I always assumed Alice Kim was a freelance artist. But when the base game first came out, we didnt have freelance careers officially in the game. Also I'm fairly certain Eric was in the business career.
I think Alice would emotionally cheat, she wouldn't even realise she was doing it and then would cut the person off to save her marriage. Only to realise she is too bold and vibrant for Eric, he needs someone more laid back and mellow. She needs more adventure and spontaneity
My favorite part of rotational gameplay is running into my other sims when I am not playing them 😂😂. Its litterally like I forget they still exist in game and i am like “Ellis, what are you doing here?” I love it. But I am constantly torn between staying and going when I swap families. But keeps the game from getting mundane.
The Spencer-Kim-Lewis story is actually so simple but EA worded it to purposefully confuse us. Its basically just a married couple living with a parent from each side of the couple. The only complicated thing is that Dennis is divorced (to a sim who does not exist in game) and so Alice has a double barrel surname and Olivia has that surname combined with her dad's. Also I'm pretty sure Eric is noncommittal..........
In my save Landgrabs and SKL are the modern day Romeo and Juliet. The Landgrabbs are the criminals and the Spencer Kim Lewis are the secret agents but the teens don’t know about their feud they just know they aren’t supposed to be together . Alice and Nancy were in the academy(college ) together , former bffs, but Nancy chose evil and Alice chose another life. I love the sims 😂
Not your game completely validating my opinion on Alice and Eric's relationship! 😂 I don't know why, but I've gotten the vibe for years now that they just don't work well together. I'm so interested to see how they work out for you as you play more!
I never thought the grandparents had a thing. I think the convoluted introduction to the family is the way it is because someone on the Sims team found the idea of long last names funny and that’s it. I loved playing with this family in my own rotational save file and am very excited to see your take on them. ❤
How I usually play the Spencer-Kim-Lewis fam - Eric becomes a police officer, Alice becomes a painter, gramps starts a gardening club and Granny Viv is a politician. The lore in my head is Alice and Eric moved in with gramps after Alice’s mom passed away. Gramps is a retired architect known for his builds in San Myshuno. Viv moved in after Olivia was born to help with the baby.
In my games, Olivia always has a great relationship with Gramps. They’re besties. And she takes after Alice because she’s very interested in art. Olivia is friends with Alex Goth. Alice has a fierce rivalry with Eliza because she’s a harsh critic. Eric and Bob are bros.
So glad you chose this household to play next. I hope they get their marriage back on track. There’s no telling why it got rocky in the first place. I see Olivia is taking after her mama with the drawings! 🌊💙
I like playing with this family. Their daughter is best friends with one of my sims daughters. Eric is a firefighter, Alice owns a nail salon, Vivian is a teacher and I’m going to have Dennis own the local Asian food spot! it just feels right to me lol

I love how Olivia just flip-lopped between her confidence levels like that, too real

This was such a nice video! While Alice and Eric seem like such a cute couple and compatible, the way she connected with Negan (?) had me 👀 I’d feel bad breaking up such a nice family though
I love this so muuuuch. I can totally see Alice and Negan's friendship! In my head, the reason she randomly wanted to divorce her husband wasn't an issue in the marriege at all. She's an adult sim, living in the same house she grew up in, still with her dad and now also with her husband, a young daughter and her mother-in-law. She doesn't work, so she's always in the house with them. She probably feels like she hasn't acomplished much in life, outside of her marriage and she's letting out her frustrations on the marriage. Maybe Negan's friendship can inspire her to turn art into a career and in return she can teach him about healthy relationships and bondaries. I see her and Eric's relationship as extremely healthy. The second something felt off, rather than arguing, they booked a therapy apointment and tried to fix it. They both love and respect eachother, they put in the work. She can be the one that tells Negan he shouldn't be in a relationship that makes him uncomfortable, show him what a good relationship should look like.
I'm loving this series! I think that this style of gameplay can really be a breath of fresh air when playing. I've personally never tried doing rotational gameplay, but now I want to! Looking forward to the next episode! ❤
I believe this is 1 of those families where the mother in law always stayed with her son and the wife’s dad had a big home and was lonely and opened up his home to his daughter maybe he was getting sick and thought hey why don’t you come take care of dad and me and Ms. Lewis get along we are the same age we enjoy the same stuff and I’d love to have my family home with the rest of my days…. That’s vibe I get and may Ms. Lewis sold her home long ago to be close to her grand baby

