Unpopular opinion, I don't think Nancy is as sweet as nice as she portrays herself to be. She tends to say kinda unnecessarily snarky things sometimes and her sweetness feels a bit over the top at times like it's an act. Either way, she still deserves better than Bartise and his nonsense
I think that the first season is ,and will stay the only season in which there were people actually ready for the commitment of marriage. Because half of the cast in this season is giving " iam still stuck in a high school level mentality ". I only like Alexa ,and bennon as a couple. For the others there is no hope.

What bothers me about this season is that people interview for the show before they get on it so they see these trash personalities that are clearly (in bachelor terms) “not here for the right reasons” and are like… let’s become a knock off love island! I can't get over the fact that in season 2 Natalie was in a abusive relationship with Shayne, and even watching the show we all could tell that there is something wrong with him, so it's sad and crazy that during his screening process he wasn't vetted out just because he was an entertaining character. Natalie could have been in a healthy and happy relationship instead of a toxic and abusive one if the show producers prioritised well being over views. I'm so glad Nancy was able to see through Andrew's perfect demeanour because she could have been another Natalie.
The producers and the host couple - Nick and Vanessa are definitely DESPICABLE people thoroughly lacking in ethics, morality... Basically any good quality. Anything to make a buck, including torturing people. Same goes for those involved with marriage at first sight.

Not even. I lost all respect for her when she openly admitted that she would absolutely abort her child that would possibly be special needs or down syndrome. I'm so glad the producers exposed andrew because even though he was saying a lot, he just lacked personality imo. We didn't get to know anything personal about him, all of the stories he shared could just be retold by any travel person. I also feel like Raven is low key clout chasing, she just seemed over the whole experiment overall. it was crazy how colleen got mad at people for objectifying her because she was a ballerina but she deliberately offered that information. If she were to change things up she could just say she works in the arts. I think she's putting blame in the wrong direction and needs to self evaluate.
She never talks about her love or passion for it, or how she always wanted to be a ballerina when she was a kid. Anything that would give it more depth than just “I’m a ballerina, I’m flexible, people find that hot right?”

I almost feel bad for her, but then she plays victim so much that I just can’t. My theory with Raven is that she just wants a guy that’ll take care of her, she literally says that’s what she’s used to. So when ole dude said he wasn’t gonna take care of EVERYTHING, you can tell she lost all interest and wanted to make it KNOWN (like was the clapping in the exercising necessary, she wanted him to hear it). In contrast to SK, there’s a stigma that Nigerians are rich, so she’s thinking that she scored a potential gold mine, cause you can tell she’s not really feeling him like that, especially since they weren’t even super physical initially.

For Love is Blind S1, I watched the recap first and then got interested in watching it. So, for S2 I watched the episodes first and then wished I only watched the recap. So now, after watching this recap I'm thankful I just watched the recap I do not like any of these people or their love stories to spend the hours watching the full episodes. Bartise failed already as in the whole point of the show was to go in not caring about the physical look of the person and see if you can emotionally connect with that person but because he saw raven looks he completely forgot about how they didn’t emotionally connect well so I already know he going to mess it up with Nancy and I’m pretty sure raven is going to call it quits with SK at the altar
It's like SK is so kind and respectful towards Raven and they actually seem to have deep meaningful conversations but they don't really go anywhere cuz Raven seems a bit off-putting. Cole sucks. Andrew is scary af. Bartise started great but then he showed his true side and damn, he shallow as hell.

I’m not here to diagnose anyone but some of the things Raven does reminds me of myself with my neurodivergence. Like if I didn’t think someone could see me or if I’m on the phone with someone I would be stimming somehow for her this could be working out as she does, like if she has to expel energy to focus better. I also have a really low sex drive and don’t show much physical affection. I can also sometimes have “resting bitch face” but really it’s just because I’m tired of masking. The way she talks about how it’s difficult to match her body language to her mental state felt like something I’ve said or felt in the past. The rejection sensitivity dysphoria causing someone to go “sour grapes” when their first pick or favorite person rejects them, bouncing to the next option and trying to convince yourself it’s what you wanted because the alternative - admitting how much it hurt to be rejected - is too much to bear and you just want to be happy. Again she could just be a stuck up narcissist bitch doing weird shit to be a producer favorite - but there could be more here than we (or even she) realize.

