Strangest thing I’ve ever eaten… After getting my wisdom teeth out a few years ago I couldn’t eat any hard foods... After getting tired of consistently eating apple sauce and other boring soft foods. One night, I sat down in the pantry with a can opener and can of tomato paste, not soup.. paste, I ate the entire can and I softly cried the entire time because I truly despise tomatos.
I’m not kidding or exaggerating- I literally laughed so hard I couldn’t talk or breathe. I had tears streaming down my face and was wheezing. I laughed for about 10 minutes straight, laughed even harder when I tried to read this to my husband. I am still laughing while typing this. I truly imagined walking in on this, as if I know you, and it made me laugh even harder.

Once, I decided to get into cooking. And I chose to make this delicious-looking recipe I found for a cheesy broccoli casserole. One of the ingredients was heavy cream. I didn't have heavy cream, so French vanilla creamer looked like a good substitute. It tasted like broccoli cheesecake. I ate the whole thing to teach myself a lesson about substituting ingredients on the fly.

One time I was desperately craving a PB & J sandwich and I started making it and when it got to the jelly part, I realized I had ran out already. So there I am, with this half peanut butter sandwich, looking so sad and unfulfilled of its destiny to be the bomb pb & j sammy I had just envisioned of moments ago... long story short, I found some Jell-O in the fridge, pondered it for a moment & figured "hey, it's *jell* form, it can't be that off, right?" So I made a peanut butter & JELL-O sandwich .... I couldn't even finish it. 10/10 worst sandwich I've ever made.
The strangest thing I’ve eaten in one of those moments is Greek yogurt. I know it’s /considered/ a normal food, but it had ALWAYS grossed me out from texture to flavor. But one night I was blasted and wanted something sweet, and I tried some from my fridge during my 30 minute munchie spree and holy freakin cow. I LOVE GREEK YOGURT!!! The elevated state of mind allowed me to relax and experience it as it is instead of my brain immediately interrupting with YOURE EATING SOUR CREAM😂😂 life changing moment lol
Used to work with a trash sorting company. We went to events and sorted the trash, recycling and compost. A lot of people would throw away some really expensive food that they barely ate or didn't even open. I'll put it to you this way... a few layers of juicy garbage residue wont be what stops this girl from doing her part in preventing food waste. Saved a decent amount in my grocery budget that summer 😋

I have a distinct memory from when I was very young of me just... eating butter. I had no idea what it was but it was in a cool little dish that was shaped like a polar bear with sunglasses on and I was just enamored by this off-white block of creamy, salty goodness. My mom eventually came to stop me and told me what it was and that it wasn't made to be eaten with my bare fists like a maniac.

something makes me think it’s the room temp air being released from the cereal. it was already a super aerated cereal and i imagine the aging dried it out even more. i tend to notice if it’s a puffed cereal, the milk gets “warmer” quicker. also could be something to do with ingredients used in production that are no longer used i.e. the red dye that sounded like a drug.

I once forgot about pumpkin muffins under my bed. My Granny had made them for Thanksgiving and I didn't want to share with my siblings. When I did my spring cleaning in like May, I found them. They were covered in fuzzy mold of all sorts. I left them on the kitchen counter and my sister got up in the middle of the night and ate 1. The next morning she told my mom she didn't think she liked those muffins. My mom said she hadn't made any muffins and was super confused so I showed them what she ate.
The strangest thing I've ever eaten: Backstory-- So I wanted a loaded baked potato but we didn't have any sour cream, cheese, or bacon or basically anything for a loaded baked potato. So I put on what we did have: 1 medium (microwaved) potato 3 Large spoonfuls of Cottage Cheese 2 scoops of Hummus (Tomato flavor?) Salt Pepper Worcester sauce I am ashamed to say I have become addicted to this and eat it atleast once a month.
Man I'm 34, I fully remember this cereal, and I ALSO didn't realize they were supposed to be spider webs. I always assumed it was a weird honeycombs attempt all the way up until you put the very obvious puzzle together for us. So thank you.

