    Horst has always been one of my favourite reviewers and here's why. Despite unfair criticism in some quarters that he is just plugging his stock he's never been able to disguise his own preferences or dislikes. You can always tell what Horst really thinks from his facial expressions. He knew he couldn't hide it here so gave us prior warning.

    I bought this one last June for my birthday and had a little and to be honest didn't like it that much.Ieft it in my collection shelf until tonight when I was watching another whisky review by you and when it finished this one started. I put some in my glass and watched this video and did exactly what you were doing , oh my goodness, it tasted completely different from last year. I have to admit that I have learned a lot since then but didn't expect it tastes like this. I am gonna have some more and watch AUS open women tennis final. Cheers to you and all whisky lovers around the world .

    After watching dozens of your reviews Horst - I've bought & drank some fantastic single malts that you enjoyed tasting too.
    Malts such as Dalwhinnie 15 yr old & Glengoyne 21yr old.
    Now a bottle of Glenfarclas 25 yr old is to be opened tomorrow night & i can't wait.
    Great review Horst & keep them coming :)

    Hi Horst. I'm loving your reviews now you're doing some in English. You've got a really great style. It's well over my normal budget but treated myself to a bottle of this recently and it's amazing stuff. If i could have a dram of this every day until i die i would go a very happy man.

    I just found a bottle of this today - only one on the shelf (in the locked glass cabinet at the liquor store). Glenfarclas in my favorite scotch, having enjoyed the 10, 12 and 17 year bottles, so I had t snap this one up - even at $180 with tax. I'm gonna try to save the opening of the bottle for a special occasion, but I doubt I'll be able to hold out even 1 week.

    Ive only had the Glenfarclas 17 and its in my top 5 maybe top 3 whiskies and ive bought about 50 bottles of whisky so far. Glenfarclas 17 is liquid gold to me, not too complex and not too young, just perfect with a delicious taste and very high enjoyability. Im intersted in trying another Glenfarclas but worried that Im gonna still gonna think the 17 is better.

    Thanks for all your great reviews, Horst! I can get the 21y old for €96. Its the only Glenfarclas expression available in Oslo at the moment. Would you say it's a definate buy? I haven't tried any from this destillery yet.

    I see you have not done a tasting of the GF21 years I was lucky to find a returned bottle at the LCBO and picked it up. Would enjoy your tasting notes on it.
    As always I look forward to and enjoy all of your tasting vlogs.
    Cheers

    I bought a bottle of this for my good buddy's bachelor party in May. Given the price, I was rather disappointed. Personally, I think Glenlivet 18 is smoother and tastes better and about $75 cheaper at that.

Most 12yo but some "nas" to and some blends. Prefer single malt. Funny thing i stop drinkin beer.😄 Best cheap dram yet tamnavulin sherry cask. Have you tried it?

    Hello Horst! I'm about to click the order button on this one any day now, and I was wondering how you'd compare this to the 21 year old? Is it a Glenfarclas 21 video on its way any soon? Thank you for epic whisky reviews!

    Great video. Sometimes the expression on your face is worth more than the words, it must be an incredible dram. What score would you give it, out of 100?

    • @Whiskycom
      @Whiskycom  10 лет назад

      Sry I don't rate the whiskies. There is a good of thumb: If I try the glass twice the whisky was exceptional good. I you want a rating I would rather have a look at the user ratings:
      It got 4.7 out of 5.0

    Am I just crazy or do you have some videos in German too? I've been avoiding your videos all this time because I thought they were in German. Now I'm going to be busy for a while.

    • @Whiskycom
      @Whiskycom  9 лет назад +3

      neandrewthal Yes, we started with videos in German in 2007 and since 2014 we do have English videos. All the English videos have English Titles (Whisky Tasting). All the German Videos have German titles (Whisky Verkostung). Good rule of thumb. If you don't understand the title, you won't understand the video. We classified our videos as German or English, but google still shows them to everyone. Maybe a RUclips update will change that in the future.

    Is there a big difference between the Glenfarclas 21 yo and the 25 yo ? Because i tried yesterday the 21 yo and i like it so much.
    Very good review =)

    • @peewee678
      @peewee678 9 лет назад

      Sébastien Chabin I personally think there's a big difference. The 25Y does not seem to be simply a continuation of the 21Y but a different beast alltogether. The 21Y is very clean and in a way rather light in character whereas the 25Y is much more complex (has lots of depth). I like them both (although the 21Y is actually a bit of a disappointment for it's age but here in Holland it's relatively "cheap") but I realy prefer the 25Y old.

      From what the users are saying the 25 y.o. has a bit of a chocolate note, but see for yourself:

    • @Whiskycom
      @Whiskycom  9 лет назад

      The GM18 is quite difficult to discribe. It is far more spicy, than one would expect of a GM. The Aberlour 15yrs Cask Reserve has a similar intensity. But the taste in detail is of course different.
