Nice one. Thanks for sharing. It would be interesting to hear your guitar-learning story. Like why and when you started, how long it took you to get to this level, what was the most helpful experience, etc.

Thank you for your comment 😊
I want to answer your question as much as possible.
However, I can't speak English very well, so I use translation software to convert from Japanese.
Please forgive me, although the meaning of the sentence may not be conveyed well, or there may be incorrect words or wording.
The reply will continue after this.

I am a 54 year old Japanese man.
I've been playing the guitar since I was 13 years old.
The reason I wanted to play the guitar was because I longed for George Harrison of The Beatles.
Of course, there was also a desire to be popular with girls (laughs).
When I was 15 years old when I entered high school, I wanted to play in a rock band and bought an electric guitar.
In Japan at this time, it was said that playing an acoustic guitar was not cool, so I longed for a cool electric guitar.
A senior I met in high school changed my guitar life.
The senior was playing the finger style of an acoustic guitar.
      It was very cool.
I longed for that senior and started playing finger style.
At that time, I was playing Doc Watson, Stefan Grossman, Isato Nakagawa, Bert Jansch, and many other artists.
I used to copy and play all the music and sheet music that I could get.

The first open-tuned songs I played were those by Michael Hedges and Isato Nakagawa.
That made me learn a lot of tuning.
When I was young, I used to play a lot of effects, using various open tunings.
I started trying to make the sound politely because the sound became blurry or howling during the live performance.
I was strongly conscious of making the necessary sounds for the necessary lengths, and connecting the sounds smoothly like a long piece of cloth.
I also listened to the singing voice enthusiastically.
A nice singing voice is how the intonation is added, the voice and the breathing.
I thought that I had to imitate the song in order to play it like singing.

I am still studying this singing voice.
Also, I listen to the sounds of classical orchestras and use them as a reference for playing the guitar.
Is it okay to reply like this?
I hope it suits your question.
I'm sorry I wrote it for a long time.

I had one more thing I forgot to tell you.
When I arrange a song, I think of the bass sound I want to produce the most.
Play the bass sound and decide the position to attach the capo and open tuning that makes it easy to play the melody.
