Cort has been building exceptional guitars for a while now. My Strandbergs were built in a separate wing at Cort and the are amazing. Thanks for this Fluff.
To point out a couple of things, this guitar's parallel fret is at the nut (it can be anywhere in the scale, or not there at all). This means that the first two to three frets are more or less akin to those on a regular scaled guitar. This is advantageous for chords and riffing. The fan widens as you go up the frets, but because the fret spacing naturally gets smaller as you climb the neck, leads should be pretty comfy. It also looks like the guitar is equipped with single saddle bridges, à la the Hipshot Solo variety. If you buy a guitar with these bridge pieces, and you have to remove them, have a little baggie or a dish for them. They can easily go missing (happened to me before). No mention of the fretboard radius. Pretty nice looking guitar, despite the ugly headstock and logo. Great price too.
They really need to redesign that logo. It brings back memories of their horrible 80s guitars. In fact, it almost represents those terrible offbrand guitars from back in the day from all brands.

I think they need to go a little longer scale than 25.5 on the bass side to really get that chugging stability for any level of downtuning. 26.5 is probably a better target; maybe bring the 24.75 up to 25 if that's too wide of a fan for a 6 string?
I'm disappointed as well every time I see a fan-fret that the low e is 25.5" scale. Not sure what the purpose is. I've never herd anyone say 'I need fender scale for rhythm and Gibson scale for leads.
@@SixString_J5 don't get me wrong, I see the attraction. But I don't personally see it as something I'd want. It's hard enough just to find a 27" or 28" scale 6 string. I got lucky a couple years ago when I found my legator ninja 300B. But it's flawed, it's frets are way too short and they aren't filed down this way, they are just short. Which means I can't bend the strings as easily as it could be
Cort is such a sleeper guitar company. I remember having a Cort Effector Flying V neck thru guitar back in the late 1990s/early 2000s. I regret selling that one.
I was forever very turned off by fanned fret guitars. Last year I was in my local guitar store. I grabbed a Ibanez fan fret off the wall. I grabbed the neck and strummed a chord. It instantly felt right. Like it was designed to accommodate human anatomy instead of making your hands contort to the way the guitar is made. Ive been dying to buy one since. It just hasnt worked out yet with all the craziness in the world this past year.

Design is certainly some part of it, but most people would agree it is predominately quality of materials and craftsmanship involved. I own several of those indonesian made Ibanez guitars, and some are definately made by Cort (you can tell by the serial number). I'm well aware of the fact that I paid some extra cash just for the name. ;)

Well, never thought id say this. but it looks like a Kiesel designed guitar lol. A friend of mine has had a Cort acoustic for over a decade now. It is actually a very underrated sounding and playing guitar.
I found using Balanced Tension string sets with my Gibson scale accomplished much of the same. But also.. Neck pickup in the bridge or parallel those hot coils.
Guess they were tired of doing all the work for big brand in the shadow and getting no recognision for their work You buy an indonesian ESP, Jackson, Ibanez, Fender, Solar and so on, they're all made by Cort but people only see the big name on the headstock
There is nothing that I hate/ dislike then a locking input jack. The idea makes sense but I just can’t stand it. I’m always struggling to remove the cable. Probably I’m too clumsy to push the button and pull the cable.
Aesthetically a very interesting looking guitar. That headstock doesn't look as bad as some say in my opinion. Although it seems a bit generic/bare. Not something I would buy. I am interested in a fanned fret guitar but to me this particular build doesn't really seem practical. At a mere 3/4's of an inch of a fan it seems like a fan just to have one. And not in a really great way or useful. However I haven't experienced playing one. I get the alure of the different scale lengths on other models. This one just falls short in my opinion. Literally.
Does anyone know if Fluence pups are easily to swap with other Fluences? Do they have a quick connect or do you solder them? I ordered this guitar, but I would prefer to drop some Open Core Classics in there.
Does Cort still treat its people poorly? I’ve wanted to buy one cause the price is attractive but I’ve seen where managers told factory employees that “that guitar is worth more than your life” and I just can’t get behind that

@@BigMetalDaddy1301 fanfret pickup swap is always an issue due to angle of pickup plates. Have u ever done this , specifically with a fanfret/fishman fluenece guitar?
@@amircleverman8756 the pole on pickups are a lot bigger than many people think. They don't have to align perfectly. I have swapped pickups on 4-5 guitars, 2 of them being fishmans and 1 emg. It's no problem at all. Even on the passive dimarzio d activator (no slanted in a slanted slot) it didn't make any difference in tone, volume etc.

My issue is not the pole pieces , its the pickup plate on the butt of the pickup (since fishman has a board beneath its fluence models... that maybe an issue in this case) Thanks for the info mate

Dean made the same thing, i think is better also for those who purchase their first multiscale, first frets would not feel "funny"

I'm glad someone finally made this scale. I know its not the only one but its very hard to find. Cort, now make 25.5-26.5 6 string as well.

You can easily switch them with other fishmans, emgs or active Duncan's.
