Fantastic song by a great singer. There is an awesome cover version by the truly amazing young (8yrs old) singer from Norway Got Talent named Angelina Jordan.
And again Vanilla Fudge appears in the background. This version is a cover of Sonny and Cher's original song. In 1976 Vanilla Fudge did a cover of it, too. And they did it in their own special way. I once owned an old Fender Pro Reverb that could make sounds like this wth a massive spring reverb and vibrato depth near to10 of 10. This version shows Tarantino's feeling for the right music to a scene.
Nancy made such a name for herself in the sixties. Hard thing to do when everyone is judging you because your Father was so famous. I remember seeing her on the Ed Sullivan Show when I was little, and she made a big impression on me. Thanks for appreciating her story and her tone, yes, mesmerizing.
Everyone is gonna recommend Boots Are Made for Walking but here's a couple others I think you'd dig: Some Velvet Morning (duet w Lee Hazelwood) You Only Live Twice (James Bond theme)
Nancy was my first female "idol" starting at about 5 years old. I still have some of her albums today. She was an actress too and was friends and a co star of Elvis.
Interesting! I first heard the song on the radio covered by Cher. It's a great version too....with a quick step beat during the third stanza. Not certain which one was used in Kill Bill but it is indeed haunting. Thank you so much for this beautiful rendition....pure and beautiful. 😽🖤
Thanks for the share. Never saw this. She did a duet with her dad called, "Something Stupid." Some folks think it's a little creepy, but it's pretty cool IMHO. Anyway, if you get Frank in the deal it's always a win. There could be video of it.
Jack White (from the White Stripes) is in another band called the Raconteurs and they do a badass cover of this song. There are a few really great live versions going around.
Nice! Some Velvet Morning is another you would enjoy, I think. Lee Hazelwood does it with her, and he is an unsung hero in his own right. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I agree, Some Velvet Morning would definitely work for someone intrigued by this one. It's got a different kind of weirdness to it. Hazelwood wrote Boots too.
I love this song. Like Callie Davila said below this, check out These Boots Are Made For Walking...it’s a great song you would love too. My mom had the 45 which I took and hid with mine, lol and my girlfriends and I would put on our Go-Go Boots and dance to the second song I mentioned.. This was a Great reaction, and the memories Abracadabra so glad you liked it. 💫💫
Hey Bro.appreciate the reactions for lunch break again.priceless as always.you was acting like you had a itch and couldn't scratch it.lol Couldn't sit still could you. You an old soul bro.a genuine old soul. Thanks again bro.
Listen to Summer Wine by Nancy Sinatra, You won't listen to anything else for a while and you'll fall in love with her and listen to Some Velvet Morning
Hello again my friend. Since you loved the sound & playing so much check this out. these cats played on just about everything that we saw & heard in the sixcties on radio & TV.
Damn man, you made me look at that song differently after listening and watching with you! I agree, timeless! If you're interested in any southern rock, my favorite band is Lynyrd Skynyrd! With Ronnie Van Zant, before the plane crash! If you need a little pick-me-up check them out doing Free Bird live in 76 over in England opening for the Rolling Stones! Not the one from 77 in Oakland Coliseum, not that there's anything wrong with it I just like the story behind this event and how amazing it is! Peace Boogie Woogie
Real classic iconic song -- there's no other song that sounds like it. And it appears this was a live recording; although I couldn't see where the microphones were. Her voice and presence were more powerful in this -- but to fully hear what the instrumental's doing you gotta have the studio version: ruclips.net/video/OEFa4ztm9P0/видео.html
You do know that this is a cover version, "Cher" did the original version "Sonny Bono" her husband at the time wrote the song. You really should give credit where credit is due. Great reaction though.
Oh.........shit...original Bang Bang......(and I’m not even sure if this was original or just a cover.....) as always....my pre reaction to your reaction. This should be fun
BTW ...so you are far away in your musical sojourn from the song you promised a reaction for me...I release you from the promise. I am really digging the music you’re reacting to. It would break the mood you’ve naturally flowed along to react to that now. I am enjoying your journey. I grew up with this on WLS radio Chicago as well. 89 on your radio dial.
If you want to see the rest of that performance watch this clip it’s starts with the part you just saw but shows a lot more. ruclips.net/video/IJKHIzzhrFY/видео.html
Her most famous song is probably 'These boots were made for walking'
Thanks to him for reviewing this song!
Sounds like he left her at the altar..
She also had an even bigger hit with "These Boots Are Made For Walking". I remember my Mom had the 45 record to it when I was a lil kid. 😊❤️😊
This song is like smoke...it just rolls with a life of its own.
This was a “must have” record in my most housewives home at the time, along with Tammy Wynette!!
her cadence and understated delivery is insane. nice reaction :)
Indeed it is, thank you
@@abracadabra3033 want to hear another very deep and tilted song?
Check out “My Mirage” from Iron Butterfly.
Serious vibe!
Could call....very few words....and her face, here emotion, her delivery....told a story that covered years...years
Sonny and Cher version climbed higher on the charts but Nancys version is darker and more haunting which I kinda like better!
I don't think I've heard this in 40 years or better. Thank you.
Thank you
A great female artist from the 60’s was Bobbie Gentry. Her song “Ode To Billie Joe” is wonderful storytelling at its best.
Ya Ode to Billie Joe is good..
😍
A beautiful song of a sadly bye gone era. No bs just pure music
Legendary daughter of Frank Sinatra.
You have to react to these boots are made for walking of her
Thank you
Definitely next
@@abracadabra3033 if you want a fun twist, after checking Nancy’s version of it check out the metal band Megadeath doing a cover of boots. 🤘🏻🤘🏻😎

