I have often puzzled over the '3', especially as I reject the false doctrine of the trinity. But the explanation of the blood being in the shape of the letter 'tsadi' makes a great deal of sense to me. Indeed, the whole association of 'linen' makes good Scriptural sense.

False doctrine of the trinity? How do you arrive at that conclusion please? The plurality of the Godhead is spelled out from the very start of the Bible. You and I are created in the image of God and we are a living soul which resides in a body having the spirit of life....3 in one as God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The bible says.....There are numerous verses in the Hebrew scriptures that either assert or imply the plurality of God, for example:
Gen. 1:26, “Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.'”
Angels do not create. We are not made in the image of angels.
There is no place in the OT where a leader refers to himself with the term “us.”
Gen. 3:22, “Then the Lord God said, ‘Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, lest he stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever.'”
The Hebrew word Elohim referencing God is a plural word. Remember also when Jesus was baptized the voice of the Father, the Holy Spirit as a dove and Jesus were all present. Please explain to us your thoughts.......

Topic : The properties of the Shroud of Turin
To all those geniuses, that claim that it is a painting produced by a medieval painter circa 1500 AC, please find another painting (work of art from any period by ANY painter ) that when photographed would produced and exhibits the properties produced (a 3 dimensional positive of a negative) in the Shroud of Turin. The date is irrelevant (whether its a modern or ancient work of art) because what I am focusing here on this post is on the PROPERTIES which the Shroud exhibits when studied by competent scientists in a control environment .
My main claim is that these properties are ONLY found in the Shroud of Turin and NO were else on planet earth therefore it is NOT a work of art made by a man but it is a miracle performed by Jehovah God himself. The day that anyone could duplicate the results/properties of the Shroud of Turin in a man made painting then I will believe it is a painting, till then I will acknowledge it as the Shroud linen that covered the dead body of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ preserved by a miracle performed by ALL MIGHTY Jehovah God (The Father) himself.
Concerning the dating in which it was made , my opinion (which I could be wrong on it) is that it is the burial Shroud linen of our Lord Jesus Christ. My main claim on this post , which is a FACT, is that it was made by Jehovah God and NOT by man. Why I state it as a FACT ?, because the PROPERTIES it exhibits ,which NO man has been able to replicate. This Shroud was NOT made by human hands but by Jehovah God himself.
To all you atheists and unbelievers I say this; bring me an example of another painting, from any period in history , that has the SAME properties (when studied in a control environment) that the Shroud of Turin has/exhibits and I will be convinced it is a forgery/fake produced by a man. Are you up to the challenge at hand?, if you are then LETS THE GAMES BEGIN.

Why was the "image" not mentioned in the gospels??....also would jews keep something covered in a person's blood? (genuine questions).
Blood was considered part of the body, so they would keep it.

Jewish bodies are wrapped in a cloth before burial in a way that you can't see any part of the body. Therefore you can only know who the body was by trusting whoever has wrapped the cloth around the body. Its an "insult" to look at a dead body in Judaism. The problem here is that Judaism has VERY RIGOROUS laws concerning how to live and how to die. Jewish law requires a dead body to be ritualistic cleaned up before burial by a trained individual who knows the Torah and the burial laws. The blood in the shroud does not make absolutely any sense at all. To me the blood there is one more piece of evidence that points to fraud. The Catholic church could settle this debate by letting scientists chose non damaged parts of the shroud to be carbon dated. The fact they don't want to carbon date the shroud shows the shroud is a forgery. Also, I mean c'mon the church is mother of forgeries.

Christianity (or as someone I know calls it grisslianity) has always struck me as probably being a kind of paganised Judaism. "The church" is of course deeply corrupt. Thanks again.

Mark Antonacci disagrees with Ray Rogers interpretation of the invisible reweaving in his book Test the Shroud at the Atomic and Molecular Levels chapter 9 and offers more plausible explanations for the erroneous carbon dating.

Focusing on an image rather than the word is fundamentally wrong.

Jn 19: 40 tells us what manner the Jews covered the dead.
So does Jn 20: 6--7. And.
Jn 11: 44.
There's no mention of a shroud.
Not only that, but image on the shroud looks nothing like Jesus would have looked.
He was so badly marred because He was whipped open, that He wasn't recognized as a man. The people around the cross were horrified at the way Jesus looked He was so disfigured. Jesus could see and count His bones and intestines.
Does that look like the man's image on the shroud.

Besides the strips of linen cloths and the head cover would have had the image on Not a shroud.

@@alanhales239 the shroud wouldnt be able to show 100% detail. It does show a swollen face, which would have been much worse 3 days prior. You can basically see his bone outlines but you'd probably be able to see his actual bones in person through the wounds. The shroud is just a flash of light.
