I bought this kit a couple days ago thinking it was beginner friendly. Im completely lost lol
I'm so sorry you're lost! Have you done amigurumi before this or are you just picking up a hook for the first time?
@@TheLoopyLamb I’m in this same situation except I’m a complete beginner besides my friend trying to teach me how to crochet once.. I don’t know what to do lol
@@Fennelcake23 I'm sorry. It unfortunately isn't a beginner-friendly kit. Because this isn't my pattern or product, Im unfortunately not able to provide support or tutorials for this. Perhaps reach out to the pattern designer or the publisher for pattern support. Here is the author's instagram account: instagram.com/sabrina_somers/
@@TheLoopyLamb Oh, thank you anyway :)
@@TheLoopyLamb Should i just give up then?
Your Eevee came out so cute!! I love that you used the materials from the kit rather than substituting any of your own so that we can see what it'll actually be like if we were to buy the kit
Thank you 😀
I just bought this kit to try as an absolute beginner to try out a new hobby. Now I'm a tad bit worried if it's not suited too well for beginners😅
Hopefully you can figure it out. If you’re totally new, I have some tutorials here on the channel for techniques that could help ☺️
@@TheLoopyLamb I hope so! I decided to try learning the basics before going for the kit, still struggling to not make it too tight when trying to start row 2 😅
You should make a video on how to make the eevee. @the loopy lamb
@@alexismercer2371 I’m not permitted to do so for a variety of reasons - starting with the fact that no one is permitted to make a video tutorial of book content or a Pokémon character without permission. Perhaps if you make your suggestion to David and Charles publishing since this is their product and they own the rights to it, they might make one.
I’m with you on the not for total beginners cause the string is hard to handle and I can’t even get the magic loop to close properly and my yarn is pilling badly
I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with it. If you're really wanting to make this toy but are struggling with the yarn and hook size, perhaps try using a worsted weight yarn and a 3mm or 3.5mm hook. It's not the materials with the kit unfortunately but it may make things easier :-)
Your review is really helpful! Thank you especially for all the tips at the end! I've made the head so far and have started the body, and I hope my Evee turns out to be as cute as yours!
You're welcome! I'm so happy you found it helpful. Good luck making the rest of your Eevee 😀❤
Most of the kit is pretty straight forward. I did have some trouble with the collar and the inner ear pieces. Other than that, I found this to be a pretty enjoyable kit.
I actually came here hoping you would have some tips or a tutorial for the inner ear part. :)
Thanks for sharing your experience! ☺️
Hey! Great video, your Eevee is adorable :) Any tips for an absolute beginner trying to complete this kit? Thanks!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. Although I don't recommend this kit for a total beginner, if a complete beginner were insistent on attempting this kit, I'd tell them to read the pattern in its entirety before starting, really take their time, be patient and make lots of time for stretching their hands/wrists and arms. If they were confused by the way the pattern is written, rather than get hung up while they're crocheting, I'd also recommend going through and writing it on a separate sheet of paper in terms that were easier for them to understand. I hope this helps.
@@TheLoopyLamb Thanks so much for the tips! I gave the kit a break while I work on enhancing my crochet skills and knowledge, but when I get back to it I'll let you know how I do!
Thank you so much for this helpful review! I'm new to crochet and confused about the instruction page 30, where in the assembly bit it says sew xxxx at round x to round y - could you explain what that means? I'm unsure about what the rounds here refer to here...
You're welcome. Unfortunately, I'm unable to offer pattern support for products I review but if you contact the author of the book/pattern Sabrina Somers on Instagram or David & Charles publishing, they should be able to point you in the right direction. Here is the link to the author's instagram page: instagram.com/sabrina_somers/
Thanks so much for the tips! I’m so bummed bc I was very confused to as why there were no instructions on how to make this. Apparently bought the kit and someone must’ve taken the instructions/book. Would you be able to help me out and point me in the direction of how to resolve an issue like mine?
@@yerxiongg I'd recommend returning the kit to where you purchased it if it does not contain the pattern book. If that isn't possible you could reach out to the publisher for assistance.
I got this kit and I can not read it and I am a good crocheter. I have also made amigurime a I still can’t do it😢
I'm sorry you're struggling with the kit. The author does have a unique way of writing her patterns that can be tricky to understand for some. I would recommend reaching out to the publisher David and Charles or the author for pattern support. You can find the author on instagram here: instagram.com/sabrina_somers/
Just bought this the other day. I am clueless to crochet

So much for a tutorial on how to make it
It was never a tutorial on how to make it. This is a review of the kit
