Natalie Goldsmith here! Thank you for answering my question Daniel! I honestly never thought about children's books in German for some reason before, yet when I was learning Japanese I read a ton of them... haha. German is way harder though but I'm not giving up!

Your personality is always fun to watch and your passion for your craft inspires me as a fellow musician :D Thanks also for answering my question about screaming, your answer is helpful! About a year ago, a friend tried teaching me how to scream properly, and the techniques he gave me sounded like the ones from my vocal coach, so I guess I should get serious about looking for regular voice lessons again. Side note, my last name sounds like the last three syllables in "alcoholic" X3

Thankyou for posting this video, makes me so happy about the empathy book you are reading atm. Ive said for years I dont believe in sympathy or empathy because everyone is going through something and you cant feel bad for everyone because then thats meaningless. In return people think im Heartless.

That was a fun and informative AMA. As someone who works in finance - you probably got a better accounting education running your own business than you would have at college. Real world experience > book knowledge. And less expensive.
You're probably right. Experience really *is* the best way to learn.
Book knowledge--which can be obtained for free on the internet now--and real world experience > real world experience.

I'm making a video on what industrial pop is. It's about my lifelong influences and how that relates to where I'm at now. I like all musical genres but I mostly listen to pop, hip hop and metal.

You're funny yet inspirational! Who cares about empathy when it can feel like a curse when it's had? Just because you aren't an empath, it doesn't mean you can't read about it! Huhhh? I'm 2 yrs late...but, have u ever had an atendee have a seizure at a show? I have epilepsy now, and I actually started to have a crazy one at a Covenant/Front 242 show. By crazy, I mean, a temporal lobe seizure...they look different...I couldn't focus or stand, & was pretty sure the devil was there...(u hallucinate with the temporal ones, often.) I had good ppl with me, and emergency meds...but, just curious if u have had to stop a show for someone in a medical crisis...thanx💖🎵🎵😂

I agree about the gin, its nasty, and if i can add Jim Beam tastes like bug spray. Ive had pineapple on pizza, but i honestly can say the first two are more gross. but hey like youre song elements, We Will Never Be The Same Because It's The Elements That Make Us Who We Are :)

In my experience, the majority of people who only scream (and never bothered to learn how to sing) either do it wrong, or end up having a longer and more difficult road. Distortion is an effect, not a fundamental mode / gear / technique, whatever word you wanna use...I think of it like buying guitar pedals when you don't own a guitar.

wow, very interesting. Could you ever share some logic project to learn how to set up a live session ?, I have Mainstage but I find that it is a very tangled software. When you re-made the album "Blood Spills Not Far From The Wound", did you do it in logic too? Spilling blood is my favorite, by the way. It inspires me. Thanks again Daniel.
Everything from A Violent Emotion to now is done in Logic. The only thing I've released that wasn't was my 3TEETH remix which I did while trying to learn Reason. But I didn't enjoy working in Reason so I moved on. Live projects are nothing special. Stereo playback tracks, click tracks and some background noises. I don't like complicated live setups because they always crash. Keep it simple.
How do you make sure you do not have live crashes? on the laptop ram? how much do you use? I take this question as you are answering everything in a spectacular way, you appreciate that, what is your favorite plugin to make the bass in your songs? Last one before I head off: Crashes happen. You can't prevent them 100%. However, if you keep your projects small, they will be stable. Bass should never be anything other than a clean sine wave. Complicated bass = muddy mixes. Best of luck!

Yeah I hear you. The shipping costs suck but there's no way around it. I'm just a small business. Foreign merchants don't import my stuff.Hell, I can't even get my band merchandise into stores. The sad fact is: Until thousands of people are buying my shirts, there's just no chance of them ever getting picked up for distribution. Glad you dig the design, tho!

A Nice Place to Visit is about whatever you think it's about. And I think All Beauty Destroyed is one of my strongest compositions. I'm also particularly proud of Showtime.

If you like a hoppy beer like an IPA then you'll like a gin and tonic. Graves is a vodka fan. I've had many of both and each has their merits. A vodka martini can be sublime.
Please don't let my hatred for it influence your willingness to try new things. Try it. If it sucks, then you know for sure. Otherwise you're just trusting some dumbass on the internet (me). ;)
How knows maybe one day, but I meh. I was like that with vodka, I do not like it, tequila is better.
My favorite drinks are beer and if I am tired beer+ guarana (energetic drink but not too much of it) or vinjak (that is something like bourbon, but tastier) and guarana. I do not recommend drinking this...even if it is good and it is good...XD
