I’m getting pretty obsessed with hollyhocks. I’m trying to grow some via seeds. I’ve got a black hollyhock growing in the greenhouse for seed. Beautiful plant. Love your content especially hollyhocks!

Should you use seeds from a plant that had a rust infection?

They will be fine the rust is not transmitted through the seeds to the plant as far a we are aware . I
Although your question had given me a good idea 💡 . Maybe we should selectively collect seed from plants that are less susceptible to rust in the future.

I planted tons of hollyhocks and they all got destroyed by rust before I could I get to it. Are similar plants like lupine and delphinium as easily susceptible to stuff like this or is this a uniquely hollyhock thing
