Yeah, the more reviews I see the clearer it is the 5x is a mixed bag. It has the usual problems associated with ultra-long focal length equivalent cameras, with the image at 19:18 for instance having a ton of noise issues on the upper third of the image, without the insanity of having a 10x optical telephoto to sort of offset that. So you get an okay 5x optical zoom that only mostly beats out digital zoom on a 3x camera, while at the same time absolutely slaughtering image quality at the very useful 3-4.9x range. What about battery life? Also, is there finally a software option / toggle for the mute switch in iOS? And some option of adding it to the control panel?
My question is, I’m updating from the iPhone XS, is it worth updating to the 15 pro, or save the money and update to the 14 pro, given the fragility of the back and frame? He mentioned that it’s cheaper to replace, but why would I want to replace it if I can get the 14 and not have to worry about replacing it and save money.
I have the same doubt. I was thinking it was a good idea to update to 15 pro max but not so sure anymore. 14 pro max is cheaper now, apparently has better durability and has most of the functions I wanted, like dynamic island. I’m going to wait for the week long use reviews and then decide.
I just upgraded from my XS max to the 15 Pro Max 512gb, so needless to say, I’m a happy camper (or will be, still transferring from my old phone to the new).
This deep dive is one of the best on the Internet … @MaxTech I always wait for your reviews before jumping in…I was mainly concerned with the display dimming as i use my phone a lot outdoors & that issue continues from the 12 to the 13 & the 14; was really really hoping it would’ve been improved on the 15 but it still seems similar. Thanks so much for such an impressive comparison on the two top end and top selling variants of the iPhone !!! 😊
Wow I’ve watched many many many apple reviews over the years and this was by far the most unique and informative. Broken down very well and focused on aspect other than just the camera , well done ‼️🙌🏼
Thanks! Always love your complete reviews and comparisons. Just a heads up to everyone as far as the titanium goes. Yes it looks beautiful and is lighter, however it scratches more easily. ""Titanium has similar strength properties to stainless steel but weighs about 40% less, is non-magnetic, and is more heat-resistant. Its cold working expenses are significantly greater than those of stainless steel, and is also more prone to scratches." It's a softer metal.
I'm still on my iPhone X, so evidently I'm playing the long game. The only thing that peaks my interest is the action button and that my phone will no longer be supported...which means that my watch can't get updated.

Wait. The first 3nm cpu is more proof of concept than revolutionary. You’ll see a much more complete offering next year. The 13 pro max is still a very nice phone.
06:05 the quick-draw photo using the Action Button is literally what sold me the iPhone 15 Pro. I'm spending $1k on an "upgrade" I don't _need_ just to have a dedicated "open the camera and take a photo as quick as possible to not miss the moment" button. Am quite happy with my 13 Pro. But will give it to a family member who is still using an iPhone 8...
I carry two iPhones in the same network. The speed and signal strength is not constantly better in one that the other. You need to carry both phones with you for about a week to get a better control
Same. Got my wife the 15 pro max and although the action button is cool.. I’m completely dumbfounded that apple doesn’t allow you to customize it further. Very strange to me. To my it’s a no brainer to allow single presses for one thing, double for another, triple for something else.. and then maybe hold it for something else as well.
That most thing is hella slim and looks like it’ll never be a hassle to carry it around… if the hinge holds up over time it’s a no brainer as a MagSafe accessory
Great content guys, as always! Can't wait for the next review after a week. Just in a few hours of test you already discovered some aspect other reviewers didn't catch. All without having to emit a huge amount of CO2 by flying back and forth to Australia just to get the phone a few hours earlier.

@@aakashkaushal1167 They are taking about battery health, not battery life
14p battery much better on iOS 17 😁
I literally paused the video to order that tripod gizmo. Sick little thing!
Yes, it's AWESOME!
The 15 Pro should be called the 14 Pro S...
What about battery life? Also, is there finally a software option / toggle for the mute switch in iOS? And some option of adding it to the control panel?
Battery life is around an hour or more better according to mrwhosetheboss and other RUclipsrs.
I’ve been watching this channel for 1 year now. I only figured out there are 2 of you this week. I love all of your reviews, thank you guys.
Sharp edges are nicer I think , I never liked the whole iPhone X era with rounded edges that made it so,easy to drop too
Why no one is taking about battery life? All RUclipsrs say completely nothing about the batteries on iPhone 15. What is going on?
Nice review 🎉🎉🎉
LOL
You again
I'll keep the 14PM. It is a stronger, less fragile phone and the camera upgrade is marginal at best.
Ordered a 15pm this morning. Ready to be done with my 12pm and it’s degraded battery. Plus I love taking pictures and a better camera is welcome.
Imagine being excited to open the camera from a button. Welcome to 2016!
My question is, I’m updating from the iPhone XS, is it worth updating to the 15 pro, or save the money and update to the 14 pro, given the fragility of the back and frame? He mentioned that it’s cheaper to replace, but why would I want to replace it if I can get the 14 and not have to worry about replacing it and save money.
i have an XS as well and ofc it would be a flipping fantastic upgrade man
I have the same doubt. I was thinking it was a good idea to update to 15 pro max but not so sure anymore. 14 pro max is cheaper now, apparently has better durability and has most of the functions I wanted, like dynamic island. I’m going to wait for the week long use reviews and then decide.
Pls I would love an update when you purchase yours cause I’m sticker btw getting 14pm or 15pm
I just upgraded from my XS max to the 15 Pro Max 512gb, so needless to say, I’m a happy camper (or will be, still transferring from my old phone to the new).
A W upgrade! Congrats
I always look forward to your Mac / iPhone coverage. Thanks!
This is why I always wait 4 yrs to switch iPhones. I have been doing this since the first iPhone came out and the wait is well worth it.
