For those that can't get the Cave Creeper or the Slime to spawn, both of these require specific conditions to spawn. Using a Dragon Egg on them will strip away the requirements, and should make them work!
For Slimes, however, you need a space of at least 3 and you will also need to make sure it has AI. If you take away the AI, they spawn and float in the world, and only you can kill them. Tutorial should be out soon!
Is there any way of getting multiple dragon eggs?

You're my favorite Minecraft youtuber. Your energy is always on point. And I love the buh-byeeeeee at the end of every video lmao. On a different note, something you or anybody that watches this video can do is set up a hopper botany pot that grows potatoes or any other food that runs to a furnace and nutritional liquifier. Output that to a storage tank and use a canteen for unlimited food. But I don't even use that system anymore ever since I started building mahou using the Mahou Tsukai mod included in the pack. If you chunk load a villager spawner with a nether star and other upgrades you mentioned in this video, it will essentially allow you to never run out of hunger, health, or mana as long as you throw down a few boundary of life drains. It's cruel yet effective af :)

You can use a armory cabinet to hold all the armor and weapons you get from the mob farm, its nice because it only holds armor and weapons. Then you can pipe stuff to a salvager from silent gear to get even more items

You can use a silk touch pickaxe as well. I mined a spawner with it and i picked up the vindicator spawners in “the other” dimension
It should be noted that converting a spawner with a mob spawn egg is a vanilla feature.

Awesome video, I have been finding a way to send redstone signal wirelessly, never thought create have one of those.
Also, for your problems with all the armour and weapons, what I did was using pipez mod. When done correctly, the pipez upgrade allows you to ignore the nbt data, I just sent all the armour and weapon to a trash can.
What I did was I click on the add item to filter manually, then shift click on the item I want to filter, it should show up in the pipez filter gui, with the item name and NBT. I just copy the item name, cancel the action, click on add item again and paste the item name in and save. Now it should be able to grab the armour and weapons and ignore the nbt data.
With the advanced void upgrade, the armor all gets voided when it is set to "Void overflow." The backpack that will only have 1 of each of the armor pieces. I'm lazy and don't want to filter them out, but I might later on! lol

Hey Alfred, another way to do this is integrated dynamic's player simulator. Give it an unbreakable sword and enchant the crap out of it (even nloot pinata and higher looting) and you could get even more resources

@@AlfredGGMC with your current setup you can sit and gather the xp, then with industrial foregoing (enchantment extractor) and enough lapis you can keep cycling the same weapon through over and over until you get high enough level enchants. It's what I did

What are the best mob farmers to start with? Currently still in the "early" game. Yet to fight the enderdragon. Also what are some mob farmers later in game. I guess ranking them/priority will help me understand. Great, helpful video by the way!!
I have a plan to make a full guide on this, because this was just my playthrough video. I personally just go for the cave creeper, witch, and enderman. Those are great to start with!

had to use my dragon egg on the cave creeper spawner.... if you could show a way to farm dragon eggs that would be amazing. because I need it for the slime spawner too. I didn't know about the conditions for certain spawners
I normally use absorption Hoppers to collect everything, then pump out to where I need it to go. It always keeps up
I tried using them, and they wouldn't keep up! Maybe something was causing it to bug out? I do like having it go into a backpack though, easy to pick up!
To be fair I've never generated that many mobs 😆😆😆
Have you ever considered to use pedestal instead of mob grinders to kill mobs?
They can be enchanted with scavanger 3 to potentially get better loots from mobs and also trigger loot pianta effect from apotheosis
I think the only drawback of this plan is that the swinging speed of swords on the pedestral is fixed

@@Raysureeea The only thing I used pneumaticraft for was making a minigun. I pumped it full of air then turned away for a few seconds to tend to my crops and the BANG from behind me scared the absolute shit out of me. Minigun was fun to use though lol
Thank you so much for the idea Alfred! I was wondering, is there any way you could share your version of the modpack? - (EDIT) I figured it out! So for everyone having the same issue I was or wondering what in the world I'm talking about, what happened is I got this modpack like a year ago and didn't get far before I had to stop for life reasons. Long story short, to update your mod pack to the latest version, hover your mouse over the pack, click on the exchanging arrows, then click the drop down setting and clicj the top setting for the most recent release.
I'm always updating to the newest version, but my version only adds one mod, Better Animals Plus! I think I might have world edit as well.

Did you know there's an Apothecary mob boss in the game named after you? I killed you before I ever knew who you were.
NO WAY. I think one of the other devs for the modpack added all of the devs' names to the Apotheosis boss list, so maybe that is why lol That is so awesome! Thank you so much!

