea, it needs to be covered but I’m not sure foam was the best choice haha.

Uh, foam is porous. Which would let water in. A simple piece of metal, cut to match the opening and sealed with some urethane, would have been a better choice.

We are pretty much doing the same type of restore/build. Check my channel. As for wiring make it your own. Meaning wire up your engine only as if it was a race car with no lights or anything. Once that is complete and tuned go forward with wiring up all you lights. This keeps the engine and chassis wiring completely separate. Trust me it's the way to go.

I de-pinned all my connectors in bay so no cut wires but i need to extend sum for the tuck. Which is the best way? Sorry, not a pro here, i am a fast learner though.

Typically, I suggest installing your own connector that is sealed or at least inside of the cabin. It will allow me to build from the pillar forward and put things where I’d like things to go.

What’s happening to this car? No updates for a few months now. If your bored of the car, please send to England addressed to me. 👍

Right! Haha! It has been a super busy few months at the shop so the EK9 project has just slowed down some. Currently still getting some work done at the paint ship but should be back soon. ^_^
