I have the 14 pro max and have used it for cutaways and b cam shots for a year now. I've used it for everything, from bank commercials to hospitals and anything in-between. I absolutely love it and it has saved my butt on more than one occasion. But, ...this is what I've learned. You can only use the .5 or 1x lens and absolutely never use the sports mode or cinematic mood for anything. Sure, looking at it on the iPhone screen looks like a million bucks, but take my word for it, blow it up on a 27" i-mac screen while editing and you will see incredible amounts of garbage, gain and soft focus occur. The cinematic mode is almost comical how bad the faux depth of field looks. But as mentioned earlier stick with the .5 or 1x just using the auto stabilizer built into video mode and everything looks incredible, day and night difference. I look forward to getting the new 15 pro max for pro-res, which I'll ever never end up using.lol
I upgraded from the 14 pro max to the iPhone 15 pro max and it feels quicker, cell connectivity is better and if holding most of the day like me ,you do notice the weight is lighter especially with no case on it. not just the rounded edges actually makes it more vulnerable its also because the titanium is very hard and the glass is sensitive for the pressure, as well that they built the back of the phone differently the back glass has no metal against it as previous model did have for example.

I was an Android user and my first Iphone is 14PM from the expensive price tag and overheating issues my phone is only 10 months old and battery health is at 90% not a heavy user Kind of disappointed Never had this kind of problems with Samsung In the positive side with Iphones is that the software is more smooth refined Today was looking at Samsung S23 Ultra with a sweet discount $800 trading my 14PM People who know nothing they are just fans always attack people with real information
Im still and always will be android. Got a 22 ultra and still have my note 10+. I'm just lookin for a third phone because my wife talks about her apple phone and it's shitty but hey. Simple because the ecosystem is why I'm here
I don't know how to feel about phone upgrades. It seems like they're soon gonna destroy the professional cameras industry. It's kinda funny yet sad watching people rig up their iPhone 15's with cinema rigs realizing that that may be the future. But anyways, love the review Parker, like always, best content out there. Keep up the great work. I think you should do an iPhone 15 vs your Canon C70 video. Like this comment if you want that video out!
photography is about lens size and light. have you ever seen a big ass lens for example on sport ocassions in news? that cost 10 times of your iphone, and there is a reason. big lens, plenty of room for lights to come in. that is what photography about. not megapixel, and computer guessing whats the front of the camera. not to mention old manual gears before dslr. dude come on. phones can not make REAL pics. they can make a good guess what real pics are. but nothing more. buying any smartphone because of its camera "skills' still makes me laugh.
Can’t wait every year to see your review 🎉 nice review as always , I will keep me 13PM one more year ..I feel that it has all that I need ..13PM is a beast ❤❤❤
If you're coming from 12 series then it's a good reason to upgrade, if you're from 13 to 14 then there's not a need to upgrade since it's almost the same in performance in real life every day task to be honest
_You forgot to mention the purpose of using raw, which is predominantly for professional photographers, who do their own editing or color grading of their photos; The reason that the file and raw is so massive it’s because it’s filled with so much color and contrast data that can be manipulated to a color graders desire_ _11:23__ People that are not professionals when it comes to digital media art Contant, such as videography, professional, photography, cinematography, or color grading, should not invest in the pro models at all; it would be a waste of money for them, unless they plan on crafting the trade_
I upgraded from my iPhone 14 Pro to iPhone 15 Pro Max because I want a bigger phone with more long lasting battery life. And furthermore I really hate the mute switch. I prefer button. So I changed my phone….
Thank you for this video! Im tempted to upgrade from my 14 pro max to 15 pro max but I’m confused if it is worth it or not. Then your video popped out of nowhere haha thank you!
I’m just glad i didn’t trade my 14 pro max to the 15 pro max. They almost the same. I still prefered the lightning charging and the stainless steel frame. I just check the antutu of my 14 pro max this year and the score is 1.4million. The phone still very smooth and the battery is doing good.
Maybe it’s in my head but I really feel like I can feel the difference in the width of the phone. It feels much better in the hand smaller and much lighter. I love my 15 Pro Max. I know there aren’t many differences this year but I just live how it feels 😍
Watched a lot of videos on this phone and the white balance tip was new! Solid. Apple is going harder on the pro features! Seems like we don't need a separate app now. Digging the lighter weight and usbc on this phone mostly
My camera lens is scratched to crap because the protective lens broke. Apple quoted me at $500 as the whole back will need replaced at that point I was like screwit and and going to upgrade, plus my AirPods case is usb-c
I still rock the iPhone 6s. All I care about is battery life and maybe the screen when considering upgrading. I have a pro camera for photography and video so I'd rather spend the $1500 on camera gear or my computer rather then a telephone. LOL.
