- The church in Rosate (Italy) was one of the first to be built in Christianity, as it was already the spiritual centre of the entire plain in the early Middle Ages. The Romanesque temple was rebuilt in neoclassical style in the 19th century, when it attained its present form. The ancient tower was raised to a height of 48 metres. The old wooden support for the bells was replaced in 1888, when the new concert of eight bells in B-flat major, which are among the most famous in Europe for their perfectly preserved ancient musical tradition, was built. The Barigozzi foundry in Milan made the bells and the unique cast-iron support. The sixth bell was rebuilt after the Second World War, as it was cracked.

In the 21st century, the mechanical wooden keyboard and the eight strings with which the bells are rung were restored. On major feast days, they attract many young bellringers from all over Lombardy because they are famous. The bell concert is the one that closed the feast day at the end of May. The ringing of bells is in honour of Saint Stephen, who was carried in procession for over an hour through the streets of the village. This is the longest ringing of the year, being a fundamental moment for the community, which at the end saw the blessing with the state to the town.
The most important original church was in the Romanesque style, built in 1059 as a sign of the growing importance of the parish of Rosate, whose territory encompassed all the villages of the entire plain for tens of kilometres. The territory inexplicably passed under Pavia in 1797, beginning the phase of decline that was to end with the loss of all the parishes. The interior of the neoclassical church is adorned with a number of drapes, in keeping with the thousand-year-old tradition that has been lost in many places. The drapes signify respect for what is being celebrated, while throughout the village there are hundreds of stalls selling antiques and food. Inside the video is one of the oldest rites, which is done in honour of the martyrs.
