Seriously! That passive is so underrated when leveling up talents. His passive has come in clutch so many times when I just need an extra book or even a couple books
his dmg reduction is actually higher then 24%, he gets 20% to 29% depending on his E level + 20% of hydro dmg converts into additonal reduction (up to 24% max) so maximum he can get is 29+24%= 53% thats more then half of incoming dmg mitigated u can check this even if this video when he showcases the interuption resistance first instance he gets hit for 12.8k second for 6.4k thats 50% dmg gone
First instance is 8576 damage from the lawachurl slam, second with rainswords was 4946. (1 - (4946/8576)) x 100 = 42.3% damage reduction. He gets 29% at talent level 10+, and then for EoSF users he typically has 66.6% Hydro DMG bonus from his passive talent and goblet, which confers an additional 66.6/5 = 13.3% damage reduction, leading to 29% + 13.3% = 42.3% as seen in the video. Basically 50%+ is generally unrealistic, but still you get a massive amount of damage reduction that can also make even weak shields feel tanky

I think the climax of the genshin impact story will be when we find out that Xingqiu and Bennett being so powerful is because they were originally the Unknown God before a spell was cast that split it into 2 different souls and bodies, lol. Rumor has it that Bennett and Xingqiu might be the real heroes of the war after all the archons were beat somehow by the Abyss Order and then put in some form of cryo sleep where they forgot their memories. Or maybe we can't find the Unknown God because Xingqiu ad Bennett whooped his ass a while ago, hahahaha.
The thing that somewhat sucks too is that many are saying Yelan will be 5* Xinqiu, when even that's not fully the case as far as we know. She fulfils the off field hydro application role in a way that is similar to xinqiu. I don't think she will provide healing, or knockback resistance.
agreed although more characters nowadays come with their own "super armor" for their dps phase like ayato having some on his skill and ei/itto on their burst yelan is mostly raw damage bonus i think iirc from the stuff i've heard
my only problem for yelan is that for her damage boost you need to trigger her sub dps by doing normal attack, and increase the percentage over time. the problem is for raiden, most of her burst damage comes from initial slash, while yelan biggest damage boost occur during the end of raiden burst.
Up to 53% DMG reduction is just insane. And having 42,3% already as a base line with his passive and hydro cup. Like Beidou max DMG reduction is only 37%

Just put Beidou + Xingqiu + Jean C6 and you take no damage and still heals the team from corrosion, this seems like an accidental thing made by Hoyoverse I suppose. 😅

God, this just made miss the excitement of pulling 4 stars in 1.0. Some truly strong characters. The irony is, I didn't even realize how good they were at the time.. I really do hope we get like a batch of 4 stars added at some point, but I'm probably dreaming. As much as I appreciate the relative balance of the new characters, it's sometimes frustrating. It feels at times they're too afriad of power creep, or accidentally releasing too powerful a unit. Imagine if Thoma had been a 1.0 character.. like his utility/damage is just so lacking (relatively). Oh well
Relatable. I remember getting over excited when I got Fischl and Bennett. YunJin was probably the only new 4* I get excited about. I just went "Oh a 4*, cool" For the rest lol.
Here is a funny story if someone is interested. In the last abyss I wanted to make a freeze team with my Ayaka and thought to pair her with xinqiu. I easily got to chamber 3 but kinda struggled against the heralds and didn’t understand the reason. I had 2 cryo characters in the team and almost 2min left. After couple tries, better rotations and a bit of luck got the 36 stars. Then I checked the stats on my characters and noticed I had a lv20 sac sword on my xinqiu. I basically have beaten the abyss with a lv20 weapon on xinqiu. That’s how broken He is. And he is not even c6.

Why would you level your talents if you only need the hydro application. Because he deals so much dmg. And btw the sac sword is r1 I recently got it. That’s why it is still lv20. It's too bad that xingqiu is the ONLY good 4-STAR hydro character and I'm still looking forward for new 4* units that's hydro. 80% of hydro characters are 5-star characters (which you'll have to pay or be lucky to get it) and you know how often you'll use that element in teams like national/vaporise, freeze, and taser. But with all that, I'm still gonna have to skip yelan because I really want kazuha for his character and team capabilities. I guess I'll wait for her rerun maybe.
Tbf the only other 4* Hydro is Barbara, and even then she also has a niche in Taser teams and breaking Pyro shields. Shows how good Hydro is as an element. Edit: oh and also she's a low investment support and can hold the TTDS as well

And you haven't even mentioned his C6 (surprisingly easily obtainable for F2P, since he is a day 1 character with regular rate ups and Paimon shop rotation), which is another pure damage multiplier (more sword attacks on average per salvo = more damage), and the extra energy allows him to use an ATK% sands instead of Energy Recharge, which is another significant bonus.