Andrew only started doing editing for Garret's channels back on July 18th and presumably Garret was solo editing before then (not counting the sweet boys podcast that I'd guess Andrew did a lot of the editing for). For the filming it looks a lot like Garret's old stationary camera videos, but there's more zooming / panning which might have been done in editing, but could be a hint that Andrew's running the camera.

Many moons ago a friend and I found ourselves with the munchies. We searched the house and discovered OLD Christmas brownie mix (2 years past expiration).. With no patience to spare, we thought it wise to mix it up and then attempt cooking it in the microwave to "save time". 😅 It became a steaming hot, stale flavored, liquid mess that we proceeded to dip iced oatmeal cookies into. 4/10 flavor, 10/10 memory!

I'm loving this "let's eat something I didn't get to as a kid" thing because there are so many foods and drinks that were so interesting and wanted to try but was never able. I don't know of I'd have the guts to eat a 20-year-old cereal, but the strangest thing I've eaten is peanut butter on pepperoni. I was going through a "peanut butter phase" and wanted to try it on anything, including cooked noodles (which isn't too bad), and my mom would dip pepperoni slices in spaghetti sauce while she made lasagna so I decided to try peanut butter instead of spaghetti sauce with the pepperoni slices.
I’m so happy that he’s confident enough to be his own self on camera and send it out to the world. One of the only RUclipsrs I watch who don’t have this built up fake personality. Love you Garrett!
I definitely had a few. Some of my favorite unhinged snacks were... cold can of meatball spaghettios, a flour tortilla with strawberry yogurt and cold corn on it, or a pie I used to make with exclusively Pillsbury pie crust and the juice from inside those candy wax bottles. The last two of these I would not advise eating I was 4-5 years old when I made these. But cold can of spaghettios still hold a place in my heart.

Once, I decided to get into cooking.
And I chose to make this delicious-looking recipe I found for a cheesy broccoli casserole. One of the ingredients was heavy cream.
I didn't have heavy cream, so French vanilla creamer looked like a good substitute.
It tasted like broccoli cheesecake.
I ate the whole thing to teach myself a lesson about substituting ingredients on the fly.
Ohmygod. Once I didnt have milk so I did the same for homemade mac n cheese. Wasnt the worst thing I've ever eaten, but it was pretty damn close
This made me actually chuckle out loud!

One time I was desperately craving a PB & J sandwich and I started making it and when it got to the jelly part, I realized I had ran out already. So there I am, with this half peanut butter sandwich, looking so sad and unfulfilled of its destiny to be the bomb pb & j sammy I had just envisioned of moments ago... long story short, I found some Jell-O in the fridge, pondered it for a moment & figured "hey, it's *jell* form, it can't be that off, right?" So I made a peanut butter & JELL-O sandwich .... I couldn't even finish it. 10/10 worst sandwich I've ever made.
The strangest thing I’ve eaten in one of those moments is Greek yogurt. I know it’s /considered/ a normal food, but it had ALWAYS grossed me out from texture to flavor. But one night I was blasted and wanted something sweet, and I tried some from my fridge during my 30 minute munchie spree and holy freakin cow. I LOVE GREEK YOGURT!!! The elevated state of mind allowed me to relax and experience it as it is instead of my brain immediately interrupting with YOURE EATING SOUR CREAM😂😂 life changing moment lol

Used to work with a trash sorting company. We went to events and sorted the trash, recycling and compost. A lot of people would throw away some really expensive food that they barely ate or didn't even open. I'll put it to you this way... a few layers of juicy garbage residue wont be what stops this girl from doing her part in preventing food waste. Saved a decent amount in my grocery budget that summer 😋

I have a distinct memory from when I was very young of me just... eating butter. I had no idea what it was but it was in a cool little dish that was shaped like a polar bear with sunglasses on and I was just enamored by this off-white block of creamy, salty goodness. My mom eventually came to stop me and told me what it was and that it wasn't made to be eaten with my bare fists like a maniac.
I did that, but with a tub of country crock 😅