Shoot. I found a deal on a new iPhone 14 Pro and “upgraded” from my 13 pro. I honestly don’t really see the difference aside from getting used to Dynamic Island
Is it worth “upgrading” from an 8+ to a 15? I can make/receive phone calls/text messages/emails. I can even take photos, perhaps not as high a quality, but is that quality worth $1300+? If I want photos I’ll use my D850.
Trading in your phone would bring the cost down significantly. It’s definitely a leap in generations and you would be thoroughly surprised at the quality of life changes from the 8 to the 15. And if you keep good care of your phones, and don’t care to upgrade often, you wouldn’t need to upgrade for another 7+ years.
Im torn between the 14 pro max and 15 pro max. The 14 pro max is 20k cheaper than the latter, but I kinda want the better battery life and usb c on the 15 pro max. Is it worth the php20k(around $300-350) diff? (switching from Android btw)
Upgrading from a 14 Pro Max to a 15 Pro Max 🤡…….I’ll definitely pass. The difference isn’t big or ground-breaking enough in any shape, form or fashion. It never is in this case scenario.
Good review I prefer what I have. Not planning on upgrading anything soon. Can someone tell me why IPhone video recording don’t have the option to pause a vid the resume where you left off..? Maybe then I’ll upgrade. 🤦🏽♀️
I’m looking to go from a regular 13 to a 14 or 15 pro max. I’m looking to make my phone my main camera until I can get a Digital camera. Would you advise an upgrade to the 14 or 15? 👀
I had for 2 years Xiaomi 10 note pro, and wanted to upgrade to flagship Device. I dont know what to choose, i always loves the bigger phones. 15 pro max ,14 pro max, Google pixel 8 pro or Samsung +. What should i get?
Somehow i decided to switch from S23U to i14 pro max. The overall user experience felt more balanced. The most noticeable “downgrade” is battery life and the camera. The camera on iPhone is so terrible. And now that we know i15 is not much better. Apple really needs to get their shit together.
Hi. Thanks for the video. You said 48mp shots don't save the depth data, why is that? Did you just mean for jpeg but it saves it for raw? I've got the iPhone 13. Would you recommend me upgrading to 14 pro max or 15 pro max?
Thanks for your honest and informative presentation. I was on the fence about an up grade from the 14 pro max to the 15 pro max. Besides , I haven’t quite mastered the 14 pro max iteration of the I Phone. The learning curve is a constant !
100% iPhone 15 Pro Max is NOT “Stronger”…… sadly…. Glad to have my 💜 14 Pro Max. I’ll be keeping this until 18/19/20. They get released in Trilogy’s, *New Name* 11(11 Pro), [12(12 Pro) *new build*, 13(13 Pro), 14(14 Pro) *new Di build*], the 15’s GOT (Dynamic island), this is the NEW Era of Basic iPhone For the MASSES.
Upgraded from a 13 Pro to the 15 Pro (solely because of great trade in value for the 13 Pro). The 15 Pro is slightly wider which takes a day or two to get used to. The Action Button is a great addition and I use it to quickly switch to the camera. Quality of life improvements throughout, the 120Hz is surprisingly smoother and that can be attributed to the improved and noticeable speed of apps opening and the improved RAM management. The camera is noticeably better with the 48MP camera, 24MP shots are more detailed, the addition of 1.2x, 1.5x, HEIF 48MP, ProRaw 48MP, auto portraits on live photos, ProRes 4K 60fps for external drives. USB-C braided cable (although the speed is the same USB 2.0). The 15 Pro is noticeably lighter as well. I haven't really done much with the Dynamic Island, it seems gimmicky but I hope to make good use of it soon. I haven't encountered any heat issues, honestly that issue has been overblown, games, icloud background processes and extensive video recording always heated up iPhones. The heat for that is worth a mention but not the overblown excessive media coverage that happened as soon as Apple sent review units. Of course I have a solid Lamicall phone case on the phone, I use phone cases as standard but with the titanium shell scratching easily and the back of the phone being more fragile, a case is mandatory.
@@MissionControlTetBoth phones have similar battery life. The 15 Pro is slightly better but I received my unit on Tuesday and only charged it twice, with usage I expect it to last a similar time as the 13 Pro. 6 to 7 hours in my experience before needing a charge, but note that I maintain charge between 20 and 80%, less time using the phone before charging but the battery health lasting longer . For reference my 13 Pro has 97% battery health after two years of daily driver use, apparently some units had bigger batteries than the stated capacity and it looks like I received a 13 Pro unit two years ago with a bigger battery . If it helps, it takes 40 minutes to charge the 15 Pro from 20 to 80% using the 20W charger, which is similar to the 13 Pro. The 13 Pro started at that time period and now it takes 47 minutes to do the same with the same 20W charger.
