I have 7 years wonderful memories living in SG. Levendour Kopi Tiam was the place I used to have my dinner in while coming back from my health club in Bugis. God bless Singapore.....
@@dineshsemal That's not too long ago. Almost right before we have our lockdown 😊 Hopefully things are going well on your side. Our country should be opening up by the end of this year
@@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV Definitely I would visit SG again, now I have been working in Porto City, Portugal with a French Bank. But always cherish my wonderful years in SG.
@@dineshsemal 😊 That's on the another side of the globe! Hope things are okay over in Portugal. Singapore will always be waiting for you to come back 😊 In the meantime, stay safe and healthy
Missing Singapore. From the Philippines. I am familiar with the Lavender area. Stayed twice at Lavender Hotel, just above the MRT station. Ultra convenient since the same subway line connects to very near Changi airport. maybe after Covid, I ll visit again.
Visited in 2016, 2017 and 2019. Really enjoyed my visits. Everything is orderly and the MRT is super convenient to use. And the food was delicious. Only problem is Singapore and the Philippines share the same hot weather. Am glad that things are returning to normal there.
Haha. Agreed on the hot and humid weather. We are currently going through the dry months now so it's especially humid. Yeah it seems the covid situation is under control and I hope it continues this way. We started administering the vaccines to our elderly and hopefully it will be done by end April.
Every I visited Singapore, I always stayed in Lavender, threre are a lot of inexpensive hotels and foodstalls. Missed this place. Greetings from Indonesia.
Glad to hear from you Rosy 😊 yeah the hotels here are much more affordable compared to the rest of the city. Also considered near to city centre plus food choices are not lacking 😊
Thank you for this video of touring around some places in Singapore in the late evening. I should be most grateful if you would show the food being sold in the food stores which I believe would enhance the understanding of your food culture.
Thanks for the feedback Chau. In regards to food I will try my best to focus on and stay a bit longer. That said if you are keen to know more of Singapore cuisines you can take a look at "Gregory Leow" RUclips channel for a more indepth look at our food 😊
Nice to hear from you Mardy 😊 it's a convenient hotel to stay at. the lavender area is alot quieter now without the tourists 😔 hope the pandemic goes away sooner rather than later
I used to walk this stretch every day at 1 point in time. Was working at Asperia at that point in my life. Anyways, the DJI pocket does well in low light ya. Video looking good there! Enjoyed the walk too!
Quite a few tourists would be staying in the area. V Hotel and Hotel Boss are quite large mid tier hotels. Quite new so it's pleasant to stay (I think)
Almost the native metro station "Lavender".My hotel "Boss" is somewhere nearby in a 5-minute walk, but I did not see it.So this is the area where I lived for almost 2 weeks?!

@@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV Thanks for the reply. And I did not know that there are so many cafes very close to the hotel).I often went to one place to eat in 2 steps from the metro, already on the way to the hotel.Nice neighborhood! Although in Singapore, every neighborhood is good..
You can watch the recent "Golden Mile" video I posted. My ending location is relatively close to Lavender MRT and therefore close by to Hotel Boss. You can Google map some of the locations to have an idea. Will try to do an afternoon walk near Hotel Boss one of these days 😊