I was not concerned until he said “something about this cereal is making the milk warm”. That freaked me out.
something makes me think it’s the room temp air being released from the cereal. it was already a super aerated cereal and i imagine the aging dried it out even more. i tend to notice if it’s a puffed cereal, the milk gets “warmer” quicker. also could be something to do with ingredients used in production that are no longer used i.e. the red dye that sounded like a drug.
Garrett you have a gift to make people smile no matter what the situation is. I think the weirdest thing I have purposely consumed is salt and vinegar crickets (they were delicious though, and I have no regrets)

I once forgot about pumpkin muffins under my bed. My Granny had made them for Thanksgiving and I didn't want to share with my siblings. When I did my spring cleaning in like May, I found them. They were covered in fuzzy mold of all sorts. I left them on the kitchen counter and my sister got up in the middle of the night and ate 1. The next morning she told my mom she didn't think she liked those muffins. My mom said she hadn't made any muffins and was super confused so I showed them what she ate.

Backstory-- So I wanted a loaded baked potato but we didn't have any sour cream, cheese, or bacon or basically anything for a loaded baked potato. So I put on what we did have:
1 medium (microwaved) potato
3 Large spoonfuls of Cottage Cheese
2 scoops of Hummus (Tomato flavor?)
Salt
Pepper
Worcester sauce

Man I'm 34, I fully remember this cereal, and I ALSO didn't realize they were supposed to be spider webs. I always assumed it was a weird honeycombs attempt all the way up until you put the very obvious puzzle together for us. So thank you.

@@TheAmaranthFlower Andrew does some of the editing and filming but it's hard to know how much (I think they have a similar enough editing style that it's hard to guess who did what). Andrew only started doing editing for Garret's channels back on July 18th and presumably Garret was solo editing before then (not counting the sweet boys podcast that I'd guess Andrew did a lot of the editing for). For the filming it looks a lot like Garret's old stationary camera videos, but there's more zooming / panning which might have been done in editing, but could be a hint that Andrew's running the camera.

Honestly i feel you on that childhood as a chubby kid whose parents were really pushing that diet mindset on you- the saddest meal i would have is when my mom would put me on diets, then late at night i would sneak out and eat slices of bread with butter in them that i rolled into a ball with my hand lmao

Many moons ago a friend and I found ourselves with the munchies. We searched the house and discovered OLD Christmas brownie mix (2 years past expiration).. With no patience to spare, we thought it wise to mix it up and then attempt cooking it in the microwave to "save time". 😅 It became a steaming hot, stale flavored, liquid mess that we proceeded to dip iced oatmeal cookies into. 4/10 flavor, 10/10 memory!

I remember eating the Spider-Man cereal when I was a kid (before everything went downhill) and it was amazing from what I remember, tasted literally like fruit-ish like strawberry’s and stuff. Really wish they’d bring it back for nostalgia reasons, along with those sour candy’s in a can whatever they were called😭they were so amazing
I'm loving this "let's eat something I didn't get to as a kid" thing because there are so many foods and drinks that were so interesting and wanted to try but was never able. I don't know of I'd have the guts to eat a 20-year-old cereal, but the strangest thing I've eaten is peanut butter on pepperoni. I was going through a "peanut butter phase" and wanted to try it on anything, including cooked noodles (which isn't too bad), and my mom would dip pepperoni slices in spaghetti sauce while she made lasagna so I decided to try peanut butter instead of spaghetti sauce with the pepperoni slices.
I’m so happy that he’s confident enough to be his own self on camera and send it out to the world. One of the only RUclipsrs I watch who don’t have this built up fake personality. Love you Garrett!

I definitely had a few. Some of my favorite unhinged snacks were... cold can of meatball spaghettios, a flour tortilla with strawberry yogurt and cold corn on it, or a pie I used to make with exclusively Pillsbury pie crust and the juice from inside those candy wax bottles. The last two of these I would not advise eating I was 4-5 years old when I made these. But cold can of spaghettios still hold a place in my heart.