this video is the whole reason why i say yelan doesn't bring almost anything to the table apart from her dmg bonus and dmg in general while xingqiu provides res shred dmg reduction and a heal.
Problem is, those benefits becomes redundant since you can just run Zhongli or other Shield characters. The Utility of Xingqiu is only noticeable if you have no shield on the team.
Having both of them means you can run Hutao-Xingqiu and Raiden-Yelan national at the same time. Fortunately, the national team has Bennett as the healer and Raiden has built-in interruption resistance, so it's good.
Its nice to see that Yelan isn't just a power creep version of Xingqui as they both have separate uses other than their similar method of applying hydro.
XQ is the only double crowned character I have so far (yes I try to max support before giving the second crowns to my DPS). I used him with every DPS I got (Xiao, Keqing, Diluc, Raiden, Ganyu and finally Ayato) He help everyone even the ones he don’t really synergies with. From the added damage, some nukes, increase survivability or enabling them. My latest abyss team was (Vergil team with C6 XQ, harbinger of dawn Ayato, C4 Yunjin and C6 healer sucrose) finally hydro resonance is needed XD. I don’t think Yelan will be as broken as he is cause the defensive aspect of his kit is replaced by offensive ones. So yeah if you have a healer in the team Yelan will be your girl if not then back to the hydro archon Xingqui
xingqiu e have 1144.% at 13 and his q have 6900% and with c 2 and 20% hydro he have 8200% dmg and he have 41% dmg red for must player and 53% at max making him best support for shield a and he make shield stronger by 67% i think at 41% dmg red and 100% at 50% dmg red
Agree with the video. Xinqiu is probably the unit I utilize the most in different teams. Now just a clarification: Xinqiu is not the only character that has been nerfed in Genshin. Fischl was also nerfed when they 'fixed' his interaction where Oz was creating extra particles. This change was huge as players were abusing this to create turbo teams. Both Xinqiu and Fischl fixes were considered bugs, so if one is considered a nerf the other too
Xingqu makes me think twice about pulling for Yelan. Knowing Hoyoverse they're too afraid of making another broken character. (If it's broken it's probably by accident/mistake) I really like Yelan but Xingqu is way too good and after the Nerf a lot of people planning to skip her. Since we all get free Xingqu from the event

Damage wise Yelan is better than Xingqiu but Yelans hydro app at C0 way worse than Xingqiu. It gets better when shes at c2 and having 2nd Xingqiu is always good for some people

Since Yelan is delayed we should appreciate our water boi more Honestly this reminds me of genshin math guy video about the water wielding sword flailing Xinqiu lol, I miss those guys, they are the one who guide me to beat abyss for the first time by investing into national. Anyway, I love Xinqiu but I really need AOE water applicator other than Mona and not Kokomi. I was kinda hyped for Ayato but I didn't get him and even if I do his performance isn't quite what I want, I hope after Yelan we get AOE hydro applicator that spec more into consistent off field hydro that is not static like Kokomi or very low application or take too much field time like Ayato or Childe Raiden charge damage is great and the AOE is pretty wide, while Xiangling spin around in quite a decent radius but Xinqiu could only target one enemy at a time is the biggest bottleneck, Rational is insane on single target but Xinqiu limit the power of the team against mob or anything that require AOE and no other character fit the bill yet. sadge.
Some people think Xingqiu only applies hydro off-field, which bothers me so much. Xingqiu is so good and one of the few characters where I feel like, if you're not using him, you're actively griefing yourself (the others being Bennett and Kazuha/Sucrose)
I really want another outfit for Xingqiu. He's a must-use character with a shitty outfit. It's actually the only reason I'm pulling for Yelan, since I can already 36* abyss

@@kieragard abyss usage rate is a bad metric. it only takes in to account people that have kokomi and use kokomi. edit: wanted to elaborate more. take 100 genshin players and all of them have kaeya ,but only 5 of them use kaeya in abyss. kaeya abyss usage rate is 5% (5 use him, 100 own him, 5/100). now say 5 of the 100 genshin players have kokomi and also use kokomi in abyss. kokomi abyss usage rate is 100% (5 use her, 5 own her, 5/5).
I got my Xingqiu at C2 and even before he was that, he's just so good. I love pairing him with my Diluc for Vape or Chongyun for Freeze. He's just so versatile. All I truly need in my team is Bennett. He's all I'm missing in order to make my Diluc so much stronger ;-;

