I've wanted this compressor for years after being introduced to it via the plugin versions (both UAD and Waves). Just finally got it today and it's so awesome, with such a useful feature set. That "API Punch" people talk about is so real, especially on drums. Killer on guitar too, and of course the 2-bus! Thanks for sharing this video walkthrough, now I'm off to the races. Cheers!
It’s one of my absolute favorite compressors in the studio. You should also try it on a mix bus. It’s magical with the right settings.

Correct for parallel compression
Hey all experiencing a issue with my Api 2500 & was wondering if someone has experienced this and might have a solution. No matter how much I compress or tweak the parameters on the unit, the red LED light above the threshold does not flash Red. Is there any fix to this? Thanks in advance

unit is too far away from camera while things are being explained especially the more right you go. can't see what you are talking about exactly without referring to a close up picture
The audio levels of your video are really low
Is it sonically the same as the api 2500
Correct just the mix knob is the main difference for parallel compression