Hey, I just built your farm and it produces SO much haha. However the item transportation between the backpack and the storage drawers seems a little slow is it the same for you or do you have some kind of upgrade to speed up the transportation process? :)
I installed the ultimate pipe upgrade and now its smooth af :D
In the next episode where I go on to use the Chunk Destroyer, I end up needing 2 or 3 Ultimate Pipe Upgrades to get it all out fast enough!

The Emerald Jetpack is super easy to make! Maybe I did that in the recording before, not sure. But with this mob setup, you get pretty much all of the base vanilla mats except for Quartz.
the splitting enchantment from apotheosis doesn't seem to work in ATM 8 - it did in ATM 7 tho, do you know why the splitting enchantment doesn't work?

Unobtanium seems to spawn near the top of the islands instead of deep inside. Ironic huh?
Very nice setup. I might use that instead of the Ars jars. I wouldn't mind seeing you speed run bees. I'm not struggling but progression is slow for me I must be doing something wrong.
One thing for AE2 I wouldn't mind someone explaining is how do you fix the recipes that use items but do not consume them. Such as Engineering Press + Diamond = Engineering Circuit in the autocrafter. Then you go to make a 256k storage component and it wants to make a METRIC TON of presses. Is it possible to pass the press in the advanced inscriber and then extract it back out automatically with the auto crafter sitting against it? Another problem is with alternatives like making treated wood with a Mekanism/Thermal tank and planks.
Other than that I'd love to see someone play around with Alchemistry, Apothesis or Blue Skies. I came from 1.7/1.10 packs so learning a *cough*Whole new world*cough* as best I can. Though Alchemistry reminds me of the good ol' mod I knew as MineChem which wasn't optimized like Alchem so it lagged the server to sloth speed proportions.
I had Twilight Forest crashing me so I had to remove the mod. Anyone else experience this? Anyone know a fix or cause (Before anyone asks no mod/config changes on my end)?
EFLN is great, AFAIK you can also do close to the same thing with the Mining Gadget with upgrades. I believe you can also use the Exchanging Gadget in fuzzy mode to make large holes. I did it by using an Allthemodium pickaxe, void, magnet and feeding backpack upgrades set to small square mode because it was amazingly faster than any hammer I could theorycraft with Silent Gear.
I want to do Ars in the future! Bees are pretty fun to set up, and that will also be in a future episode. I don't know AE2 well, but check out the crafter from RFTools. I usually stick a crafter on it and set the recipe for it to craft things.
I definitely have plans for adventuring! I also covered a little bit of Apotheosis in an earlier episode. I'm not sure what happened with Twilight Forest, but I'll see if it crashes me!
The EFLN can be replaced by spells in Ars, as well. That's probably what I'll do.

I didn't know Ars had a way of doing EFLN shenenigans though. And funnily enough the same mods I mentioned someone else just started and I just found out Botania is now in the pack! So it's time to update and have even more fun myself!

Functional Storage, and the redstone thing is called the Redstone Link from the mod Create
Ironically I think vibranium is more difficult to obtain than unobtainium. You basically have to go to the other and find a pyramid to get it. I've never found it naturally in the nether
Vibranium is found between Y0 and Y20 in the Other! It's more common than Unobtainium, but not as used imo.

Synergy is just how well the materials work together, and usually has something to do with them being within the same tier when crafting a tool part. I know material mixing is disabled in ATM8 for SGear.
I know its been a few days since you uploaded this, but i just made this farm and ran into an issue. The cave creeper spawner and slime spawner do not spawn any mobs for some reason, all the other ones do. Was just wondering if you had any idea what i messed up? Would appreciate it 👍
Edit: do they need to be in a cave and a slime chunk respectively to work?
You just need to be at a certain Ylvl for the creeper, and the slime needs some specific things to spawn. I suggest on just using a Dragon Egg on both!

I've been trying to get a mob farm going but I need silk touch to get a job spawner. Hard to get silk touch and I'm not familiar with the mods enough to figure a work around
Make a cardboard box! You just need some sawdust, which can be done by making a Sawmill from either Thermal or Mek!
what kind of shaders and what settings are set to make the game so beautiful and make the ores pop out more?

It is SO beautiful. It's the shaderpack Complimentary Reimagined. There are a ton of settings to tweak, including making the ores glow.
Question I want to play a huge modpack like this one so should I start enigmatica 1.19+ version or ATM like this ??

