I like the insect guards U put on the vents. Can you send me the link to order? I will need to measure. I just bought a 2005 Casita Spirit, Deluxe, from a friend, love it. Have camped in it before. Can't wait to take it out on my own this Spring. I enjoy your videos, & watching them makes me excited to get going! Keep 'em coming!
I am getting a lot of your ideas and taking them into my recently purchased 1998 Casita Spririt Deluxe '17. Will get the dehumidifier next and keep a sharp eye on your videos. Be well and many thanks for the tips.
It would be much easier to just go all the way and replace the toilet with a litter box. Then you could just scoop it out once a week. But remember to change the bath matts to astroturf and rub your feet good when coming out. After a few months, you won't even need to use the shower any more. You'll be licking yourself clean.
Thanks for the videos, your positive attitude is infectious. I’ll soon be 51 and find the older I get the less I want or need. I do hope to travel out west and just see as much of this country before the lights go dim.
I like stand guard at the door of your mind. You are in Texas. You would like Esther Hicks talks. Thousands of them free on youtube. Very insightful and witty.
You home looks comfy and wonderful. And thanks for the closeup of Olive Oil. I had adjusted my screen resolution and it helped me see her features better on the previous video too.
If you run the ac heat a little it will help with the condensation issue. We had the same problem in our 13' scamp. That heat strip was worth every penny. Love your videos.
That looks cozy and clever. If only I could get over my shoe-and-handbag hoarding issues! Re books, my old Nook held 10,000 books (per the company). Now that my Nook died, I find that my USAS tablet still has plenty of capacity. I loaded the Nook and Kindle apps and I can download books to read, delete the file when I am done, and download again from my account if I ever want to reread a book. I could download the Nook and Kindle apps onto my phone and use that if I wanted to.
@@rusty78609 Oh. Well I'm 6'2 and sleep scrunched, so I guess sleeping across the width is doable for me. Btw, was just watching your Alamogordo vids (Lowe's, McGinn's, Oliver Lee) since we're planning on doing some tent camping down that way late March. Good stuff.
Hey Rusty, can you give me the brand, model and where did you buy that dish strainer you have in the sink? It looks like a tight fit. BTW I know others mentioned to you already but that link to Amazon with the list of items is not working, it just sends you to the Amazon main portal. Thanks!
The two cast iron items you use to cook; The flat one is called, A Griddle and and the pan is called A cast iron skillet. We just don't want to confuse the Rusty Rangers with your high tech talk. Rock on! Sharkey
Rusty, Awesome plan sir, looks like you are in heaven! How did you find such a place? A couple of questions as I am in North Texas, does it cost a ton to keep the camper warm? electric or propane? (also, will you stack square bales of hay around the bottom in winter to keep the wind from beneath?) Do you have water on your place or do you haul it in, I know wells are expensive. What did it run you to pour your slab and have your cover built? Basically, how much for your spot and monthly outlay to live? I've been thinking of doing the same and need an idea (realistic) of what I'm looking at. If you'd rather not make it public, please respond to me at Gmail. Thanks, awesome video.
Good deal! If you get a pkg of chicken legs or thighs and add a cup of water and set for 20 minutes you can get all meat off bones once cooled enough then I put all the bones back in and add a couple of cups of water and set pot for 90 minutes. Add celery and carrots and dried onions and bay leaf if you want before you close it up. You will end up with very nutritious bone broth. Might have to add salt and pepper to taste. I cook the chicken without seasonings, that way the meat can be used for several different dishes and seasoned then.
Hey Rusty I always watch your videos in full, I click on the 'THUMBS UP' but I go back sometimes to review something you said and RUclips makes it look like I never seen it before, the thumbs up is not lit up? I see this a lot with your videos, the thumbs up disappears as if you never viewed? Just to let you know Rusty I watch/listen every video you tape. Just thought I would advise you about the Thumbs up/down feature. Sharkey

Didn’t you change your battery? Are you satisfied with your overall space and bathroom or do you prefer a little larger with a dry bathroom? I’m just wondering if it’s just too small? Thanks for your wisdom.
Rusty, just checking in on you for the first time in awhile, I see you didn't turn your Casita around when you returned back home, how come? How are you liking your Casita just backed in to the covered area and your view now?
Rusty, I used your Amazon link to purchase two items today, Sunday. I didn't see any acknowledgment associated with your link or should I? I'm assuming that I did it correctly. Thanks!
Hey Rusty, your videos are great as usual, but I noticed that you still haven't covered how to select land or what we should be expecting to pay if we're going to live a similar lifestyle (which is supposed to be what your videos are about anyhow). I've never seen you cover the process you went through to buy that land there & how you got off grid (or partially anyhow). Would appreciate it if you could create some content on how you selected your piece of land (sharing what your experience was like in other words).
@@rusty78609 right, but what I'm asking is what to look for versus what to stay away from when trying to live in the same type of situation. How much land does it require & is it residential, rural, or agricultural land? How much would we expect to pay for a similar piece of land in your area? I live in Florida & just trying to get ideas because I know that the county can have many restrictions in the deeds, etc..
Nice complete tour.👍

BTW, these are some brilliant upgrades. Very impressive. Great to get good user data for this.
Insect screens are great! Gratitude for your video!
One of your better videos. Thanks!
Try DampRid 4lb. tub they say it lasts 6 months and does a great job of eliminating the moisture in the air.
ok...thanks
I appreciate you bringing us in your home and showing us how you live, how interesting and cool!
Good job Rusty like your videos I am definitely interested in a Casita keep the videos coming

I just love that pillow case with the travel trailers! Your nest looks just perfect and cozy, Rusty!
Thank you for the Tour of your Home Rusty!

Great solution for the trash bag. That's been my biggest challenge living in a trailer. No room for trash. HA

84 sq. ft. = a very nice comfortable home. You have made it into all that a person needs.
Great update on your 2019 Spirit Deluxe Casita. Keep on polishing the diamond my friend.
I see You started to park the camper with the hitch facing out .and what is the tape on the corner of door where the microwave compartment padding ?

Rusty, will you get a furnace in the future?
your casita looks shorter than 16'?
All trailers' length subtract about 3 feet for the tongue.
The metal trailer a unit sits on is the technical measured length.
How’s the freedom?
Thanks for the tour, Rusty. Lots of handy tips 👍🏻
Using one swivel chair all the time, would that not wear down the cushion? Will at some point do plan on using the other swivel chair? Sharkey

When you throw #2 in the trash, where is the trash?
This isn't rocket science. You toss the turd bags into a larger bin outside a good distance from the camper...
Hey, Rusty. What happened to the Instant Pot? Not worth the space?
That skillet is cast iron. The best way to cook.
