Forget the mic drop. Nancy rolls off the stage like a boss.
Yes 👏 just like a true boss. We’ve never seen anyone roll off the stage.
I bed she did it because trying to stand in that dress would have given the crowd a different show
Nancy sang the theme song to a James Bond movie, “You Only Live Twice.” It’s actually one of the better Bond theme songs.
Her voice is amazing...
Also, "Kill Bill".
I remember that song You Only Live Twice & they made an instrumental version & was played frequently back then on radio stations that played easy listening instrumental music!!
Nancy was way ahead of her time. A young Nancy would be a world sensation today !
Seriously!! Her music was a little experimental and dark for the time.. I think today she would be topping charts even more than she did then. She’s just the best.
I remember stumbling upon this song when watching kill bill for the first time, just so good!
The first thing I thought love that movie and the whistle is. My notification sound...lol
A childhood friendship gone awry... She was in love with him and was shot down by her advances without any explanations...Not even a lie. As she attends his wedding the memories of their youth, and friendship come upon her. She reminisces back to the days when they were children playing make believe on their wooden horses made of sticks. And wonders why it wasn't her, he was marrying...as all she heard were the wedding bells. She is still feeling the pain of a love that could of been, and wishes it was she marrying the boy she once knew as a child. He always won the game as a child. And has won the game as an adult too. Bang Bang she was shot down again...
Written by the late Sonny Bono... First sung by his ex-wife Cher. And done masterfully by Nancy Sinatra. This was the soundtrack in a Quentin Tarantino movie "Kill Bill." And it became a big hit once again for Nancy. Great reaction and upload.
Note: Mel, your analysis was spot on...Felling the stain of rejection that linger with her from childhood to adulthood. Was very painful to hear. This kind of feeling of holding on to being shot down, and rejected hedges on the edge of being suicidal. On the last phrase of the song she mutters: "Baby Shot me down." He wasn't her baby anymore...
Thank you so much for the breakdown. We didn’t know Sonny wrote this song. This is epic
@@ShawnandMel4Life Yes. This is an epic song. A masterpiece written by the late Sonny Bono. Thank you for your reply. Always appreciated.
Omg, that is the most excellent almost orgasmic synopsis and explanation of any form of the written word. I've I hadn't been spade already, I would offer to procreate your DNA.
I got that he left her at the altar (church bells ringing just for me indicates she was the bride).
@@jtoland2333 I agree with you. She was telling of her wedding and stopped because it ended. He left and didn’t even lie to her. That’s my understanding
That is the most heart breaking song that I have ever heard.
I feel the same way
I always loved Chers original recording of this !
Plus, Bang Bang was written by Sonny Bono & he produced Cher's original.
@@wnsafford1854 Their version was actually good. A Cowboy's Work is Never Done is a good Sonny and Cher song in the same vein.
Nancy was the original singer
@@michaeltaylor8835 Wrong! Sonny, Cher's husband and partner in Sonny and Cher, wrote the song, released in February 1966. Nancy's version was released in May '66. Sandy Posey also had a version of the song released in Feb. '66, before Nancy.
@@michaeltaylor8835 Sorry, but NO!
ANGELINA JORDAN'S rendition of this at 8 years old on Norway's Got Talent will absolutely blow you away with this Sonny Bono song written for his wife CHER.
@@michaelasay8587 google Angelina Jordan/Bang Bang on Norway's Got Talent let me know what you think
A great song, was used in Kill Bill, which brought Nancy To a whole new audience. Brilliant reaction 👏
More Nancy?? You are spoiling us!! Love it, thank you. Sharing!!
@@michaelasay8587 There's more than enough reactors to cover the bases.
You have to listen to Nancy Sinatra. Lee Hazelwood doing “ some velvet morning”
One of my faves!
Yes it’s eerily beautiful.
Some Velvet Morning is amazing!
Her two other most iconic songs are You Only Live Twice from the Bond film of the same name and These Boots Are Made For Walking. This song also got a second life from being used in the soundtrack for Quintin Tarantino's instant classic Kill Bill.
