What's with Shaka's take? Dortmund developed Pulisic then sold him for 58 million pounds. He was hit by the injury bug at Chelsea. At Milan, he has been mainly injury free. The additional advantage of his being at Milan, is that when he hits a fallow period of form, he doesn't automatically get yanked from the starting lineup.
I can see Pulisic having another great year again from an individual standpoint of 25-30 goal contributions in all comps. But at Milan with its history it’s about winning trophies so I hope he & Milan can win some big silverware while he’s at the club.
It will be from an individual standpoint as this Milan team is not very good. They’ll do well to finish in the top four and based on the Liverpool game they’re miles off from being competitive.
He scored a goal in the first 4 minutes, a lovely goal mind you, but after the 10 minute mark he was non-existent like most of the Milan players. Liverpool embarrassed him and the whole team. He was marked right out of the game.
@@delby66that’s a huge difference in manager and tactics.. Liverpool started marking him and took him out of the game, meanwhile Fonseca made no changes all game until the 69th.
Shaka: Christian didn’t make it at Dortmund🙄🤪he made his professional debut at 17 and was the first teenager to score in a champions league match and he scored against Real Madrid. At the end of his Dortmund days a couple of factors contributed to Pulisic’s change of circumstances. One of them being Sancho performing well in his absence while he was out injured. The other one being Tuchel probably was taking it out on Pulisic for not resigning a new contract at the time. Also Christian was not shut down by Slot’s tactical change. Milan were stuck defending the whole game therefore leading Pulisic to do defensive responsibilities trying to help Calabria keep Jota and Gakpo at bay. And when Milan did have the ball it mostly went up the middle or his teammates would end up passing it to Leao like they always do.
Pulisic finally got a coach who will start him instead of being used as a super sub. His quality has always been there. The problem with him in the past has been injuries.
Now he’s starting, but playing in a poor team thats miles off from being title contenders and Liverpool beat them far too easily. As a Liverpool fan I was a little shocked how bad they were.
Mo Salah vibes. A Chelsea outcast who came back after flourishing in serie A. True Salah. And back to the premier league but I wouldn’t rule that out after his contract is up at Milan. He’ll only be 28. I think the premier league is unquestionably more challenging and competive, but I being Milan’s best performer for the rest of his career and possibly making a second run for a champions league trophy has to be on Chris’s mind.
Milan are not a great side right now and they’ll do well to finish in the top four. The Liverpool game showed how far behind they are. Pulisic scored a decent goal, but like everyone else did very little after it. Having said that he is arguably Milans best player right now, but thats not really saying a lot.
As a Juve fan, I can say that McKennie is always criticized because of things he brings upon himself. Whether it's his fitness, contract disputes, the Covid parties in the past, or things he says that are somewhat questionable. He's also a victim of his own talent. He's versatile enough to play in multiple positions, but not good enough in any of them to be considered a lock starter at any of them. Yes, he led the team last season in assists, but that's only because Pogba got banned, Fagioli was also banned, and injuries devastated our MF. If it wasn't for that he would've been in the same position as now. I'm just trying to give some context, as an American and Juve fan, I am happy he's performing when given the chance, but he's only given these chances because of injuries, or other reasons. He was given the start because Kephren was coming back from injury, Douglas is still trying to get football fit, if not for that, one of those guys would've started and he would be on the bench. To me, he's a super role player, does the hard work and covers well for others, but are you telling me, honestly, you would have him before Kephren Thuram, Douglas Luiz, or even Manuel Locatelli? In Juve right now he will get his spot start, when the team needs energy he will come off the bench, and he will fill his role. He's not a lock starter for a top club.
@@ashen_BA-Pillman are you serious? That's an asinine statement. If McKennie was better than Douglas, we wouldn't have had to spend the money we did for Douglas. McKennie can only hope he ever gets to half the level Douglas is at.
It's down to league and health... At Dortmund and Chelsea he was in and out more than anything due to health... AC he's been healthy along with being in a bit less of a physically demanding league.