I am still sitting with a 6s lol, I do a lot of video and large files. I would like to know in your opinion should I just jump to the 15 pro max because i won't notice the difference from the 14. Or should I get a 14 pro Max. hummmm
I’m not the type of person that needs a new iphone every year … I’m totally fine with my iPhone 14 Pro Max the upgrades every year with Apple are so minimal it’s not even really worth it in my opinion for my self . I’ll be fine with this phone for the next three to four years . And then hopefully there’s a huge leap forward by that time. And if not, then I’ll just stay with this phone. I’m fine with that as long as I can.
It’s not even just the rounded edges that’s makes the 15 pro susceptible to breaking. And the from screen is still pretty strong based on the drop test videos. The back is more likely to break because they mad the back easier to remove so it cheaper to repair. So there’s a trade off there. Also drop test videos aren’t realistic. Like who’s gonna bend their phone with that much force or drop a phone from that high. Seriously?? And who’s gonna drop their phone multiple times in a row consecutively that’ll weaken the frame quicker. To be fair the claims being made about the fragility of the phone is just nonsense.
Idk about anyone else but from a 12 Pro Max to a 15 Pro Max I notice how thin the bezels are every time I pick it up. It feels like I’m just holding a bezel-less display with floating content
Thank you sir , this is the best is it worth upgrading video hopefully you’ll make a new video in a few months to see if it’s worth upgrading to the 16 pro max
iPhone 15 Pro Max is a little lighter, easier to hold in the hand, is more grippy - guess most of the changes are external (for the most part in my opinion) and yes I am aware of all the internal changes :)
The durability issue is probably caused by Apple using a new building style for back plate. It makes the phone more repairable, but less durable. You can even test yourself, if you have a 15 pro and 14/13/12 pro, gently knock on the back glass. 15 pro makes a more of a hollow noise.

Simple because the ecosystem is why I'm here
@@RAGEdredd So you have an iphone?
I don't know how to feel about phone upgrades. It seems like they're soon gonna destroy the professional cameras industry. It's kinda funny yet sad watching people rig up their iPhone 15's with cinema rigs realizing that that may be the future. But anyways, love the review Parker, like always, best content out there. Keep up the great work. I think you should do an iPhone 15 vs your Canon C70 video. Like this comment if you want that video out!
I can't think of any professional that will ditch their gear for iPhone only.
@@Turbojugend27 yea but 6 years from now that just might be the case
photography is about lens size and light. have you ever seen a big ass lens for example on sport ocassions in news? that cost 10 times of your iphone, and there is a reason. big lens, plenty of room for lights to come in. that is what photography about. not megapixel, and computer guessing whats the front of the camera. not to mention old manual gears before dslr. dude come on. phones can not make REAL pics. they can make a good guess what real pics are. but nothing more. buying any smartphone because of its camera "skills' still makes me laugh.
I don’t quite understand, the iPhone 15 pro has only the outer frame made of titanium?? And the bezel for the camera? Isn’t it also made of titanium 🤔
Can someone help me😭 I'm torn between 14 pro max and 15 pro max. Which is better overall? like long lasting battery and such pls
14!!
Let me ask you this then should people upgrade to the 15 if they have the iPhone 14 Pro Max
Definitely NO
Can’t wait every year to see your review 🎉 nice review as always , I will keep me 13PM one more year ..I feel that it has all that I need ..13PM is a beast ❤❤❤
So you’re getting the 16 pro max then?
You're doing better dude, this what i want for the review, thanks man 🤝
If you're coming from 12 series then it's a good reason to upgrade, if you're from 13 to 14 then there's not a need to upgrade since it's almost the same in performance in real life every day task to be honest
_You forgot to mention the purpose of using raw, which is predominantly for professional photographers, who do their own editing or color grading of their photos; The reason that the file and raw is so massive it’s because it’s filled with so much color and contrast data that can be manipulated to a color graders desire_
_11:23__ People that are not professionals when it comes to digital media art Contant, such as videography, professional, photography, cinematography, or color grading, should not invest in the pro models at all; it would be a waste of money for them, unless they plan on crafting the trade_
Buddy i am using iphone xs max , planning to migrate 14 pro max or 15 pro max, what is your suggestion
never see any huge result than this channel. thanks brother
I was literally waiting for this iphone review. It's about time man 🤝
Thanks for your unbiased opinion. Very thorough and spot on!
