Great video! Glad to see the military veteran community coming together for something so important. I’ve not be diagnosed with anxiety, PTSD, or anything service related yet, however riding is my outlet to calmness. Thanks for your service and keep up The great videos.
Thank you for this video. MTB is my outlet for anxiety and depression as well. No one around me seems to understand my struggles but happy to know the MTB community is more than just riding!
Super Cool, just up from where I grew up. SoCal 4 Life!!! 🤘🏽 very cool event, I too struggle, some days are rad others are crazy hard!! God Bless Bro and Live-Life-Loud
That was such a great day. Really glad you were able to come down for the event. Also was fun hanging out afterwards and having some beers with and whiskey with you that night.
Nice video introducing a accessible park for people to build skills and have fun. Having it tie in with a cool outreach event was great to see. Mountain Biking is great for the soul.
Love that place. Moved up the sac area this year. Definitely miss having a spot like this near by. Worth the trip for sure. Add snow valley and or snow summit and that’s a great weekend. Thanks for the video ❤
Robert, thanks for this video. I have found MTB to be an amazing outlet for my daily stresses. Your podcast lead me to find The Dirt Therapy Project. I have reached out to the NC chapter and hope to join some members on a group ride soon. I will update later on how that works out.
This place is so good. Mark is a friend of mine. Really rad guy. Did you get a chance to ride Snow Summit and Snow Valley too. My son and I were just at Summit and Snow Valley at the end of October. I am going here next summer.🔥💯
It's my Garmin. It measures your air time and some other stats when jumping. I need to turn off the beep. It's annoying. But typical me...I just think about doing it for like 6 months.
Is there any of these events on the east coast I have recently been trying to get into doing MTB but have no one around me who do. between funds and sc disabilities I would like to see if its something I can do.
Look up Dirt Therapy Project. I did a podcast with the founder and they have different vet groups around the US. instagram.com/dirttherapyproject?igshid=YmM0MjE2YWMzOA==
I am 275lbs and been struggling for years now to lose weight. I just started mtbiking 3 months ago but still not losing weight which is very frustrating.
I can tell you the cold hard truth here. It is really just about calories in vs calories out. If you aren’t burning more than you are eating, you won’t loose weight. Believe me, I can ride big rides seven days a week but if I’m slamming beers and eating ice cream and snacks every night…I’ll gain weight. I have a video coming soon that might help motivate ya. I know it’s hard. It’s always a struggle for me. But I always know the fact of the matter is always calories in vs out. Best of luck to ya man.
@@B1KER i thought i was burning more than what i am taking in. I am glad i came upon your 301lbs and mtb saved my life videos cuz they inspired me. It will take time but we will get there.
@@herbalthoughtbjorn If you aren’t loosing weight, you aren’t burning more. Maybe try counting the calories or using a food tracker. It’s 10 calories for every pound. So at 275 you can eat 2750 calories and not do any exercise and you wouldn’t gain weight. So if you want to do nothing and loose weight you could eat 2500 calories and you’d drop to 250. If your goal is like 200, don’t try to go straight to 2000 calories as you’d be starving yourself and would end up losing muscle mass too. Do it in blocks and when you get closer to let’s say 250 then lower it to 2250. Etc. it’s not easy, just keep trying. Different diets or meal plans work for everyone. Just because one person can count calories doesn’t mean it will work for you. Maybe Keto, or intermittent fasting, or Noom, works for you. Just keep trying until you find something that does. Best of luck bud.
That looked like so much fun. I love the fact that you have to earn your descents by riding to the top.
Amazing cause too. Big respect!
Was a blast!

When I started losing weight I really started riding a ton more. The time in the saddle has really made a big difference.
Skypark is so much fun .Snow summit is way better in the summer.l

Absolutely loved this, @B1KER! Stoked to get to hang again here soon.

We've got some great riding in the Sacramento area, but nothing like that. Would be rad if something could open like this locally.
@@B1KER it’s only like 400 feet of elevation. I’ll go halfers with you on a 10 acre plot of land. 😉 let’s go 😊

@@B1KER haha, year right!
Really great video Robert! Sky Park is only 20 minutes from my house and I have yet to visit. This video will probably change that! Thanks
Right on, I feel confident you'll have a good time.
I hit that like button. Hope the 6 beers tasted good 😂. Lots of wood feature inspiration for me there. Looks like a fun park.
Definitely enjoyed the beers. It was a really fun place. I can’t wait to come ride yours someday.
@@B1KER That would be awesome. I'll make sure I have some cold beers ready.
I need to get Xano out there!
Sounds like we need to do a road trip!

Unfortunately it was just that one ride. I need to make a SoCal trip.
@@B1KER For sure brother. It looks like you went to the Ride and shine event. So awesome. I can not wait to try Sky Park.💯
Great video. Biking do so many good things for so many people. It’s pretty astonishing. Curious, what was the beeping coming from your bike?

@@B1KER that’s cool, I didn’t even know a Garmin could do that.
What is that elevated fence/rail thing kind of more near the beginning of park kinda lodge buildings area?
I think it's some sort of roller coaster for kids. It wasn't running while I was there but that's what it looked like.
yo from vta ca
Right on 🤘
