I’ve been to Bellingham several times to visit my sister but never took a bike with me. I didn’t realize what I was missing. Thanks for sharing your day with us!
Such a great video dude and it’s great to see Josh back at it. His videos are so far and few between right now it’s good to see a familiar face hitting the stuff in his neighborhood and I agree with you, Robert I’m not a guy either I like to look at it a couple times and then make a very business like decision.
So glad you got up to Bellingham. I live 1.5 hrs away , but it’s still hard to get up there as much as I want. You looked like you did great for a first time. When you come back is when it gets really good!!
Incredible. I cant say id be any more brave on those features my first tine around either. Or second for that matter. Youre an awesome rider and we love watching you do stuff most of us will never have the opportunity to ride.
This is hilarious. My son and I just did a Bellingham-Squamish-Whistler trip at the end of September, and even stopped by Josh’s church. We didn’t ride diamond head in Squamish but camped at Alice Lake and rode those tech/slab trails. Epic adventure for sure!!! 🤘🏼
The only difference for us was we did hit Diamond Head. If you ever go back ride Half Nelson there. It was one of the most fun flow trails I've ever been on. It'll be in the next video for sure!
I’m almost 50 and took a young 30s Army Sgt up there and he said he couldn’t believe how out of shape climbing wise he was until he met Galby. Def something for everyone though regardless of skill level. Shout out to WMBC for all their hard work keeping our gnar maintained.
@@B1KER Im in Asheville, N.C. But with a plane anythings not TOO far 😅 We just got crushed by hurricane Helene. All of Pisgah National Forest is closed down and probably wrecked anyway. So yeah I'm willing to go anywhere when we get our Server room back up and running at work. Pain right in my ass...
@@WildWheelsMTB Ah man, I was thinking Ashland, Or 🤦♂️ Sorry to hear about the mess. I’m an IT guy too. I can only imagine what you’re dealing with. Best of luck man.
@@B1KER It's shitty here but we will bounce back. The community here is strong! I always appreciate when you bring up the IT stuff on the podcast. We do pretty similar jobs it sounds like.
Chuckanut was probably my favorite of Bellingham. Either that or Brown POW. Squamish and whistler were just insane and definitely preferred diamond head trail network over Alice lakes.
You know what? You reminded me of me, a bit, sir! My name is Luís Martins and I'm a doctor, from Coimbra, Portugal, 45 years old. It is completely ok to back off a bit and build up your confidence, with proper knowledge of the trail/track. From what I saw in you video I would have tried a little bit more stuff than you did, the first go around in some of the trails but...jumps, you have to practice them! Drops, especially in almost freefall, you've got to practice!!! I'm the proud owner of 3 bikes and slowly building the 4th and last, wich will be a 120/120mm XCO Specialized Epic 8. Nr 2 is a Specialized Stumpjumper Evo 160/150mm(wich I consider a perfect bike and THE holly grail of Trail/Enduro bikes). Nr 3 is a Propain Tyee CF 180/160mm full of carbon to the teeth to make it as light as possible(13,57kgs- Stumpy, 13,97kgs- Tyee). All my bikes are better than their rider - me! Lol! But, MTB makes me feel alive in a way that only...well, sex does. But being a doctor, working with my hands, performing surgery and, especially, not being 25 anymore makes me realize that one does have to be carefull. I cannot endager my wrists. Ever. Period. That would be a disaster! And my life dreams are to "hit" Leogang Bike Park, Austria, and surrounding trails and, of course, the Meca - Whistler! Go get it, my friend. And good luck! Envy you a lot, with that trip to Whistler...Lol! Subscribed your channel and hit the like button. Keep sending more good stuff! Good ridings, safe ridings. Cheers, all the way from Coimbra, Portugal!
Don't feel bad about bailing on that wood turn entrance to the wood bridge on Evo - it took me a while to figure it out, then even longer to pick it back up after somehow loosing the feature.
It was so good to be able to show you around Robert (and the other guys)! Can't wait for you to come back!
I'm definitely looking forward to coming back!
Big shout out to Bellingham locals! I rode three different trail systems the day I visited and had a random local guide me through each one. 🤘
That is awesome! Everyone we met there was super friendly.
Love the format of these videos
Thanks man! I always think they are going to be horrible until I finish then I'm stoked.
Bellingham local here. Cedar dust and the dirt jump’s scattered around town are awesome for jump progression
Ah, thanks! There is so much there it's just insane. You guys are very lucky.
Another great one! I love riding new places but I'm with you, I am always cautious as hell. My old bones cant take the hit like they use to! HA!
You and me both!
Definitely on a list. Thanks for a great video.
Thanks for watching!
That looks like an Awesome place❕ & love the way u narrate the adventure 🤘🏻
Thanks man, I'm glad ya like it!
This is an area we're looking at moving to, such an amazing place!
Aside from the rain it seems like a great place. The riding there and what’s close to it is top notch. It’s only about 2 hours from Whistler.

You definitely need to take your bike or rent one there. It's definitely a don't miss place.
good stuff man glad you enjoyed our trails!
Good time were had!

He’s always been riding. Just not really making videos.
Welcome to WA, Robert!
Sooooo good!
Stoked you made it out this way! Next time hit me up for a tour of the good stuff!
Bellingham was super fun!

Definitely some healthy climbs in there!
Killed the video! I wanna go ride here so bad too! Going to get out of Asheville soon for a a break from the chaos and trying to decide a location.
You won’t be bummed about Bellingham. Plus it’s not too far for you.

Ah man I would've liked the video to be double the length so I could see some full pull runs. I've definitely wanted to ride there
I have a full pull on Members & Patreon of Chuckanut.
Make sure when you come back to check out duthie hill and tiger mtn! Duthie is amazing for building jump and drop skills quickly!
Right on, I'll make sure I have them on the list next time when I spend some more time there.

Squamish was my favorite part of this trip. So much fun there.
I definitely need to tag along when you go back!
I'm considering not going to Sedona this year and going to Bellingham instead.

Awesome trail
Thanks!
10 day road trip? Hell Ya
All the riding, all the stoke!

Hahahaha, not super stoked about being on ladders.
I really feel those opening comments about riding somewhere new that you’ve only seen on video
It's definitely a thing!
Man! I definitely need to hit that shit! Looks like a bit of a climb but prolly not any more than Tiger
It wasn't too bad. We shuttled Chuckanut though. That would be quite the climb if you were pedalling.
Believe me when I say: If I could, I would!!!!
I hear ya!

Glad you liked it!
Sounds like a token is loose.
I have no idea. I just sent it back for service. I'm a complete novice when it comes to suspension.
