Dance performed by the Vessels of Fire at RDM's end of the year program on May 14, 2011. One of our favorites :) song: "O Sifuni Mungu" *I DO NOT OWN THIS SONG*
I learned a very similar dance to this song about 13 years ago. It's uncanny how many of the moves are the same. I'm wondering where you learned the choreography?
*performed by Vessels of Fire and Honor, you just can't see us (: and @monikawrites I'm not actually certain where the choreography came from....i can find out (:
Wow! Clearly those that are in awe have no clue of this type of music nor authentic African dance. I wonder what research was done before putting this piece together. I will try to be kind as this is obviously a place of worship and it is nice that these worshipers appear to be embracing another culture’s form of praise. I’ll just say in the future please take more time in order to make the presentation more authentic...I’m not saying perfect...just more true to form.
