    I like how you say you dont lie, but honestly you are, and its fine. The thing is you hold yourself accountable and learn from the experience. In the land of sales, this goes a long way. It's important to learn on your feet. I've always made it clear that I would break even by 6 months to my client, and this I do.

    Wow, that college course sounds cool! Good to know unis are offering more practical and a wider variety of courses these days.
    Been a follower for a while now and watching this while working from home at 3am. 😅 Also inclined towards the same niche and mostly anything about graphic design and video editing. Honestly surprised you have no prior experience since your vlogs look really fun and well put together. Style is super cute!
    Also admire your articulation and that makes your vlogs more fun to watch. Apartment looks so much better now too, btw!

    Hi! Thank you for sharing your experience on your career journey I watched your day in a life as a VA then na reccommend ito. Mas namangha ako tuloy sa resume mo kasi nahihirapan ako sa mga ilalagay kong skills & internship dahil di masyadong active yung napag-intern ko.
    Question, do you recommend putting skills first kapag wala pang work experience or konti natutunan sa internship and what's the best site to use saving your portfolios? (perferably writing)
    In video editing, what software do you use? VSDC and Capcut ang ginagamit kong softwares at mas nasanay ako kasi nahihinayang pa rin ako sa mga Proficiency in Adobe sa mga job description at yung dalawa ang madalas kong nagamit sa college journey ko.

      Ikr!! It’s a bit hard to explain these new online roles to other people since it’s the first time I’ve heard of them too 😅
      Also so cool though how all these new roles are getting created. So much skill & experience to explore in different industries.

    Hello ate, from gensan here. Paunsa ba maging fluent sa english? huhu. I hope you'll see my comment T_T . Wanted to be graphic designer too someday. I'm still learning things by myself hehe

    • @isle_lee
      @isle_lee  3 месяца назад +1

      I think watching Western movies and tv shows def help! Mimicking how the characters speak in the scenes or even picking up phrases that sound nice.
      I grew up abroad so English was my first language (I guess that’s my cheat code 😅). But I still stick through the consumption of Western content + mimicking sounds as a good strategy for developing fluency in the English language.

    Hi, how would you know if the one reaching out for you has a legit job offer?

    • @isle_lee
      @isle_lee  9 месяцев назад

      Hi, I usually just go with my intuition 😅 But here are some things I take note of to avoid scam emails:
      - The email address. Usually legit companies have personalized emails for their employees. Entrepreneurs have formal emails as well.
      - Body of the email. Whether if it’s an inquiry or a job offer, read the message properly and decide for yourself.
      - Most of the time, I google search the sender to see if their name or company pops up and get a grasp if they have some legitimacy to them.
      Otherwise, feel free to research on this topic. I’m sure there are tons of helpful resources regarding this.

    How about pricing?

    • @isle_lee
      @isle_lee  11 месяцев назад

      In my VA/admin jobs, I didn’t have to haggle my salary since I was a beginner and these were corporate job openings that already had their budget set. In my opinion though, international companies have better pay (PHP 15k+ starting. I believe the PH usually starts at PHP 9-12k) *These are just from my observations
      However, as a video editor, it varied. First gig was full time and the job application asked for my asking rate. In the end, they actually settled for what I had asked for.
      For my second gig, it started out as a package deal of 4 videos for a client so we haggled on a price that we were both happy with. Not so open to sharing my rates/finance-wise but I feel like the creative jobs I dealt with so far have more flexible and better pay.
