Thanks for the review Andrew. I’ll be interested to see a review on the MSR Elixir 1. Common advice seems to be to travel with a 3 man tent for moto camping to get the extra room. I got a Robens Boulder 2 (came up on line for a price that was too good!) last year, which did very well. I really like the idea of travelling smaller and lighter. Cheers

Thanks Pete, I’ll link the Elixir1 review below..cracking good summer travel tent! I do understand the common advice of larger tent and if base camping for a few days fully appreciate the sentiments, however most of my camping is one night and move on so a smaller lightweight tent fits this type of travel for me personally. The main reason for this is light and compact packing, quickness of putting up and more importantly packing away in the morning. Simply put the more you take off the bike the more you have to pack away….which to be fair is a right pain first thing in a morning! I do have larger tents, coincidentally a Robens Voyager 2 person tunnel tent is one of them for which I use in winter for 2/3 night pitches. I nearly bought the Boulder 2 as it’s a great spec tent but to similar to the elixir2 I’ve got so bought a lightweight Robens Buck Creek2 which haven’t used yet but is same high spec as my Robens Elk River1
Lightweight is definitely my route for travel, all the best Andrew

I agree solo motorcycles & 1-2 man tent should never be more than £12 in my book.did you say the bike is 500cc you get about on that FairPlay 👏👏✊🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Indeed so, an I’m finding prices really creeping up in UK with a bad habit of some sites having £20 plus prices and when asked about solo small tent camping they just say it does include 4 people!!! Yes, bike is a 500, or actually 470cc really, but it is so economical and with the miles I do that’s an important thing.. all the best Neil and thanks for commenting 👍🏻

The best I can say is the camera systems I use are creaking along wheezing as we go 😂 However, I’ve just bought a new camera system so watch out for news of that coming soon 😊
