  • Whether you love or hate Spam, there is no denying that it’s a versatile food item that you can do a lot with. If you ever need to spruce up your fried rice, just add some Spam, and you’ve got yourself a hearty and carb-filled meal.
You can even melt it with your favorite cheese in a quesadilla or roll it up into sushi, if you are not a fan of fish. This canned meat has been making it into households since the 1930s, and it will not slow down anytime soon.
However, there is actually more to Spam than you know about. It has quite the history, so let's take a look at what you should know about Spam.

we do know what spam means the word 'Spam' is a portmanteau of “spiced ham”, though the product was originally known as Hormel Spiced Ham. It was changed to Spam in 1937 based on the contest-winning suggestion of of Kenneth Daigneau, a New York actor (and brother of a Hormel executive) who pocketed $100 for his winning entry

Spam also helped Guam during and post wartime. The marines who liberated us gave us the spam to feed the people who were starving. Just like Hawaii it grew to be a big part of our food culture. You can see many similarities in recipes between us and Hawaii as well our own unique dishes. With all that said the number one recipe any islander can agree is the best is most definitely spam musubi. Every mom and pop selling it, as well as gas stations as well as local restaurants, and including the food giant McDonald’s offering it as a breakfast item. You can go into any home and certainly find a can or 2. From its affordability, long shelf life, and historic value it has on our island, it’s no wonder guam being a tiny island having hold the record as the number 1 consumer of spam hahaha

Spam is a favorite food of Hawaiians many got hooked on it since WW2 when food was a bit scarce. It has found its way into many of the different cuisines on the Islands. I like it for its convenience and its salty taste and ham like texture that pairs perfectly in a Frittata with onions eggs potatoes and green peppers for Sunday morning breakfast or a Late Supper. It's also a good camping staple needing no refrigeration until its open. It is quite reasonable in price and one can serve 4 as an accompaniment to eggs home fries and toast. I always have a can in the pantry for a quick meal. Enjoy.

I don't really think you threw up over a comment, I know it was all a joke.
I just saw your other negative comment, something like "quick answer: throw it out" or something, and thought you were being cynical. And then it seemed like you were trying to act a little tough with the beer and viking thing. Two comments kind of about superiority, joking or not. Kind of annoying, no? So I thought I'd be a little brash.
