I can't believe I just found your channel today!! Incredible! And "I'm Gone"... I don't remember this great tune. I think I've found a treasure finding this channel. And good to see you get full credit for all your own stuff.
If that time travel machine was available right now, I'd hop in and journey back to 2007 Amsterdam and of course want to have a date or take you out coffee walk around the van Gogh museum… Unfortunately that machine is hidden from us but I believe it exists wishing you well Shawn in life today in the now present future moment -
Such uncomplicated song perfection en pointe, and that voice - there is no one quite like Shawn, Joni comes close, and Chapin - but Shawn, like Nick Drake, has something else.
I can't really claim to be a fan, but this is nice. Her live performance feels so personal and intimate -- and her voice is even prettier than her albums.
One of the most magical concert experiences I've ever experienced was when you performed at a fair in California many many years ago when A Few Small repairs just was released. Shockingly, the entire enormous concert space was empty, except for a few people. My friend accompanied me and we both had the best seats in theater, front row and center. Even though for you, it must have been extremely depressing and disappointing to see the shocking lack of people, I can say that you gave me the most incredible concert experiences I've ever been at. I felt you were playing to just me; it was so incredibly intimate and special. I love your music and this was a great gift. I'll never ever forget it. I'm forever your fan.
What a delight you are Shawn. Your songwriting is so strong and your performance seems effortless. Saw you with John Leventhal and we chatted a few times on Little West 12th st NYC and that's me Wooping it up in the Bottom Line 1993 live recording. So appreciate you. Maybe you can do gig on Maui? I'll promote you here.
Shawn, I’ve seen you at a couple of Australian shows, the most memorable was at Melbourne’s iconic Continental Café (now sadly gone), where Crowded House’s Nick Seymour was at the table next to us, with other musos. Shawn, you’re certainly a ‘musician’s musician’ As you haven’t been to our shores for a while, I’m hoping to catch a concert (anywhere) in the U.S. when I visit in September. Fingers crossed you have a gig between 24 Sep and 1 Oct 😃
as far as I remember we saw you at the Luxor (or was it called Prime Club at the time?) in Cologne around this time. It was the first time we enjoyed a solo performance of yours. Before, we saw you at the Stadtgarten twice together with Larry Klein and Steuart Smith, and once at the Alter Wartesaal with full band including John Leventhal. Different set-ups, all extremly enjoyable. Not to forget your appearance at the Cambridge Folk Festival.
Thanks for posting this. Is it possible that I saw you once in Geneva, Switzerland ? Short appearance at a festival ( Festival de l'espoir ) with a french rocker called Little Bob. I think it was you, but that was years ago , early 2000's ? ❤

Thank you, Shawn, for your beautiful music this morning! You made my day
I saw you in concert with M C Carpenter in West Palm Beach last week. Your lyrics, voice, and guitar magic blew me away. Best concert ever! Thank you.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Love you. Your music means so much to me.
To me as well! She was pivotal in my growth as a songwriter. I tell everyone to see Shaun Colvin live, no better show.🤟😎🎵🎶

Love to see John and Shawn reunited... This collab resulted in my absolute favorite music ... And Jimmy is my absolute favorite of all my Shawn faves.