Everyone is gonna recommend Boots Are Made for Walking but here's a couple others I think you'd dig:
Some Velvet Morning (duet w Lee Hazelwood)
You Only Live Twice (James Bond theme)
I always loved this version but had no idea it was Nancy Sinatra. Bravo. Thanks.
That vibration-- so haunting. Makes a lasting impression.
She was perfect
this tune is such a mood
This in KILL BILL is one of the greatest pairings of song/movie ever....
Nancy was my first female "idol" starting at about 5 years old. I still have some of her albums today. She was an actress too and was friends and a co star of Elvis.
I'm surprised that I didn't know this song until "Kill Bill", either. It caught my ears and eyes in the movie too!
Great choice!!! And killer flick
Agreed
I didn't realize how fine she was back then, she also did a duet with her dad (Frank) called "something stupid" that I'm sure you would enjoy.
Lots of hits from Nancy at this time: You Only Live Twice, Some Velvet Morning (You'd like that one!), How Does That Grab You Darling?
Got it
Sugar Town
Summer Wine
😍
The sounds in that are amazing I remember here that when I was a kid, brilliant. It was like a western but with spunk.
I love this song; I had the album it was on. When I heard it start in Kill Bill, I thought, “Ok. Something is about to go down.”
“These boots were made for walking “ please-,🔥💜✌️
I keep forgetting, got it
She is her dads daughter for sure

Good reaction to Nancy's style, carrying herself, her voice and her hair her eyes. Same reaction I had
An awesome tune all the way around.

yeah, this great old tune, made a huge impact in the movie
Please react to Janis Joplin "Cry Baby" Just like all of her songs, she puts her soul right into your hands!!
Thank you for reminding me about Janis Joplin
She had an amazing voice

Who would’ve thought that a pop singer from the 60s would have a song like this.
Both the vocals and especially the guitar are so dark.
Angelina jordan does amazing cover of this as a 7 year old on Norway got talent.
phenomenal song btw
"U Only Live Twice" 🤙🏽😎
Mom again she had coool records
A must!!!! Is These boots are made for Walking💖✌😎 She's🔥🔥🔥😎✌

Angelina Jordan, "I Put a Spell on You"
I kept thinking it was gonna be like "I Will Survive" and start a beat up after the first verse.
Megadeth has their own version of These Boots Were Made for Walking. You might want to give that a try.
This was originally done by Cher. It was a #2 hit for her. Written by her husband Sonny. Nancy does it ok but Cher KILLS it. MUCH better. 😎🎼🎶🎶🇨🇦