@@jason52207 Make sure you set the void upgrade to "Void Overflow" and set it to Block instead of Allow. If you don't have everything pumping out of the backpack into a drawer, it will start voiding the overflow of the items you want! This is just for the swords/nbt items.
Great video as usual. But the GUI scale you use makes it hard to see what you’re doing when you watch on mobile. W/ how complicated things get w/ this pack it would be nice to see what items are required.
The only things that weren't mentioned was the "casing" of his spawning room. The main part is connected glass (4 glass in a 2x2 pattern) which is a nicer looking glass since we don't have Tinkers' Construction for Clear Glass. And then a 1x2 tall Ethereal Glass so players can walk through without allowing mobs passing through. I like using them on spawning rooms, my house so I don't need pressure plates, buttons, or opening doors.
If you want to pick up blocks (blocks that have right click interaction you have to hold down sneak when silk touching) there are many ways. Cardboard boxes is one way. Ars Magika has Extract and works on everything lower than Allthemodium Ore AFAIK. There are other ways such as enchantments and Mining Gadgets and many other ways but not as easy IMO.

@@Chainer00000 that’s not the point. Other creators use a larger GUI when they play because they realize a large portion of YT videos are viewed on phones. I get that it can suck paying w/ a larger GUI. But it does help for viewers who predominately watch on mobile.
This makes a lot of sense! I've always wondered why I saw other creators with big GUIs, but since this is a playthrough, I wanted to keep it more of a "for fun" kind of style instead of a full blown tutorial. I am currently making a tutorial video for this exact setup with the exact materials you'll need, etc.
@@Bob_Smith19 I understand the point you were making and while I sympathize I was not dismissing that fact. I was merely stating what wasn't explained verbally so you could build it with the blocks shown if you wanted. I don't watch on mobile most of the time however my problem is when something isn't moused over longer than 2 frames I can't read the block name in TOP or one of the many WAILA variants. Even on 0.5x speed very rarely there isn't enough frames to see what it is. So I definately understand what you were getting at. One thing I would mention is if you have trouble reading certain blocks perhaps take a screenshot and use your phones gestures to expand the screen if there is a still image you want to study, for video the only thing I can come up with if it happens too often is look into settings for YT or your phone itself, I know there used to be a function that allows you to play videos zoomed in at varying range.

@@AlfredGGMC do u copy standing outside it or need to go inside and select corner to corner or do u just copy from outside to paste onto outside of other I’ve got so close to star twice now and got corrupt saves even put me back in fresh world only kept what was in inventory all mods picaxe/sword and time in a bottle kept my nether back pack but it delete everything tried carryin on done lot stuff to find out dragon doesn’t spawn nor does nether portal do u kno a fix for that to get dragon read somewhere u can type in a command to get dragon to spawn.
@@TROZJAN I copied it from inside. Also, that sucks to hear! The pack makes backups in your simplebackup folder! Make sure to check out your previous saves and backups from there in case it happens again!
@AlfredGGMC did you ever run into a problem where a cave creeper spawner didn't spawn any cave creepers in your farm? For that matter if any of the spawners did that? My Slime and Cave Creeper spawners don't spawn anything despite using a nether star on it and i have no clue why.
They have specific rules for spawning! Use a dragon egg on them!
Better Animals Plus is not in atm8, and I'm worried about conflicts. Do you have a link to the full mod list you use/custom profile?
I only added BetterAnimals because Body chose to be a Moose! lol I disabled all of the animal spawns so it wasn't part of the pack, aside from having him as my sidekick.
whats pipes are you using and how do you get them to work? i can get them to send from backpack
I'm using a Universal Pipe so that it transfers both items and liquid XP out.

My storage controller is only moving 4 items at a time to the storage drawers? Is distance an issue. Or is it something else?
Maybe I'm just dumb, but how is the armor staying in the backpack to actually utilize the void overflow? When I try, it just sends all of the armor/tools into the empty spots in my drawers

Locking the drawers first is important! I have done this too many times. You can also just send them into an Armory Cabinet!
I'm playing ATM8 and trying to follow along with the series. I do not have a "mob drops" tab in my JEI. Is there a setting i'm missing or did you add anything to the modpack? You kind of cut out getting to that tab directly so maybe i'm just missing something thats glaringly obvious.
If you hit R on redstone, you should be able to scroll through the tabs at the top until you see a little creeper with like a sword kinda thing? That's the mob drop tab, but if you don't have that, I'm not sure what would cause it not to show.
@@AlfredGGMC Yeah the server admin and I have been going over the Googles for two days now. Best we can come up with is people say it doesn't work right on a server. But other than that we are lost for reasons. Not getting world gen stats for ores and things either. But I don't know if its related.

If you're on a server, you might not be able to see them. This is a known bug with JEI :(
How do i put the spawn egg into the spawner? Does it have to be a silk touched spawner with something in it or a broken spawner? THX
It should be a functional spawner, and you can get them using either a silk touch pickaxe or using a cardboard box on it to pick it up. Broken Spawners are repaired using Spirit.
My advanced void upgrade isnt work my a back pack keep fill up with items like swords and armour
I cant get the backpack to pick up the items, even with the advanced pickup upgrade. Any ideas?

