If you're not planning on upgrading, the 3060 will be a decent budget option for the future, as it has enough memory to not bottleneck in future triple A titles. You can forget High/Ultra settings at that point though. So it will match or potentially outclass the 3060ti in some select titles in the future.

(this was during the GPU shortages) They only had the 3060 and 3070 (out of budget) and no 3060ti so I just got impatient and bought the 3060 lol The 3060 isn't that bad, I mean, I recently played the last of us PC port and I rarely dropped below 60 fps and mostly hovered around 90-110 fps and that game isn't even optimized very well.

This just reaffirmed my decision getting a pre-owned RTX 2080 for about 30% less than a pre-owned 3060 was the correct one. And pre-owned 3060 TI's are much more expensive, so thank you for the 1440p comparisons. I did get the Asus RTX 2080 for a bargain price though, $300 Australian on eBay.
3060 12gb is mayby good to have 12gb vram but is it worth loosing alot of fps in most of games(2-3 games that was better w 12gb version i seen so far,but thats just due to so high vram so the 8gb verion of gpu didnt love it at all) So if a game demands 12gb vram and compared to the rtx3060ti 8gb will the 12gb version still loose everytime when it is the FPS or what? my thought was after i got new pc 31 dec 2023 that might have been better to wait n got a rtx3070 instead(but 500usd more is a bit to much i think n thats what it does cost for that prebuilt pc w only difference is just the gpu"mayby cooling??i dont know exactly but speqs same otherwise on both) No matter bought is bought n in 3 years it wont matter at all anyway(if not a fsr 5.0 super duper 300% fps increase shown up with no difference in graphics,But that wont happen) thanks 4 video...great to be able to see difference
I have both gpu. 3060 is powerful enough for most games. I mostly play squad. But my 3070 stutterin because vram is low. Even at the lowest setting . Both pc have 16 gb ram. Maybe i need more ram in 3070 setup I think 8gbvram is not enough for todays game
V Ram is not everything, of course the 3060ti is much stronger than the non ti. For 8 GB Card buy the 3060ti and for 12 GB or 16 GB the 4070 or RX 7700XT is the best Option.
In games with good vram optimization, the 3060Ti holds up like a CHAMP, especially with DLSS. That 256 bus width helps a lot, and 4864 cuda cores. It even beats the 1080Ti and 2080 Super. An overclocked 3060Ti can match a 2080Ti or 3070. That's just nuts for the mid-range card. 3060Ti has aged like fine wine.
I bought 3060 for the same thing, I care about Texture Quality/RT and whenever I lose FPS I enable AMD FG to compensate like ghost of tsushima, or lossless scaling, they all eat a lot of VRAM. You wont be able to RT with 3070 in some games/1080p, let alone FG. Even texture quality must be set to its average, e.g. Halo infinite. However it's much stronger than 3060 when VRAM is available. Devs today prefer to put most assets on VRAM to get more FPS, so they don't code it to put unnecessary/light assets on RAM. And when it runs out, instead puts textures there, to avoid losing FPS, and textures load poorly, they should use other stuff on RAM to make room for textures, albeit some FPS loss, so there a 3060 wont outperform a 3070 in such games sometimes even on FPS. They might do this on purpose, first to get the most FPS/ and quicken the 8GB's obsolescence
I got it with an Artic Accelero 3 Extreme on it so it's really quiet, but the ventus cooler it's trash, the heatsink it's really thin and I think it should be loud and/or hot

Hi, how's the fan noise on that 2080 Ventus under full load? Like is it too loud?
