  • “I enlisted in the military because of 9/11 and served in Special Forces. Deploying to Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Pacific Theater of Operations, I was mentored by some of the most elite American warfighters, intelligence operatives, and foreign commandos.
    From my first day on a team, until I left the military in 2013, I constantly learned new skills as both a trigger puller and more importantly a teacher. Regardless of the mission, proper application of the fundamentals combined with the ability to immediately adapt was critical to success. This was true whether serving as the primary jumpmaster for a high altitude free fall jump, or leading militia fighters on a combat patrol. I take these lessons learned and apply them to my training courses at Guerrilla Approach.
    Combat marksmanship is so much more than shooting in kit, and tactical training conducted improperly actually sets students up for failure. I help shooters breakthrough training plateaus and more importantly, challenge them to think through problems and their broader applicability to the real world”. - Aaron Barruga

    I'd have no hesitation training under this guy. He's authentic, humble and clearly intelligent. I like his philosophy of simple tactics that are executed, minus the flash.

    Respect to this guy. Worked with ODA a little bit in OEF and every one of them was calm, intelligent, and humble. Love my Marines, but the Army got it right with however they train and foster Special Forces soldiers. Nothing but respect for them.

      People give SEALS shit because they're in the limelight now, but the younger ones don't know and how easily the older ones forget that in the 80's, it was Delta that was in the position that seals are in now. Some of the movies that made Chuck Norris famous was literally called "DELTA FORCE".

    • @thebadness6217
      @thebadness6217 5 лет назад +1

      @GODS Don't Bleed
      apparently you've never heard of "Black Hawk Down". And as far as more recent events go, there's also "12 Strong"..."13 Hours". Just because former/current Delta operators didn't "act" in their own film, suddenly they're not in the same position apparently.

    All you guys are talking about how he took shots at the seals, but what I'm really interested about is who's he referring to in regards of instructors not being in combat before. It's got to be someone or some guys at RUclips, pointing out how exaggerated their movements are. 🤔🤔🤔

    Man I wish one of you "real experienced" guys would come up with a system that didn't cost boat loads of money and didn't require days traveling to and from to train. I have two very elderly parents that I take care of and live with that I can't leave alone! I do have several hours a day that I can train with. If you have suggestions I would love to hear them!

    When he says he was in an ODA and did OIF1/2+OEF w/ Af/pak etc, I was confused with him saying *he deployed to Asia*. I know OPSEC and being purposefully vague but where in that entire continent could he possibly mean???? I mean I'll take a guess at this point....*Myanmar? Thailand? in the sattelite states like Uzbek or Kyrgztan etc???* I am confused. And again, *I will take the most random guess outside of the Af/Pak theater*

      Dennis SR by the look I’m assuming he was with 1st Group and right after 9/11 each Groups continue to handle their geographical locations, they also went Stand and Iraq. I’m pretty sure he went to Philippines with 1st Group to handle the insurgency problem.

      Brown he literally just said he not only helps improve their shooting but their situational essessment.... he brings to the table what he learned about fighting insurgents in neutral villages. that's pretty much the opposite of training another trigger happy cop.
