That's an incredible deal! Give the attachment a shot, it's pretty cool.

There are other brands of these side cutting attachments, for low shank machines, as well, look for Side Cutter, or Ruby, there are a few other similar names, like Cut & Sew, Cut 'n Sew, some people call it a mini serger attachment. It does a nice neat job, like shown here, on some fabrics, but if you sew a lot of synthetics, the blade wears out faster, & you get chewing, instead of cutting, & it can jam your machine. The side cutters are NOT a serious replacement for a serger, they don't come anywhere close to the speed & quality of a good serger, but for small cutting & overedging jobs, particularly with natural fiber wovens, they can do a good job, just remember that a longer stitch will make it sew & trim the fastest, with the least amount of problems, as long as the blade hasn't gotten dull. Great video!

What happens when the blade gets dull, is it useless?

...you mentioned that this machine is show...you do realize that the speed control is first notch on the dial is fast, second notch is slow (opposite as to what we would expect)...sewing on that first notch is pretty fast for a domestic machine...........

      I don't think this is a 930, or maybe it's a newer 930 than mine, mine doesn't have a thread cutter.

Unfortunately no, I'm using a 707 and a 830 but only the 830 has the twin attachment points on the bed.

I have this attachment. Never used it. I thought I would with my Bernina Artista but sold machine and accidently included the foot there. Can I buy just the foot?

Did you ever find just a foot? I'm also missing the foot. I have had a play with the 470 foot but I don't think they're a great pair...

I have this foot, but the 578 doesn't fit my Bernina 1230. Do you know if you could use the cut and sew with a regular overcast foot?

I have a KL. 1130 Cut 'n' Sew for my Bernina Limited Edition which I think was an advanced model made just before the 1230 came out. My Cut 'n' Sew uses a #90 foot and may work on the 1230. I love your work!

Will this fit an older model not sure model 0013 1300. Could you please tell me will it fit the machine it is about 20 years young

Ya, it should fit. The accessory holes are a fixed distance from the needle and are consistent between models for the most part.