Also these boots, was used in possible one of the best movies ever. Full. Metal. Jacket. You got girlfriend Vietnam? Hahhaaa
Bang Bang !........your reaction shot me down.........😃.
This is one of my favorite songs from the kill bill sound track
I LOVE your guys reaction!! Thats precisely how i see it. Devestating heart ache!!!
Nancy was really one hell of a singer. She had a rather unique sound.
Tell me you can ever forget the guitar in this song... Billy Strange's finest performance of tremolo guitar, and one of the finest guitar riffs EVER!
I went to my urologist office, and he was playing Frank Sinatra songs. He loved Frank Sinatra. I told him that I loved his daughter's song as well. He said, "Oh, really. Is she any good? It must be the name. I told him no, really, she is very good. She was one of the most popular female singers of the 60's.
Now you must react to 8 year old Angelina Jordan version from Norway's got talent!💖🇺🇸🇨🇦😷
This was in Kill Bill movies too
@John T he really does. There’s music I listen to now just because I heard it in his movies and liked it.
One of my favorite songs ever!!! Do you hear the likeness in that song and Beyonce new song river dance?!?!?! Man... awesome artist.
You should review Nancy Sinatra dueting with Lee Hazelwood. I love “Summer Wine” which I believe was featured on a “007 James Bond” Movie. And “Lady Bird” is pretty good too. 🥰
Now you guys should react to Angelina Jordan cover of Bang Bang when she was seven at Norway Got Talent 🙏👍
Absolute classic
Great reaction❤! Now I know what Young Buck was sampling, thank you!
Sonny Bono wrote this. Terrific song.
"Music played and people sang. Just for me the church bells rang. He didn't even say goodbye..." He left her standing at the alter. How devastating!
Good song good reaction
Could u react to half breed by cher.shes on a white horse and looks so good .in this video.
I never understood it untill I watched yall.
Poor girl bang bang
Wow💃🏼
“The church bells rang for ME”, not US! He left her at the altar. Didn’t even leave a reason, a lie, or nothing! So sad!
This is another musical version of 'Wuthering Height' Cathy and Heathclffe
The sistah got it. Thank you.
Apparantly this song was done in one take. Pretty impressive
The studio version was done in one take. The above live TV version was never featured on the radio, for the studio version is way superior in all aspects.
Hi not only she was Frank Sinatra's daughter but she also was co-star n Speedway with Elvis Presley. Also Frank Sinatra's girlfriend who also played n G.I Blues also with Elvis.
Sonny Bono wrote that song for Cher. She did an up-tempo version. Frank Sinatra told Nancy to slow the song down. Much better that way.
one of the weirdly unnerving songs of the time.
You should hear her song "Kinky Love."
Love yall's reaction on this, I can't wait to check out more.
You should listen to Angelina Jordan’s version of this when she was 10 yrs old. It is awesome.
Yes on Norway's Got Talent !!!! (ruclips.net/video/HCaDyiqs7Wg/видео.html&ab_channel=TV2)
Thanks for this I’ve only ever head Cher’s version this seems better to me thanks again
@@michaelasay8587 no
Hey guys enjoy the show look into Donna summer videos she was considered the queen of disco
NS is an excellent singer.
If you want to listen the emotional version of this song, watch the Angelina Jordan's version on the Norway's Got Talent.
No. Listen to the Nancy Sinatra studio version, not the crappy poor quality live TV version above. Nothing comes close to the original.
It's been so long, but now I know who it was singing it. YES!!! Oh wait I just heard Cher also did this.
This song was from 1966 & I just remember the Cher version on am radio of the sixties because I heard her version & this is the first time I have heard Nancy's version, which is slower than Cher's version!! I love the tremolo of the electric guitar!! Cher's version had more instruments when she sang this song!!
Cher does a great rocking version of this song
Nancy version is better
Frank Sinatra also recorded this song which, due to the orchestration is much more emotional.
Just a nugget of information.
Cher also sang this song.
For comparison sake, you might consider checking out Cher's version.