You did all the stuff that no one does and that we want to see. Love the video keep it up!
the most thing that heats up the phone outdoors is the modem, so maybe it has improved?
From my Iphone 11 Pro, its definitely a HUGE upgrade lol I waited long enough and its rewarding!
This is THE VIDEO I was waiting for! Thank you!
Wow I’ve watched many many many apple reviews over the years and this was by far the most unique and informative. Broken down very well and focused on aspect other than just the camera , well done ‼️🙌🏼
Awesome review!!!
Its cold working expenses are significantly greater than those of stainless steel, and is also more prone to scratches." It's a softer metal.
yeah, i'll take durability over a slight difference in weight any day lol
could not the heat resistant property (of titanium) prevent cooling of battery, hence overheating internally, but you would not feel it in the hand?
Awesome video! Would u do an iPhone 15/plus vs iPhone 14 Pros? Feel like the base 15s is comparable to the 14 Pros. Would love to hear ur insights.
Very comprehensive and detailed review..👍
Great thorough and honest. Appreciated.
I'm still on my iPhone X, so evidently I'm playing the long game. The only thing that peaks my interest is the action button and that my phone will no longer be supported...which means that my watch can't get updated.
Please do more 5x street portraits. Pretty please.
The speakers are surprisingly loud.
This was a tough watch, because even tho I preordered on preorder day, my phone has been delayed until the 26 of October. Great video tho, nice one MaxTech.
Your reviews and comparison videos are top notch....
It would be nice to compare both at 48MP HEIF and RAW with the main câmera
Make a video about playing some heavy games and how does it perform
19:24 That was exactly what I was wondering: 15Pmax performance from 3x to 4.9x First review that does that, you guys are amazing 👌🏼☺️
They're not the first to show that at all. Danny Winget had a video showing it 3 days ago.
@@phero6933 I wasn't aware of him. Just watched his two latest videos. The 15Pmax seems a pretty solid choice. Thanks for the tip 👌🏼😊
Still got the 11 pro and I’m loving it
Nice report, by the way Im getting 489 Mbps download on my iPhone 13 on a 5GUW network, which is faster than your test on the 15 pro. I know there are network/location differences effecting the speed, but would be interested to know if the 15 pro is much faster than the 13... download speed matters to me for my use case
Nice review as always, just wanna ask what's the result of the antutu? We didn't get the numbers. Thanks
I love this channel. Thank you. 🙏🏽
I’m coming from a base iPhone 13 so this 15 pro will be a nice upgrade for me.
VERY curious to see the iPhone 14 Pro vs. Regular 15 video 👀
14 pro is much better and better screen no contest.
@@type2redDefinitely, but the average consumer won’t care about the refresh rate or the 3rd camera lens. It’s a fair question to ask.
Only place to get a proper review...thank you guys.
Been waiting for this!😀
@18:24 wow zoom is incredible best i've seen lol especially on the 15pro max you can really see how much GREATER the zoom is
Do you think it’s worth upgrading from a 12 pro max to the 15 pro max i usually upgrade every 3/4 Gens but i really like my 12 Just dont like the camera and or have glitchy keyboard problems but i genuinely really like the new design for the 15 just don’t know if its worth it or
i should wait for next gen
It‘s worth it. The 15 pro max is a beautiful piece of art. It‘s feels amazing in ur hand, compared to the 12 pro max.
@@EDIBre I’m torn between 15 pro max and 14 pro max changing from 12 pro max
Could you please do an IPhone 13 Pro Max comparison because I’m struggling if I should upgrade or wait for the 16 ultra coming next year
Wait. The first 3nm cpu is more proof of concept than revolutionary. You’ll see a much more complete offering next year. The 13 pro max is still a very nice phone.
My 12 Pro Max with new battery suits me just fine. They look identical at first glance.
I just bought a used 14 pro max. Saved $400 going with the older model
I personally love the heft of the 14 Pro Max,
I've been waiting for your review to this!!! ❤
This is the best review I’ve seen and way more meaningful to me! Thank you.
Eagerly waiting for iPhone 14 and 15 review.. " What reviewers won't tell us " .. the previous year 13 vs 14 was really helpful
i am picking up mines tomorrow.
I carry two iPhones in the same network. The speed and signal strength is not constantly better in one that the other. You need to carry both phones with you for about a week to get a better control
AS MANY PEOPLE ARE UPGRADING FROM THE 12 PRO CAN YOU MAKE A COMPARISON 15 PRO VS 12 PRO: SPEED TEST, LTE TEST, 5G TEST, GPU TEST
You said Muneeb I got so confused bcz I though I was the only Muneeb in the world! 😂 #muneeb
I miss your last minute Leaks video mate 😂👍💯
Aluminum have a higher thermal conductivity compare to Ti so playing games on iPhone 15 pro might be worse due to thermal throttle
Stainless is similar to titanium, pro to pro would be similar.
you right idk why I said aluminum I forgot Pro before 15 is Stainless steal @@jasonmajere2165
Thanks for telling us what reviews REFUSED to tell us!
Would be great if the action button has double tap and triple tap options as well. I'm guessing that'll be available in future iOS updates...
For your speaker comparison I think you should make sure to have cleaned out your older 14 pro first
I already mapped the action button to my Tesla’s fart mode. What a time to be alive!!!
Great content guys, as always! Can't wait for the next review after a week. Just in a few hours of test you already discovered some aspect other reviewers didn't catch. All without having to emit a huge amount of CO2 by flying back and forth to Australia just to get the phone a few hours earlier.
Please do a camera comparison between fold 5 and iPhone 15. I don't see many RUclipsr do this.
I have the 14 Pro max. So I guess I'll wait for the iphone 20 Ultra.
