Xabi alonso the real masterclass of breaking Bayern's Bundesliga Streak
wrong, bayern are still champions, even if it's leverkussen
But also proved Bundesliga is not just farmers league.
They were good but Bayern weren't at their best
@@adb_500 see we knew bayern will not be invincibles forever..its just that we expected dortmund or liepzig to end their dominanace..but unexpectedly it was bayer leverkusen
@@jsn14honestly leipzig and dortmund already proved it many times it's not farmers league
Btw Heidenheim put the final nail on Bayern's coffin by pulling a comeback against them thus putting Leverkusen in the position to clinch it against bremen
Heidenheim is just strong at home. They play a season like union berlin in there first year in 1 buli

prem fans always say Italy France Germany are “farmers leagues” but they allowed city to win 7 out of the last 8 league titles and even break 100 points yet the league is the best in the world..
Exact bro they don't know how many international trophies France, Germany and Italy wo- oh wait, they really don't want to, because that will shut them down LMAO
Depends on what youre farming for. Sure, if its big talent, players will most often be transfered for a big sum and leave the bundesliga as long as it isnt bayern. This grants more attention and brings in more money because more people are interested in spending money for your product. That doesnt really matter in terms of competitiveness because the bundesliga prefers having balanced squads with a matching coach instead of building your team around star players who you expect to make an impact that decides a game. Their best clubs still compete and perform on the highest level of international competition. But you could argue that one way they achieve that is by growing crops they sell for a high price without losing profit to an investor that wants their share. For Dortmund and recently Frankfurt, selling players like Muani, Bellingham, Dembele, Aubameyang, Sancho etc. after only a few seasons to the pl or real, barca, psg is a big part of financing their own squad. So yes, the bundesliga is very strong competitor, and still, if its a big foreign talent, big clubs will show up with a lot of money and youre not able to convince the players and yourself that they should stay. It feels like its mostly native talents, like Wirtz f.e. that choose to play in the bundesliga for at least a while. And Bayern who earned themselves the merit that other big international clubs have. And are also able to pay comparable wages with over 10+ a year.
Its the richest but not the best the best is arguably la liga or even bundesliga if anything i think thise two with the prem are on a similar level
Also, Kaiserslautern reaching the DFB Pokal final while struggling to survive the relegation battle in 2nd division
Kaiserslautern used to win Bundesliga after they got promoted in a season 😅
Heidenheim & Vfb Stuttgart should get more appreciation they rose from bottom in a year like what Leverkusen did.
Stuttgart now aims at 2nd position from 17th a year back
We could even talk about how freaking AUGSBURG out of nowhere is playing for a european spot next season.
Their best Bundesliga season since joining the topflight
True! Flying under the radar
Augsburg have been insane ! Bottom 3 in October, sacked Enrico Maßen, and it’s gone probably better than any Augsburg fan expected, with Thurop
@@espben360 I like enrico maaßen, but mainly because he was the coach of the regional league team I am rooting for for quite some time and even brought them to the regional league to begin with - drochtersen Assel. tbh didn't follow much of his career after that except for noticing that he got to be headcoach for a bundesliga team in augsburg.
Tbh. Anything from 6th to bottom isnt really performing good this season. Frankfurt has a 1 goal positive goaldifference, every other club below is negative. Theres a very big gap between 1-5 and 6-18. Wolfsburg was fighting to avoid relegation when this short was posted, now they have a chance to play conference league next season. I think that is a big reason why Augsburg or Heidenheim seem to be so sucessful. They play good seasons, considering what their goals are but in an average bundesliga season, they would be 12th and 13th and not 9th and 10th with how many points they earned.
Frank Schmidt coached Heidenheim from 3rd division to Bundesliga and possibly European football, what a legend 🫡 He's only a replacement manager at the first place as well 👏
But let's also not forget the fall of Union Berlin 😓