@@tourmii yeah that’s true but honestly I could see that also just being annoyed and not realizing that it’s okay to fall asleep, to me if I went into an activity with certain expectations - especially one that might mean something to me - and the other person didn’t stick to the “script” I had in my head I would have difficulty with that. Especially before I found and used the tools to help me deal with that. If she were trying to relax and share something special with him and he fell asleep she may feel like he doesn’t care and lashed out. That damn RSD again 😩
Prime example I fucking hate when my partner plans activities for us because he’s very fly by the seat of his pants and doesn’t plan anything ahead of time. One of our first dates I wore leather flats and a scuba dress (which I had to wear leggings with cause it didn’t quite fit well enough for me to go without confidently) and he wouldn’t tell me where we were going or what dress code expectations to have so I just dressed semi-nice for our date. I had recently lost about 50 lbs and was feeling myself, wanted to look cute, etc. He took me to a university’s fledgling arboretum on a hillside in June with the sun beating down from a surprising lack of shade, and way too many people running around. To him it was just “yeah we can go to this cool thing and I want to surprise you with it” but he didn’t realize I would need to know what to expect because any deviation from the plan or anything I put in being the opposite of what is needed just sends me spiraling. I was only a couple months post-WLS so I wasn’t in the best shape of my life. My face was burning from the sweat and the sun, I felt woozy from how little I was able to eat at once post surgery, I hadn’t brought the right snacks or water for my blood pressure drops that happen when I get too hot, no sunscreen so I had a nasty burn by the time we were finished. I thought we were gonna just go to a planetarium and maybe out to eat. I was so fucking miserable and literally power walked through it to get it over with. He couldn’t understand why I was being so shitty about it, cause on the outside it just looked like I was being a bitch for no reason. And at the time I couldn’t explain exactly what it was that was making me feel so crazy. I didn’t know if I wanted to stay with him after that because of how to me it felt like he was just being inconsiderate or trying to “make me exercise more”. That’s been 4 years ago and he still sucks at planning dates but now I at least know to ask questions and tell him what I need to know and why, or looking it up myself if he doesn’t. The number of times we’ve stayed home because he just ASSUMED something would be open but one quick Google search told me they are closed on Tuesdays, or seasonally, or it costed money and we didn’t have it to spare. It’s so infuriating sometimes. Then there are times I plan a date and we go to do it and even then when I’m the person doing the planning if something goes wrong or if he is disinterested/makes a face or doesn’t want to do a thing I would get upset then too because in my head I just have the feeling that it’s not the activity he’s rejecting it’s me personally. And it sucks and it’s not fair or right to the partner, it’s not an excuse - but it is an explanation. And if that’s what’s happening here it’s something I fear she may continue to struggle with in any relationship if she doesn’t get the tools added to her belt to deal with those problems when they come up rather than just creating more of an issue than the original.

We’re all unique and imperfect, if indeed there is anything such as perfect. I am a mother whose oldest children are in their teens. They’re fast approaching the age of these contestants. I find myself wanting to give each of the participants words of encouragement: You are worthy of love, whether you find a life partner in the next five minutes or never.

I heard the other day on NPR that suicide rates among teens have QUADRUPLED in the last decade (which is how long it’s been since I was a teen myself) and that scared the hell out of me. I blame social media putting expectations of perfection in peoples heads, or making them blind to the possibility that there is room for growth or that there is hope for rehabilitation. I felt so bad for this woman even if it’s not the reason she’s acting the way she is - the traits she exhibits ARE tendencies that I see for many ND people (including BPD which is forgotten oftentimes when people talk about that) and I’m sure equally difficult for people who also saw themselves in her and are now seeing the hate 😩
I'm so frustrated with Andrew! Asian-American representation, he's good looking and (wants to?)/appears smart, and yet he's such a douche? They really couldn't find someone better? I hate this show (yet I'm always back for a new season, so joke's on me). Also I'm mad that we finally get some "fat" representation, but only one of the women, none of the men, and the first thing they have Alexa talk about is her weight. At least that was the only time so far I think, let's hope it was just this once.

I think that the first season is ,and will stay the only season in which there were people actually ready for the commitment of marriage. I can't get over the fact that in season 2 Natalie was in a abusive relationship with Shayne, and even watching the show we all could tell that there is something wrong with him, so it's sad and crazy that during his screening process he wasn't vetted out just because he was an entertaining character. Natalie could have been in a healthy and happy relationship instead of a toxic and abusive one if the show producers prioritised well being over views. I'm so glad Nancy was able to see through Andrew's perfect demeanour because she could have been another Natalie.

My theory with Raven is that she just wants a guy that’ll take care of her, she literally says that’s what she’s used to. So when ole dude said he wasn’t gonna take care of EVERYTHING, you can tell she lost all interest and wanted to make it KNOWN (like was the clapping in the exercising necessary, she wanted him to hear it).
In contrast to SK, there’s a stigma that Nigerians are rich, so she’s thinking that she scored a potential gold mine, cause you can tell she’s not really feeling him like that, especially since they weren’t even super physical initially.