I upgraded from my iPhone 14 Pro to iPhone 15 Pro Max because I want a bigger phone with more long lasting battery life. And furthermore I really hate the mute switch. I prefer button. So I changed my phone….
How’re you liking the switch? I have a 14 Pro and deciding to do the same
@@MatthewVlossak Yup the button is very good better than the switch….
I’m looking forward to the 5X camera coming to the standard size 16 Pro next year
If my 13PM had a type c,i’d keep replacing its batteries each two years. This phone is a beast.
I have the 12 pro max, should I get the 14 pro max or 15 pro max?🤔
Omggg me too!!! Much lighter!!!! And comfortable!!! Not to mention ..it looks amazing my natural titanium
Watched a lot of videos on this phone and the white balance tip was new! Solid. Apple is going harder on the pro features! Seems like we don't need a separate app now. Digging the lighter weight and usbc on this phone mostly
I have an iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 12. Was waiting for Apple to make a new version with round edges. But I guess it won’t happen 😬
My camera lens is scratched to crap because the protective lens broke. Apple quoted me at $500 as the whole back will need replaced at that point I was like screwit and and going to upgrade, plus my AirPods case is usb-c
Excellent review sir. Answered my questions will be holding on to my 14 pro max for now.
I still rock the iPhone 6s. All I care about is battery life and maybe the screen when considering upgrading. I have a pro camera for photography and video so I'd rather spend the $1500 on camera gear or my computer rather then a telephone. LOL.
Then don’t watch 😂
Superb review. Some very specific use cases that I didn't find elsewhere.
i have an iphone se 1st gen, do yall think i should upgrade to the 15 or wait another year?
Maybe ive not been paying attention, but thanks for mentioning that 48MP RAW does not capture dpth of f...
just 360p resolution????
Let it process first
At least you are the only one saying the truth about iPhone 15. Most RUclipsrs are hyping the iPhone 15 series
So are most users. People like to justify their purchases. I call it the placebo effect.
Very good video content. Stayed straight with the facts and did not extra marketing.
Im torn between the 14 pro max and 15 pro max. The 14 pro max is 20k cheaper than the latter, but I kinda want the better battery life and usb c on the 15 pro max. Is it worth the php20k(around $300-350) diff? (switching from Android btw)
@Fuwiejdbxjdsksk364 yea ill probably get the 15 pm since i only upgrade at least every 4 years
Just got mine pro blue titanium. I am upgrading from 12 Mini and i am verry verry happy about everything
Filmic Pro has Log
How does the 15 pro Log compare to filmic pro? (on the older models)
I also want to know the answer to this.
Great Review, Parker.... as always
The upgrade was big in terms of SoC, the gpu had a big upgrade and the cpu have a big enough one with also better power consumption.
damn, i have a Samsung S10, i was planning on upgrading my phone to an iphone 15 this year but it seems that it sucks. why pay over 1k for it?
Man…..I’m upgrading from the 12Pro Max to the 15 Pro Max….i had forgotten about the 48mp 🤣🤣🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Can you use the same phone case for 14 pro max and 15 pro max?
I’m looking to go from a regular 13 to a 14 or 15 pro max. I’m looking to make my phone my main camera until I can get a Digital camera. Would you advise an upgrade to the 14 or 15? 👀
I had for 2 years Xiaomi 10 note pro, and wanted to upgrade to flagship Device. I dont know what to choose, i always loves the bigger phones.
15 pro max ,14 pro max, Google pixel 8 pro or Samsung +. What should i get?
Seem not that convenient to go to settings then find the right camera sub menu. Why???
Somehow i decided to switch from S23U to i14 pro max. The overall user experience felt more balanced. The most noticeable “downgrade” is battery life and the camera. The camera on iPhone is so terrible.
And now that we know i15 is not much better. Apple really needs to get their shit together.
*I will keep my 14 Pro Max for 3 years 🫶🏽*
Hi. Thanks for the video. You said 48mp shots don't save the depth data, why is that? Did you just mean for jpeg but it saves it for raw?
I've got the iPhone 13. Would you recommend me upgrading to 14 pro max or 15 pro max?
upgrade to ip 15 pro max and use the HEIF instead for minimal storage input yet same photo quality as pro raw
Thanks for your honest and informative presentation. I was on the fence about an up grade from the 14 pro max to the 15 pro max. Besides , I haven’t quite mastered the 14 pro max iteration of the I Phone. The learning curve is a constant !
It’ll be a bit before iPhones are being used professionally for video
Thank you for your review. You helped me with switching from android to iPhone. I will be purchasing the iPhone Pro 15 Max.