Love this family! I usually make Eric a doctor (or serial entrepreneur since he always has a different job 😹), Dennis is usually a judge thats about to retire, Vivian is usually a charity organizer or retired, and I tend to let Alice stay unemployed but she's sells paintings on plopsy! But OMG ever since lovestruck, maintaining relationships has been a lot more difficult! I love it tbh because i really have to be more intentional making sure their relationships are successful and I get to imagine my romance therapist sim has a ton of clients 🤭

I can’t get enough of this series. Firstly, starting with the SKL family was definitely the best decision. There is so much drama in that family, I never realized. Also watching the households start to interact is so exciting! I can’t wait to see where this series takes us. I really hope you’re able to figure out what’s going on with your save. In one of my saves, Eric died right after Alice got pregnant with a late in life 2nd baby (Olivia was a young adult already)--all this by neighborhood stories, not me! So I had Alice move away for a fresh start with the new baby in San Sequoia. Then Kyle Kyleson showed up and you know what I had to do 👀
I'm loving the rotational gameplay! It's the only way I can play because I have been in the same save for 18 generations. So I have no original townies anymore the whole sims world is my legacy. This is a great series idea, I've forgotten about all the OG sims. Last time I saw the Spencer-Kim Lewis family was when I stole their house for my legacy founder in 2014. 😂
Oh this family was way more fun than I first thought! It’s giving lovesick 2 😂 What if for next episode Alice goes to San Myshuno to sell some art pieces with Olivia and some of Olivia’s friends, like the boy in your main household? They could collect posters and snowballs and have fun at the market. Like a nice, exciting daytrip to the big city that the children will definitely remember :) And maybe at some point Eric could ask Alice on a date and see how that goes?

But do you just keep everything going in the other households and let yourself be surprised or do you have like neighborhood stories and aging off? Yes! The only reason why I need this pack is because I like funerals, wills, bucket list, and heirlooms. The realistic features are what I use it for 💙
It could be that Dennis was more conservative growing up so Alice wanted to impress him by getting with a serious guy like Eric, she quickly fell pregnant and then they both wanted to keep the family together despite their individual differences. I think they definitely have a lot of love for each other but that romantic spark is lacking!

I ended playing with the Spencer Kim Lewis this afternoon and I must say, Eric and Alice are so polar when it comes to dreams and achievments. And since I'm a storytelling player, both of them ended up divorcing each other after constant fights.

I love this series so much! As I am currently remaking my whole save I too am starting to feel like I want to play rotationally, haha. So many amazing families! But do you just keep everything going in the other households and let yourself be surprised or do you have like neighborhood stories and aging off? Can't remember if you've said anything in the earlier videos (might rewatch those, lol)

@@oshinsims Honestly, I'm starting to feel the same. Since I play legacies (mostly) I do have aging on, but neighborhood stories are getting on my nerves lol. Not just the odd couples, but why do people in apartments adopt horses?! Haha. (And oh, you just posted a new video, gotta go check it out!)

This gameplay is making me wanna purchase the life or death expansion pack. I usually wait a bit before I purchase any new packs, but I need this!! I’m loving the bucket list feature. But the Kim-Lewis family always confuses me as well. I need to get the original family because I don’t have Dennis or Vivan in my save file.
Yes! The only reason why I need this pack is because I like funerals, wills, bucket list, and heirlooms. The realistic features are what I use it for 💙

It could be that Dennis was more conservative growing up so Alice wanted to impress him by getting with a serious guy like Eric, she quickly fell pregnant and then they both wanted to keep the family together despite their individual differences. I think they definitely have a lot of love for each other but that romantic spark is lacking!

I ended playing with the Spencer Kim Lewis this afternoon and I must say, Eric and Alice are so polar when it comes to dreams and achievments. And since I'm a storytelling player, both of them ended up divorcing each other after constant fights.
