Idk if you figured out your silks problem. I had a similar issue but figured it out. Both of my silkscreens were really small. I found I had to go to the plot tool then make sure it was in DXF format. Then I made sure that my units were correct. Previously my silks had been tiny because my board was exported in metric and the silks had been in inches. So when I used the correct units everything was perfect.
@mathcodeprint when you export dxf file mark that you want to do it in mm because in freecad you have mm and then it start working those silks import i got same
I think more or less recently there has been an update to the online repository of addons which made it incompatible with FreeCAD 0.17, so try with FreeCAD 0.18 or 0.19. The best way to run FreeCAD on Linux is via the AppImage, it has no dependencies so just downloading it, making it executable with chmod +x the_file_name.AppImage and running it with ./the_file_name.AppImage is enough.
If you are starting with an existing pcb, start video at 5:31. Up to that point, there's nothing but creating a demo pcb in Kicad.
I didn't know that the forms could be created for the pcb so easily. I have to fiddle with it a little!! Thanks
Great topic! Thank you for creating this tutorial! 🙏 I've already subbed and thumbed up the vid!

In FreeCad, in addon manager I have only one add-on appearing, one called 3D_printing_tool. Any idea why others don't show?
Same problem here

@@driver55it See my reply above, try with FreeCAD 0.19, install the AppImage (online add-on repository is now incompatible with 0.17)
thank!!!