You can see why Tarantino used it in Kill Bill 😎
He used the original studio version of the song, not this sonically crappy TV version.
It was wedding bells just for her.
Very, very great version.
For versatile singer Nancy's and Lee Hazelwood's version of Jackson. Very good.
She is omgreat.
The song goes from childhood ignorance and naivete to outright domestic violence that ended in her murder. Like... this song hits you in the lungs.
Guys she is related to Frank Sinatra that is her father
Never
@@anthonymitchell8893 what are you talking about that is her biological father. she also has a brother Frank Sinatra Junior
Nice
Listen to Summer Wine by Nancy, My favorite
omg!!
I don't think I ever seen anybody roll off the stage before, she did that so sexy goddamn... bam!♥️
A English band called "Audio Bully's" sampled music and video from this. It's worth a listen. The video effects a bit hypnotizing.
❤️❤️❤️
I'm weak. When he says her name. SMH, lol .
Sonny Bono wrote this song!
Rolling off the stage was the only graceful way of getting up in that short a dress.
You are right, plus how would she get off, she'd have to jump or go back down to stage level. I saw this when it originally aired, don't know about you.
Of course she'd sing tht song her daddy was a singing gangsta
Quentin Tarantino uses this song in one of his movies I think.
Play Paper Doll by The Mills Brother for a real treat. Beautiful.
Nancy sonatra is amazing but I also know this song by Cher
Nancy looks a lot my her Mom Nancy yet a lot like her Dad , I remember when her brother was kidnapped in 1963
Classic
I love the weird sounding music.
I think rumer willis remade this. Very interesting
I remember Cher singing this.
Yt is so disrespectful the way the just break into y'all's videos 😆
This is not the original recorded studio version that first came out in 1966 and was played on the radio! This is a live TV show version which is way inferior to the studio version. The studio version was used in Kill Bill as well. If you are going to react to this classic Nancy Sinatra cover of Sonny Bono's song, listen to the studio version. Sonic quality was way better as well, especially the guitar with tremolo.
Ya gotta remember her father frank Sinatra was a mobster so she grew up seeing people get offed
This is a cover of Cher's song.
But better
Try Lady Gaga's jazz version. Not bad, not bad at all!
Cher did the original of this. You should listen to that. Her version is better.
Plus, Bang Bang was written by Sonny Bono & he produced Cher's original.
Thank you we’re going to listen to it
Never
she looks like Taylor Swift
This was originally done by Sonny Cher. Cher sang it. Sonny wrote it. I prefer Cher's. This is ok though.
Of course, the studio version's better. But seeing her sing this one brings it home.
Cher sings this originally but I like Nancy's version better
Watch Kill Bill, this song goes with the movie
He left her at the alter.
Cher did this first.......That's annoying me...going back all the time....
This song was originally written by Sonny Bono for his then wife Cher to sing. Nancy Sinatra covered it at a later date. However Angelina Jordan , AKA The Barefoot Princess performed this song on Norway's Got Talent when she was just 8 years old and in my opinion did a much better job of it than either Cher or Nancy. You can find Angelina's version on her cover channel.
That only version care
The above is a crappy live TV version of the song. The studio version is way better. Nothing comes close to Nancy's voice and especially the tremolo guitar work of Billy Strange. I've listened to Angelina Jordan's version. It is good, but she does not sing the whole song either.
Beleive me I'm gonna revist this one...fo sho
Thx! Here’s Cher! m.ruclips.net/video/KfyBHZc9rK4/видео.html
The saddest country song, of course I can't remember the name. It's about a bridge and a kid, or lovers,it'll hit me like a brick in the head later.
Ode to Billie Joe by Bobbie Gentry? Mentions something being throw off the Tallahatchie Bridge.
Lady Gaga does a killer version!!
😣😣😣
Sonny and Cher covered this
The original song was written for Cher.
those fools don't know how to listen to music. pause, talking, joking, comments, move forward, move back, total mess. Just listen a damn song, fool, don't disrespect the artist who tries to tell a story and don't ruin your own first time experience
I'd like to dedicate this song to Alec Baldwin.
