All around awesome, man. I really should learn this song to, you've inspired me haha. You're spot on with timing and the tone. One of my favorites from WATG (even though it's Thrice's song 😂)

Now I look back at this video. Maybe there were too many cuts, haha. Very glad you enjoy it, man. Thank you for your kind words!

@@MattLi What string gauges are you using? I keep 12-56 on my les Paul for Drop C, tuned it up to C# for this one and it was just too much. Made it pretty hard to play. I can play it fine in Drop B with the lower tension.

@@ZachMcCordProg I used 10-52 on this guitar for Drop C# or Drop C. 11 or 12 would be too hard for me to play as well. So I recommend some lighter strings. 12-56 should be fine in Drop B.

Also, what kind of guitar is that and what other tools would I need to make the sound for this song (amp, pedals, etc?)

    • @MattLi

@@bsoxfan03 Thanks for your kind words. It is an old Matt Heafy Signature Model. You can use real amps and pedals like EVH 5150, Tube Screamer, etc. Or you can also try some amp sims like plugins from Neural DSP. Their Plugins have so many incredible tones. Have a nice day!

Which pedal do you use for distortion, please help me there?

I was using Bias FX which is a plugin installed in my DAW. Now I prefer TSE x50. It's much better than Bias FX. Hope this will help.
