  • I am never sure as to why folks do this at my table. It is a reoccurring pattern where it feels like they are purposely attracting my attention to engage but then immediately share that they are sensitive to scent in a grandiose way. Mary all my products are VERY obviously scented. What are we doing right now?

People sometimes dump like that because they’ve made their health issue part of their identity, and it’s basically a way of talking about themselves.
I have scent issues, but I generally avoid tables with scent’s because of that and awkwardly apologize for my issue as I walk by, unless I guilt myself into buying something for someone else, usually a candle (which the recipient usually likes).
It sucks because some scents are amazing, but my eyes beg to differ.
If you figure out how to bottle the scent of slightly wetted rocks or a freshly watered greenhouse, I’ll buy that! I love me some petrichor!
