You can do anything you put your mind to and put in the work towards. Study hard in school, go to college, study aeronautics, then join the AF or Air National Guard. Stay positive! Aim High! You’ll do well!
@@cyantology Why? Flying involves very basic math and the air force doesn't care what degree you have just as long as you have decent GPA.
Great! 😄
make a powerful air force in this world

I am a sophomore in high school and want to join the USAF when I graduate. However, I had psychological treatment for about four years as a kid. This went as far as me being hospitalized for 2 years from ages 8-10. I have been stable and since I was 12, is it likely this history would disqualify me from enlisting into the AF?
This could potentially be medically disqualifying. However, the doctor at the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) makes that determination. Your local recruiter can have your medical records for this condition prescreened by the doctor at MEPS for a preliminary ruling in your particular situation. While you are still too young to enlist into the Air Force, it is never too early to start preparing. There are a few things you can do now to prepare for once you reach the required age. First study hard and graduate from high school. Get the best grades you can in all subjects especially English, Math and Science. This will help you improve your score on the ASVAB test which is required for enlistment. Say no to drugs and get an early start on physical conditioning are important steps in the right direction. And stay out of trouble. Law violations can delay and in some cases will disqualify you from joining the Air Force and taking advantage of the opportunities available. Starting early and being prepared are your best shot. Stay in contact with your Guidance Counselor and maybe we will see you in a few years. You may view our career fields the Air Force has to offer using this link. By Federal Law you must be at least age 17 with parental consent and at least a junior to have an appointment with a recruiter. However, you may speak to recruiters when they come to your school.

Air Mobility Command -- ignoring the Air Refueling Community once again. This video is a slap to the face to anyone who works in the Air Refueling business. This video featured a trivial SIX seconds to a core competency of our US Air Force. And no, our tankers aren't just there when our "fighters have to travel halfway around the world." Epic fail USAF Recruiting and Public Affairs.
Serious question, how often do aerial refuelers do their job outside of just training?
@@mattheww9763 Isn't it part of the job of the military is to train? What's the point?