I’m not here to diagnose anyone but some of the things Raven does reminds me of myself with my neurodivergence. Like if I didn’t think someone could see me or if I’m on the phone with someone I would be stimming somehow for her this could be working out as she does, like if she has to expel energy to focus better. I also have a really low sex drive and don’t show much physical affection. I can also sometimes have “resting bitch face” but really it’s just because I’m tired of masking. The way she talks about how it’s difficult to match her body language to her mental state felt like something I’ve said or felt in the past. The rejection sensitivity dysphoria causing someone to go “sour grapes” when their first pick or favorite person rejects them, bouncing to the next option and trying to convince yourself it’s what you wanted because the alternative - admitting how much it hurt to be rejected - is too much to bear and you just want to be happy. Again she could just be a stuck up narcissist bitch doing weird shit to be a producer favorite - but there could be more here than we (or even she) realize.
i was thinking the same thing initially but then she seemed actually annoyed when SK fell asleep during the sound bath. like girl he said this is the first time he's done it and clearly it got him relaxed if he fell asleep lmao
@@tourmii yeah that’s true but honestly I could see that also just being annoyed and not realizing that it’s okay to fall asleep, to me if I went into an activity with certain expectations - especially one that might mean something to me - and the other person didn’t stick to the “script” I had in my head I would have difficulty with that. Especially before I found and used the tools to help me deal with that. If she were trying to relax and share something special with him and he fell asleep she may feel like he doesn’t care and lashed out. That damn RSD again 😩
Prime example I fucking hate when my partner plans activities for us because he’s very fly by the seat of his pants and doesn’t plan anything ahead of time.
One of our first dates I wore leather flats and a scuba dress (which I had to wear leggings with cause it didn’t quite fit well enough for me to go without confidently) and he wouldn’t tell me where we were going or what dress code expectations to have so I just dressed semi-nice for our date. I had recently lost about 50 lbs and was feeling myself, wanted to look cute, etc.
He took me to a university’s fledgling arboretum on a hillside in June with the sun beating down from a surprising lack of shade, and way too many people running around.
To him it was just “yeah we can go to this cool thing and I want to surprise you with it” but he didn’t realize I would need to know what to expect because any deviation from the plan or anything I put in being the opposite of what is needed just sends me spiraling. I was only a couple months post-WLS so I wasn’t in the best shape of my life. My face was burning from the sweat and the sun, I felt woozy from how little I was able to eat at once post surgery, I hadn’t brought the right snacks or water for my blood pressure drops that happen when I get too hot, no sunscreen so I had a nasty burn by the time we were finished.
I thought we were gonna just go to a planetarium and maybe out to eat. I was so fucking miserable and literally power walked through it to get it over with. He couldn’t understand why I was being so shitty about it, cause on the outside it just looked like I was being a bitch for no reason. And at the time I couldn’t explain exactly what it was that was making me feel so crazy. I didn’t know if I wanted to stay with him after that because of how to me it felt like he was just being inconsiderate or trying to “make me exercise more”.
That’s been 4 years ago and he still sucks at planning dates but now I at least know to ask questions and tell him what I need to know and why, or looking it up myself if he doesn’t. The number of times we’ve stayed home because he just ASSUMED something would be open but one quick Google search told me they are closed on Tuesdays, or seasonally, or it costed money and we didn’t have it to spare. It’s so infuriating sometimes.
Then there are times I plan a date and we go to do it and even then when I’m the person doing the planning if something goes wrong or if he is disinterested/makes a face or doesn’t want to do a thing I would get upset then too because in my head I just have the feeling that it’s not the activity he’s rejecting it’s me personally. And it sucks and it’s not fair or right to the partner, it’s not an excuse - but it is an explanation.
And if that’s what’s happening here it’s something I fear she may continue to struggle with in any relationship if she doesn’t get the tools added to her belt to deal with those problems when they come up rather than just creating more of an issue than the original.
@@MagicalMissMikki I really appreciate your observations, outlook, and advice. I especially appreciate giving the show’s participants the benefit of the doubt. After all, they’re all human. We’re all unique and imperfect, if indeed there is anything such as perfect. I am a mother whose oldest children are in their teens. They’re fast approaching the age of these contestants. I find myself wanting to give each of the participants words of encouragement: You are worthy of love, whether you find a life partner in the next five minutes or never.
@@pechaa it’s got to be so hard raising kids with the state of the world right now. I heard the other day on NPR that suicide rates among teens have QUADRUPLED in the last decade (which is how long it’s been since I was a teen myself) and that scared the hell out of me. I blame social media putting expectations of perfection in peoples heads, or making them blind to the possibility that there is room for growth or that there is hope for rehabilitation. I felt so bad for this woman even if it’s not the reason she’s acting the way she is - the traits she exhibits ARE tendencies that I see for many ND people (including BPD which is forgotten oftentimes when people talk about that) and I’m sure equally difficult for people who also saw themselves in her and are now seeing the hate 😩
I'm so frustrated with Andrew! Asian-American representation, he's good looking and (wants to?)/appears smart, and yet he's such a douche? They really couldn't find someone better? I hate this show (yet I'm always back for a new season, so joke's on me).
Also I'm mad that we finally get some "fat" representation, but only one of the women, none of the men, and the first thing they have Alexa talk about is her weight. At least that was the only time so far I think, let's hope it was just this once.

I think SK and Nancy would have been great together AND Zanab and Matthew (Coleens guy). That would make much more sense in my opinion. All the matches this season seem absolutely awful except for Alexa & Brennon! But time will tell….