Can't recall Bundeliga being called a Farmers League during the 33 years i've been alive, constantly been within the four leagues and just had some seasons ahead of Serie A. Anyone viewing any top four leagues as a farmers league know nothing of football.
Many online “football fans” (who coincidentally only watch the prem and rm/barca) think any league they don’t watch is a poor “farmer’s league”
It’s a sad sight to see
I absolutely agree. It’s just I hear casuals always refer to the bundesliga/ligue 1 as a “farmers league”.
i always argued its not because they perform and compete on the highest international level. But for any other club than bayern its also a fact, that their main income to build a squad comes from selling players. But since the skill gap between 100m and 30m isnt as big as the number difference they often manage to make up for the loss of certain players. The squad balance and coaching is much more important and because they dont lose multiple players each season, it kind of works out. Its sort of symbiotic. The PL, Real, Barca, PSG can sell out their new big star and the bundesliga clubs use the money to build competitive squads and stay financially stable without losing money to an investor. It also keeps ticket prices and cost for private tv relatively low.
Where have you been then? Bayern winning the league 11 years in a row makes it a farmers league imo
@@ultraomenmurat9937 So how many more titles do City need to win for EPL to be a farmers league? 4 is already domination.
Stuttgart are so underrated, amazing players all over the field, Mittelstadt, Millot, Stiller, Furich, Undav, Guirassy, and these are just some up the top of my head
Lets for Heidenheim. Mostly the second year is the more difficulty for Clubs.
This has been one of the best leagues for a while now. More people are just now learning about it.

You forgot about Saarbrücken, they’re in the 3rd league and beat Bayern Munich, Frankfurt and Monchengladbach to advance to German Cup Semi final where they lost to a league 2 team somehow after all that. They also did all that while being a mid table team as well. They finished 5th in the league

Still sad that Heidenheim just missed out on Europe by 1 point
I’m really liking that old school Parma jersey
Best league in the world for me. ❤ it
Union Berin did the same as Heidenheim and had already shocked some bigger European clubs and even nearly won against Real Madrid...
Heidenheim has the same coach since 2007. He coached the club through all leagues into bundesliga.
Third league club Saarbrücken made it into the semifinals of german national cup, after kicking out Frankfurt, Bayern Munich and Mönchengladbach. Yes, this season is crazy, and i love it.
I feel like the championship has been the most exciting, how many times has their been 4 teams fighting for 2 straight promotions. Southampton went from behind the others to now being a game off Leeds with a game in hand. With the Leeds Ipswich and Leicester losing important games who knows who will go up with 1 of them missing our and just a loss could ruin their place in the automatic promotion spots crazy stuff.

This season really was a relief for the league itself .
Do not sleep on the Serie A teams, the best teams in the league this year Will cause problems in CL
Dont forget Bayern and Dortmund are in the Champions League semi final and Leverkusen are in the europa League semi final
I think people are overlooking Stuttgart a lot
But don't forget the Story of Holstein Kiel, which might win the second division and want to become the team from Schleswig-Holstein to go into the Bundesliga.
Bundesliga for these past few years have been exciting af
The bundesliga is cooking !!!❤❤
There are 3 German clubs in Champions' and Europa League semifinals. There is one English club in Conference semifinal
I remember Ibrahimovic for Barcelona scoring against Stuttgart. I assume this was on 2009/2010. So I don't think it was 17 years ago
And 1 (maybe 2 soon) bundesliga teams in the semi finals of ucl, and bayer leverkusen currently leading their leg in europa league!
Me expecting the eredivisie where Ajax are sixth and a couple of 10th place clubs are now able to qualify for europian football
If the UCL final is Bayern vs Dortmund the teams in the prem should start growing some crops
"Farmers league" and Dortmund are in champions league final.
Not to forget Bayern and Dortmund reached SEMI FINALS in CL and no Premier League Club could achieve this

Sad thing is that this are the exceptions , not the rule. Just like Leichester
As a German, I have never much resented the term farmer's league much, contrary to the condescension that sometimes comes from those who use the term. The term is more about money than quality and by that metric, Germany is very much a farmer's league. Apart from Bayern, there is no other Bundesliga club that has the financial power to just go pick and pluck high-profile players from other clubs (all-time most expensive non-Bayern Bundesliga transfer was Dortmund with EUR 35 million). In the UK, there are a bunch of clubs that will easily spend 50 million on a player they rate highly and thus, the Bundesliga is farmed every year, so the term is accurate.
Anyone who says Farmer's league clearly has no idea how you have be to play at National League level, let alone higher.
Everyone with zero football knowledge will always be shocked by bundesliga
From Neverkusen to Neverloosen
Minor correction here: Stuttgart's last champions League campaign was in 2009-10, 15 years ago, not 17
Not to mention the amount of German teams in the semis
What's more shocking is that Bundesliga turns fairy tales during a season where Bundesliga tried to sell their broadcasting rights 😮 and breaking 50+1 rule.
In Belgium there is another Neverkusen forming: for the last 3 years they seemed invincible only for them to bottle every time (USG)
