Love the way you charted these. That vellum is also protecting the chart, very smart! I love mixing dupes, it seems to be my happy place for some reason. Love the granulation in the Autumn green. Thanks for sharing! 🎨
Have the same ikea cloth as you 😊 kinda heartwarming 😂✨ also always nice to see Aquarius paints, I'm quite proud they're from my country 🥰 (and also we can get them easier I guess 😂✨)
I really love that Autumn Green! I know everyone goes bonkers for Daniel Smith paints, but I have to call Roman Szmal my fave followed by M Graham. I splurged on a 48 pan setup 4 years ago, but some of the new colors are looking very good lately! Top of my list besides this green are the Misty Morning and Shadow Violet Light.
The Roman Szmal mixes are really lovely, they are all really worth it (in my opinion). M.Graham makes for mixes with some really beautiful, textured properties too!
YES Misty Morning is my absolute fav from them! I love pushing and pulling it with my cobalt turquoise and quin. rose! If you haven't tried it yet I really recommend Przybysz's Grey, it's a fun moody purple a bit more neutral leaning than the Shadow Violets
That was so wonderful and relaxing to watch. I like your color experiment with using the same pigments and shift the mixes to see the variations. Very beautiful! That green is gorgeous too. Would work for spring too in my world. :)
I love love love the Autumn Green, I use it and the Aquarius Green when I'm sketching in a forest, these multi-pigment separating colours are my favourite thing about Aquarius paints!! I can't wait for the Aquarius Violet to be released, I have a small amount of it in my palette and it's absolutely beautiful, we call it the Plum here in Poland and I don't think the official name will stick at all 😆
Oooo, I'll have to remember to try putting both greens in the same palette! They are both so pretty. I'm a bit envious of your blob of Plum, hehe! XD I can't wait to have it, but it's probably gonna take quite some time... (if it's not even available yet in Poland).
@@EveBolt yeah I got it because a friend knows Roman personally and has gone through a few pans of it already 😆 I know that there will be a bunch of new colours for an urban sketching festival we have in August so it's not just the Plum, but until August is still such a long time 😭😭
First time I saw the autumn green painted out and discussed. I liked it immediately when I first saw it, and like it even more now with your paint out. I am mostly disappointed by convenience greens, but this one is lovely and natural, as are the colours you stretched from it. I see all these colours in my garden regularly, so such a pleasure to see a green that will cover them with no harsh unreal pigments that give the acid green look I really do not like. I really like the triad that make up this colour too, again not harsh but really usable pigments.I love my RS colours about to order a few today, shall include the autumn green, it is irresistible. Nice review and paint out.
Thank you so much! :D I agree that it's a very natural looking green, with beautiful texture and character. I didn't expect it to stretch into these beautiful peachy colors, I feel they would be interesting for portraits, or maybe even some flowers. A whole painting could be made from these three pigments and not lack any nuance. I hope you'll enjoy using the color, once it get to you :3
I love adding the vellum with the pigments on top of each swatch. How do you attach the vellum to the cellulose watercolour paper? What size is the paper you are using for these swatches?
Hi! Thank you! Both sheets are 9x12. The watercolor paper is cellulose (something like Canson XL) and the vellum is an odd pad of vellum I had on hand. Tracing paper would also work, but it's a bit more fragile. I attach the vellum at the top of the sheet with basic adhesive tape XD
@@EveBolt Thank you Eve so much for replying! The paper I have is the same 9 x 12 and I just have to get vellum paper the same size or a bit longer. Have a great day!!
Love the charting system 😯🤩 on a side note: do you mind sharing what camera you film with? The colours look ridiculously good and I'm pretty sure they're almost the exact matches to real life 😊
I like how how you’ve organised your chart to account for all the paints in Roman Szmal, not just the paints that you have.
Thank you! I find that setup so much easier to manage :)

Thank you so much! Mixing dupes is a lot of fun, I agree! Excellent way to discover new colors by getting the mixes "wrong" XD

Ikea makes excellent tea towels that are great for painting :)
And having easy access to the Aquarius paints sounds like a dream, hehe! :)

I'm with you, Roman Szmal is my fave too. Closely followed by Daniel Smith. For me, RS wets easily and flows beautifully on different papers.

Oh! Very smart! Roman Szmal paints are beautiful!💜💜💜
They are absolutely gorgeous :D
Oooooooh I love the color swatches you did with Automn Green! It feel so foresty (also thanks for the name drop omg I am honored
It’s been really fun to make limited palettes based on the composition of convenience mixtures e.g. my moonglow palette of pb29, pr209, and pg18.
I agree! It's a good way to find new interesting mixes, too!

This is such exciting news!!!!! I can't wait to see the new colors! :D

Yaaay, I see you finally got the autumn green! that's cool 😍 the chart is impressive!
Merci pour ces exemples! J'attends Autumn Green de Jackson's.
Ça fait plaisir! :)
J'espère que vous aurez votre Autumn Green bientôt! :D
You’re so organized Eve!💜
That's because that's the only thing you see XD There's a lot of disorganized stuff too!
@@EveBolt Lol 😆
Love the idea for how you arrange your way of setting up your chart.
I really like your color mixing swatches. 🎉
Thank you so much! :D
I like your organizational paint chart. Love the longer format video. I've missed those.❤❤❤
Thank you so much! I'm glad the longer videos are appreciated :3
Love the greens pretty, Roman Szmal so reasonably priced
True! It's so affordable and the colors are gorgeous :D

Oh! Thank you! :D
I film with my phone (an older model of iPhone). Good lighting temperature will help make the colors come out right :)
I see you have malachite. Would be interested in a video about how to use that color
I use it like any other color, is there something specific about this one? :)
I’ve just not really seen it mentioned or used other than in the context of not being lightfast and fading fast
Ok! Noted! I'll see what I can do :)
My old lady cat does the same (she's 18). She really makes it known that she wants attention.
Awww :3
Give pets to your old lady cat for me, please :3
🥺💚💚💚
It's so pretty! :D
First!
