Hi Michelle, here's the link to the DIY Chiller video. All the links for what you'll need are in the description. Thanks for watching! ruclips.net/video/99_YJotgl2s/видео.html&ab_channel=Recovatech

Hey Recovatech! I finally assembled all the parts for the DIY chiller in your other video. It is outside on my patio (no room in the garage). How do I go about tearing it down every night to prevent theft/bugs in chiller vents/ rain on the chiller. I also think both(chiller/pump) need to be unplugged or they will run all night. There is no on and off switch. Removing the hoses is pretty rough since you have to use alot of strength/pushing just to get them on

As far as the theft issue, I'm not sure I can help you there. If you're worried about bugs, I'd just spray some bug killer around the unit. The chiller will only come on when it goes about 2 degrees above your set temp. If you want to prevent it from coming on, either unplug it or set it as a higher temperature. Unfortunately, the pump does always run but it doesn't draw a lot of power and it does help keep the water from getting stagnant. I do have another DIY where I place the chiller in a deck box. That might be something to look into: ruclips.net/video/x605-IoJSFI/видео.html

How many days before you recommend changing the water? or is their a chemical to help keep the water clean?

Yeah, if you don’t use any chemicals you will need to change the water about once a week. I use Sirona products. See my video “How to keep your cold plunge clean”

hey there thanks for the vids. I did the rocita chiller and used your instructions. It is working great right now in florida. I set it at 44, so in the morning its about 44 and in the after noon it goes up to 50 which is ok for me. I notice after a while a lil bit of water om the ground inassumed it was condensation for it seems like its leaking sometwhere not really sure where tho. Any tips on how to find it

More than likely condensation. In fact, as it gets hotter outside, it will only get worse with the Ice Pod. Unfortunately, not really sure how to counteract that. Ice Pod does sell an insulation sleeve that is supposed not only keep it cooler, but reduce the condensation. Thanks for commenting and watching!

I can’t get the cover to fit. How are you putting the cover on?

The insulated cover? It’s meant to fit tightly around it. If your pod is already filled with water, that’s probably why. Next time you empty it, put the cover on then and it will fit.
