Yeah, sadly if people don't know about K series timing chain issues like the tensioner, they can get into some issues when installing larger aftermarket cams. I know some people have issues with K series transmissions but there are different factors to take into consideration when people say the K series transmission is weak. Engine mounts, axles, tires, wheel size, differentials, bushings, clutch and suspension are some factors to take into consideration. One other large factor is how the person drives. A nice hydraulic release bearing from Clutch Masters or Tilton will help reduce shock on the drivetrain.
@Bryce Czirr the transmission are not my friend went thru 3 in 100 k with daily driven car was driven hard at times now engines are another world the engine had 325000kms before she let go and ran mint till its last day and by the way axles are another killer wirh ks now my b16a2 gets beat on past 150000kms besides clutch been bulletproof

Its insane that 4 years ago this thing was easily the most riced out civic. Flash forward to today ben and mia are absolutely shredding it on track in ca!
I like how thorough you explain stuff that you do
Lol low key 15 min for sale ad. "Everything has a price" = shoot me a good offer.
30-40 people didn't give him a good offer. You could see the internally screaming in his eyes.
Wow! super awesome build, one of my dream car🔥🔥🔥
OK this made it even more complicating. There's no way you bought that for $2800
Japple stop 😂
I bought an h23 swapped EG hatch with 200whp for $1500. Deals are always out there you just have to be willing to filter through hundreds to find the perfect one
Javi yeah
@@erendyalatorre7785 For real. Found an 05 Cat eye extended cab chevy 4x4 for $3800 a couple weeks back. The truck wasn't bad, just rocker rust and front bumper needed replaced and master cylinder. After fixing just those things the truck is now worth like $9-10k now where I live.
@@erendyalatorre7785 So deals are def out there, like you said. Just gotta look past all the garbage.
First video that ever introduced me to your channel. Since then, I've watched all the vids non stop. Crazy how its been two years already!
Having just bought a stock integra this is my new favorite video
Does it have an LSD? Based on where you stand with modifications now, I would think that would be the most significant in terms of handling. Great story! Thank you for sharing.
If it's a true b16b swap with an s4c trans it should but I would doubt it. Since the thing was so riced out from the beginning, if it doesn't he should totally buy one and upgrade to a 4.9 final as well!
@@brendansmith270 He has the EK9 Type R trans, so yeah, he also has the LSD.
I'm shocked by how much likes this comment has...just goes to show how much ppl don't know about cars
The Opinionator haha you can bolt an open diff ek trans to a b16b you fucking idiot, and he didn’t mention in the video if it is or not. Otherwise you literally can’t tell
@@cheetahgaming3642 he didn't mention it because a b16b does come with an lsd transmission...and you clearly don't know wtf you're saying because there's nothing like an 'ek trans' LOL..where do you youtube mechanics some from? geeze
At the end of the video.... "...thank you for watching my For Sale Ad. I will now wait while my email floods with offers"
15:21 I see a ticking time bomb of devastation to paintwork with that flapping air deflector.
Cheapest fix you will ever do!
Other than that it looks smart
Beautiful, keep showing the love!
The only project car I would get will be from Ben. He did everything perfectly, turned it into a good daily driver. Great job
When i see this i think of the red eg 36 but white from initial d
He said “mujen”😂😂 whaaaaa..
What's the proper pronunciation?

It's Moo-Gin.
I wouldn't K swap it the car is so period correct with the B16 it wouldn't seem right.
97jag440 The problem is that it is just really slow and gutless, most guys in Japan B18C swap them or build them up to 1.8L.
You are truly amazing when it comes to fabricating and building cars. I am trying to get a civic s i e m one back on the road. The body and everything is perfect. It just needs a new engine. This is totally inspiring me to keep the project going. Great job again.
I found a real EP3 (2004 i think)
Type R in mint condition for 6000€.
And they guy knew what the was selling.
Makes me wish I had 6k of disposable income rn...
I love civic and this is actually I'm looking for this video
Yo please do the next of road trips episode with a Wrx sti and a 350 z
Beautiful. Enjoy the B16 engine. :) lots of fun less issues than the k20 imo :)
Agree :)
@Bryce Czirr oh really bro different take for sure any mods and you drive it hard ?
@Bryce Czirr proper answer my friend lol stupid question lol
Some people really don’t know nothing about Honda’s, some think they’re slow thank you for talking about Honda’s
thanks for making this -- I really enjoy seeing the build laid out. What a car for $5k!
That's insane - you can pick genuine Type Rs for £2k (abouth $2.5k) in the UK.
kr hk innit 😂😂😂
Nice to see car content not reviewing cars working people can never afford.😁😁😁.
Well, what i remember for the most is that you bumped into lost-control crown vic
If you want to do more, Civic Type R got rear disc brakes, 40/40 prop valve, 1inch brake master cylinder, 22mm rear sway bar, as for the 26mm front sway bar with front lower control arms can be found off a Civic Si.
Really, really loved the Type R & Miata road-trip. Most Civic fans here in the U.K are pure ricers, and have theirs exactly like when you first bought this one. After recently purchasing an FN2 Type R Championship White edition, though generations apart, the Type R is such a rewarding car to drive, and the work you have done on yours is really fantastic. Can't believe I hadn't found this channel earlier?! Keep up the good work, and can't wait for the next trip!
Me and my dad bought a volvo 360 gl 1987 for 200$ and it might become my first car and thats a cool honda
Yo dude awesome! If you fix er up and keep up on maintenance it'll last you forever! I had a 740 turbo manual wagon that got t-boned. Loved that car.
@@legodude19999 yeah me and my dad are probably gonna fix it upp a bit but we'll see what happens during the winter here in sweden. It is a really cool car and the enterior almost looks brand new but the outside has some small rust spots and some dents but for a runnig car wich costed 200$ (2000kr) I think that's really good and I would really like to have a 940 or a 740 wagon as a first car but a 360 ain't so bad either.
Hey man, a car is a car. It's nice they the interior is good, it's where you spend most of your time anyway. If you ever end up taking the carpet out id recommend sound deadner, especially by the wheel wells, really quieted mine down for daily driving.
@@legodude19999 ok thanks for thr tip
dunno why you'd get rid of a mugen valve cover, that was probably the rarest thing on the whole car
Audioscientist if you knew Mugen parts you'd know straight away that cover was fake.
Audioscientist yep fake valve cover
@@tekemon91 Im a nissan guy, i just know what i saw. thanks for the clarification y'all
what you think that's real? the real valve cover would cost more than the car itself.
chances are it's a replica :P
Moo-jen, as he says 🤣
Can I buy it for $5000? Let me know. thanks!
...okay fine. $10K?
I would buy it for $100k
I have 2000 civic si supercharged blue printed. Balanced, ported polished head . built by Church IN LONG BEACH 15k into drivetrain alone 119k miles interior is 9/10 its the crazy Pepsi electric blue..if you or any one wants one.

It’s so cheap modifying cars in america
Elijah Hua No, just that the honda civic is very inexpensive to mod. Not that the honda civic is a bad car, (i have one) but it is a low entry car into the tuner scene.
@@metrobooming3767 entry lvl is not same class as FWD world record holder 4 cylinder

That's what happens when literally millions of cars are driven and eventually junked. You can find decently functional parts for cheap for almost any car if you're willing to look.
Much purity in this build! Seriously though, great budget build. I'm all about the budget builds!
You made this car far better than when it was "modified". I hope you enjoy it for a long time.
