  • This is an instructive movie about strategy, fishing technique and tackle under different conditions. Experiences and knowledge that can be used where ever in the world you fish for Atlantic Salmon.
    Once again we join Nils Jørgensen in Iceland, but late in the season, where the salmon have migrated far up the rivers.
    Late season requires a different set of eyes on the river.
    Nils Jørgensen will share his knowledge on where to find the salmon, flies, tackle and fishing techniques.
    All the time, adapting technique, tackle and choice of fly to the exact conditions and situation facing you is important. And Nils Jorgensen is a master at this.
    The camera will follow Nils on a number of fishing trips, where he tells about his fishing, and we join him up close in dramatic fights with big salmon.

      Fantastic rivers and salmons, but unfortunately most of them are quite expensive. Anyway, go for it :-)

    Why does no one carry a net? Could land half those fish in half the time with half the stress/damage to thr fish.

      You are right. When fishing alone along long stretches of the river, a large net is cumbersome to carry. Fishing guides in Iceland carry nets.
      Tight lines from the camera man 😊

      @@WideOpenOutdoorFilm I did and didnt see a single big salmon, i saw one 12-13 kilo but not s single 15 kilo + and def not a 20 kilo +. Now i live by the Gaula and we have a 2 km beat so i am a bit biased tho with a personal best of 132 cm and 24 kilo by chart so i have high demands when youtubers mention dramatic fights with big salmon.

    Terrible fish handling. That salmon must be nearly dead by the time it was measured and handled.

      They haven heard about a net in Iceland i guess wich would make sure a lot more fish survived.

      and the treble was still in its mouth while taking photos, i'm glad in the uk we're moving away from trebles, i watch a lot of norwegian videos and they are brutal, they drag the fish onto the stones a lot, one older guy killed a fish of 30lb by cutting its gills with a knife and just left it to bleed to death, never even had the decency to chap the poor thing first

    • @MrKveite1
      @MrKveite1 2 года назад +1

      @@johngraham5996 Yep, lots of various bad fish handling here in Norway for sure but there are also people from all over the world with various experience. We have some uk tourists too that are really bad even if bragging about fishing in scotland for 30 years and i guarantee no ghillie in Scotland taught them that kind of behaviour.
