My outer cage just broke in the exact same way yesterday after climbing a hill on asphalt. The metal on that outer cage is way too thin imo. Looks to be 18 gauge or even 22 gauge. I wonder if the XT outer cage is any thicker

Ben ca depend ou t’essaye de le bougé, s’il est fixé sur le cadre et tu bouge le derailleur au fond de la chape, il y aurai eventuellement un peut de jeu. Tant que le jeu ne cause pas de problemo au shifting, rien de ce inquieté@@dastreak2152
@@atboy4342 well, the whole 12speed series shares the same construction principles. They only differ in what materials are used and if the clutch tension can be changed from outside. From 5100-9100 they are interchangeable.
ah my mistake. In the video description, it says, it is the same for XT and SLX. Good to know for future reference. Looks like I’ve straightened mine haha.

I could be wrong but I strongly believe, the cage on this generation is intentionally bent slightly.