100% iPhone 15 Pro Max is NOT “Stronger”…… sadly…. Glad to have my 💜 14 Pro Max. I’ll be keeping this until 18/19/20.
They get released in Trilogy’s,
*New Name* 11(11 Pro),
[12(12 Pro) *new build*, 13(13 Pro), 14(14 Pro) *new Di build*], the 15’s GOT (Dynamic island), this is the NEW Era of Basic iPhone For the MASSES.
I have the 13 pm want to give it to my daughter and I’m seriously thinking of getting the 14 pm instead of the 15pm
So you are very happy w 14 pro max? I’m thinking bout getting it
@@billystalk very happy. Was on a 12. I have 120h & great battery great display. Pretty Great.
Which one has better battery life? By how much?
@@MissionControlTetBoth phones have similar battery life. The 15 Pro is slightly better but I received my unit on Tuesday and only charged it twice, with usage I expect it to last a similar time as the 13 Pro. 6 to 7 hours in my experience before needing a charge, but note that I maintain charge between 20 and 80%, less time using the phone before charging but the battery health lasting longer
. For reference my 13 Pro has 97% battery health after two years of daily driver use, apparently some units had bigger batteries than the stated capacity and it looks like I received a 13 Pro unit two years ago with a bigger battery
. If it helps, it takes 40 minutes to charge the 15 Pro from 20 to 80% using the 20W charger, which is similar to the 13 Pro. The 13 Pro started at that time period and now it takes 47 minutes to do the same with the same 20W charger.
Which country version phone u are using

I just sold my 11 pro max&looking for something new, would you reccomend the 15 pro? Even with all the drama and overheating issues?
I have an XR from 2018? Worth the upgrade?
The new IPhone 15 Pro Max is great. Looking forward to get mine soon, although I have my iPhone 14 Pro Max
Thanks again! You answered all my questions!
Guys i am gonna be upgrading from a midrange andriod phone what do you think i should upgrade to
Iphone 15 PM or Iphone 14 PM??
Mehh, this ain't it for me. I'll wait till next year and use my 12 Pro in the meantime.
Always the best unbiased reviews from ya, Parker!
I am still sitting with a 6s lol, I do a lot of video and large files. I would like to know in your opinion should I just jump to the 15 pro max because i won't notice the difference from the 14. Or should I get a 14 pro Max. hummmm
Great video and very informative 🌟
after seeing a lot of somewhat negative reviews on the iPhone 15 pro max the worse I feel after upgrading, even tho I’m upgrading from an 8 plus
I’m actually thinking of getting the 14 pm instead if I can get a good deal on one
@@CraigC-h6bwould be a good choice considering the 15 pm is having some issues as seen in other reviews
@@CraigC-h6bme too
I’m not the type of person that needs a new iphone every year … I’m totally fine with my iPhone 14 Pro Max the upgrades every year with Apple are so minimal it’s not even really worth it in my opinion for my self . I’ll be fine with this phone for the next three to four years . And then hopefully there’s a huge leap forward by that time. And if not, then I’ll just stay with this phone. I’m fine with that as long as I can.
Muy objetivo. No suena a propaganda como otros canales. Excelente información.
gracias amigo por el apoyo!
I got the iphone pro max 15 for the spatial camera so i can play on the vision pro VR when it comes out.
So you can’t shoot regular videos directly to an external storage drive? Only prores?
Yes, that's right.
This is the route Apple is going I think we are so use to the big heavy phone so it will take some getting use to, I’m just not ready yet, 😅
@@CraigC-h6b I mean not really, my 15 Pro Max is almost 10% lighter than my old 12 Pro Max so rhetorical weight reduction has been really nice too
Thank you sir , this is the best is it worth upgrading video hopefully you’ll make a new video in a few months to see if it’s worth upgrading to the 16 pro max
iPhone 15 Pro Max is a little lighter, easier to hold in the hand, is more grippy - guess most of the changes are external (for the most part in my opinion) and yes I am aware of all the internal changes :)
To order those rhino cases is it a must to add a design?
The durability issue is probably caused by Apple using a new building style for back plate. It makes the phone more repairable, but less durable. You can even test yourself, if you have a 15 pro and 14/13/12 pro, gently knock on the back glass. 15 pro makes a more of a hollow noise.
Excellent video! Good training!!
Wow... Can't believe youre shooting video with iphone 15 pro.. it looks really goo
Love your little one's hairstyle 🥰 Anyways I think I'm sticking to my 13 pro max for another year... still runs smooth
The External Recording is a super tip🙏🙏👏