I can't figure out how to get the Cave Creepers to spawn. I was testing it out in a creative world, and short of adding a Dragon Egg, the Cave creepers won't spawn.
I have it modified to ignore light, ignore players, and redstone control, but it just spins and never actually spawns one.
I tried putting down cobble, stone, and even a section of the mob conveyors Alfred uses. No Luck.
Are you above ground? Cave Creepers only spawn below a certain Y-lvl, which is why the Dragon Eggs work!
@@AlfredGGMC Looks like that was it. I dropped the spawner to about Y-63 and it started working.
im not getting ANY slime to spawn... there arent height requirements on here are there? The only thing I really set up different was the bottom doesn't have blocks (under the spawners)
Each mob has specific requirements for spawning. Slimes need at least 3 spaces in each direction to spawn, and I believe they need to be in a slime chunk, but I could be wrong about that. Giving it a dragon egg will fix all of that.

My cave creepers and slimes aren't spawning. Ive basically maxed their upgrades including the nether stars. The fire is on inside the cage so I know the spawner is turned on. Why aren't they spawning? All my other spawners work fine. Could it be too many spawners? I have 8 total
I figured it out. I needed to add a dragon egg to it
The dragon egg removes the "conditions" on the spawner. Cave Creepers can only be spawned at a lower Y lvl, and Slimes need at least 3 spaces to be able to spawn. Using an egg makes it ignore all of that!
How much ram do you use? I can’t even play and I have 10gb of allocated ram
I have 10gb allocated. MC is very much CPU dependent, and with shaders, it adds even more strain for the GPU. For reference, I have a Ryzen 9 3900x for my CPU, and a 3080 for my GPU.

for some reason the spawners i made with a spawn egg won't spawn anything. but the ones i picked up do. placed in the same area with ignore light put into it. not sure if anyone else is having this issue or not. hopefully an easy fix
Sounds like it's an issue of needing certain conditions! Try giving it a Dragon Egg!

I personally use a backpack with a magnet upgrade in it, but you can make something called an absorption hopper to start with.

Why not use sophisticated storage chests instead of the backpacks
I thought I might have explained this, but mainly because you get way more use out of a backpack. The stack upgrades are more expensive, but the backpack gets more upgrade slots, and can even use the Tank upgrade for experience!

A spawner can be broken with a silk touch pick, no need for cardboard boxes :)
The easiest way is probably getting the spell book from ars with an extract glyph from the inscription table (only requires an emerald)
How do you get the loot out?
The loot drops on to the floor, then it is picked up by the backpack. The backpack then has a pipe attached that pulls out items into a storage controller, which is connected to a wall of drawers. It will only pump out items that have a spot in the drawer system, and the rest will stay in the bag. If it goes over 1 stack, it will void the extra stacks.
What are the dimensions of the mob far is it 9x9x11?
or is it 18 blocks high?
It is completely customizable by you. You choose how many spawners tall you want to make it, as long as you leave a 3 block gap from the bottom spawner and the floor, and make sure there is nothing they can stand on along the way (create a pillar).

Cardboard boxes! Just find any dungeon and place the box on it, then break the box!

could you confirm that in the newest version atm 1.0.8 its not possible to make swift alloy ingots from elementalcraft if you are willing to start with that mod? You need some for the atm star...
What mob is dropping diamonds? I've checked JEI and according to it none of the mobs drop them? -EDIT- I think the issue is my JEI wont show mob drops... No idea how to enable it to do so

Are you above ground? They need to be at a lower Y lvl to work.
Speed run and upload the VODs. Maybe give yourself a rule that makes it more challenging. Only magic mods. Only tech. Only in compact machines???!!

Dude yeah like give yourself 3 X 3 chunks y 340 to -64 and farms or resource generation has to happen in those areas - compact machines become preferred. You can venture out but no portable grid everything outside 3x3 has to be manually carried back. Other dimensions can have different rules like maybe 9x9 chunks or nearest structures using a compass. I’m just spitballing but now I’m excited 😜

For whatever reason, it doesn't work in multiplayer. There also seems to be a bug sometimes in SP, but it typically works there.

I'm also in a singleplayer world! If you hit M, there is a map where you can claim chunks. Left clicking will claim the chunk, and shift left-clicking "force loads" the chunk.
So my slime spawner wont spawn slimes
Make sure to not hit it with chorus fruit (no ai) and also make sure it has a spawn range of 3 and the space for it.
