    Guinep ,/chennet/ Skinep /Kenip grows all over the Caribbean . The seeds when roasted are yummy !with a nutty taste . The sperm count is also a fact .There are different varieties of it .Some are pointed like a Lemon others round like a grape .The biggest one I've ever seen is about the size of a local hen's egg( Yard fowl) when cracked open there was so much juice in the half shell about 1tsp. We would Crack it by putting it between your front teeth making sure to hold it Upright because of the quantity of juice that would remain in the bottom half of the rind .
    Guinep was used as Food Rations for The Slaves along with Breadfruit and Sslted Cod .About 2lbs. Salt Fish 2 Breadfruit and a sizeable bunch o
    fGuinep/ Chenet for each adult Slave .
    Now they know why the Slaves would work from Dawn to Dusk and still find time to reproduce like Rabbits . (Virility )
    It is because of the reproductive enhancing 🎉properties of this fruit a la Sperm count .
    Personally I chew everything which makes the milky liquid from the seed sweet and then spit out the husk.
    Shalom

      @myislandjamaica  Месяц назад

      Hey Dwight,
      Thanks for the great question! Guinep, also known as Spanish lime, is indeed a popular fruit in Jamaica, but it’s not originally from here. The guinep tree is actually native to the tropical regions of the Americas, including parts of Central and South America. It was brought to Jamaica and has become an integral part of our local culture and cuisine. It’s always fascinating to see how different fruits find their way into our traditions, right?