Corrections: raiden is not immune to “all” form of cc from the enemies, there’s still freeze (I think). U forgot to mention that his water swords orbiting around passively apply hydro to close enemies like Barbara skill and the u get fucking frozen every single time u use his E, that’s the law :madge:
barely I got frozen by having bennett on my team as well, and the overloading trick doesn't work on shogun eternity state (besides the immunity to electro-charged)
this is why in my humble opinion rational is "stronger" than international childe, the team is so tanky and making pretty short rotations without funneling, the lower raw dmg output is mitigated by the constant dots of dmg of rational (including bunch of reactions)
I do agree that Xingqiu is probably the most versatile Hydro character in the game by virtue of being able to be used anywhere through enabling important reactions like freeze, vape, electro-charged, overvaped, and etc. However upon closer examination, I notice that Xingqiu actually becomes more niche now with the release of newer hydro characters: - Xiangling generally wants Childe because he enables good ST as well as great AOE Vapes. - Raiden's best team, Raiden Hyper, rarely uses Xingqiu because you want someone to buff Raiden's raw damage rather than enable Raiden hersef. You kind of want to bring Xingqiu with her in cases like this abyss, where you would want to destroy abyss Herald shields fast. - For freeze, units like Ayaka or Ganyu generally would want Mona or Kokomi for AOE Hydro application from their deployables. Like Raiden, you would want to buff stack as much as possible instead of simply providing damage. With the release of these types of units, Xingqiu now only has usage on characters who depend on normal attacks like Hu Tao or Sucrose Tazer. He's still broken no doubt but he no longer isn't the BiS on all units and scarily enough can actually get benched. Hopefully Sumeru will be able to provide units that requires him to be someone's BiS one day for those who do not play Hu Tao, Yoimiya, Diluc, or any normal attacking Pyro carry. One one hand through it's kind of beneficial that more units are slowly not being tied by Bennett or Xingqiu so that other supports can shine and so that team building isn't a hassle.
Tho he's not really BiS for anyone anymore except like hu tao but what makes him great is that he performs great in any team like electro-charge, Freeze , Vape Whereas characters like Childe are better than him in vape he's not really as good in like freeze and electro-charge.
Let me tell you just one reason why Xinque will not be a niche character to majority of players even with newer hydro characters: He is 4* and free while Kokomi, Childe, Mona, and even upcoming Yelan is 5*. That's all.
Raiden hyper is Raiden herself’s best team (for her damage) but not HER best team in team in terms of actual team damage. Raiden national blows raiden hyper out of the water, at least C0. Also, Xiangling doesn’t want Childe. CHILDE wants Xiangling, big diff
@@ballstomper6756 Actually there's a calcs that state that raiden hyper have higher overall dps overtime compared to raiden national, even with C0 raiden and C6 fischl because raiden hyper have shorter rotation compared to raiden national, but tbh the difference is insignificant so it doesn't matter. Also it's correct that xianling wants childe, because she NEEDS enabler aka hydro applicator for her to constantly vape.
Also one thing is his Q follows your character unlike say Bennett w/ limited AoE that can sometimes have counter synergy on some characters or against some very mobile enemies

You talked a lot about Sac Sword Xingqiu, but how does it exactly compare and contrast with an equal refined Favonius Sword? Furthermore, for Raiden National where Raiden helps battery XQ, swapping to Lion’s Roar seems to be the better option, but how much ER would you need then to rotate relatively comfy? Also aside from Vape teams, what other teams would you potentially prefer to use him in over other options? In case, we ever get a 5* XQ and want to use 2 XQ Suske
Sac sword gives more energy and damage, but fav sword is not a bad alternative for him. For raiden national, i suggest you check his video on raiden national or xingqiu video on zyox channel, but as far as i remember he can run with around 150% ER so lions roar is generally best 4 star option. Other team that prefer to use him over other option aside from vape are taser team, especially taser sucrose xingqiu beidou fischl.
I dont upgrade Fav sword but I have Fav Lance on Yunjin and here is the comparison: - Xingqiu 80 cost, 180% er, 80% proc Sac passive, get Q back in 1 E with passive proc (means twice E). - Yunjin 60 cost, 220% er, 100% pro passive, cannot get Q back with 1 E even with passive proc.
Sac sword is amazing on XQ because his E deal tons of dmg especially at C4. Fav sword is your answear if your team need universal battery for whatever reason, as example if you run hu tao vap with thoma or tank fei, it's better to use fav sword on XQ in case your thoma lack on ER, because you will use crit build on XQ anyway, not on sucrose/ kazuha, or thoma
Personal Damage wise Sac XQ trumps fav Xq but total team damage can depends on how much dps does the rest of the team contribute to make up for Xq's shorter field time
Bennet, Xinqui, Diona, Sucrose they are Godly supports. I just wish they add Constellation on/off switch for bennet c6. Then I bet he will break all meta charts with mistsplitter.
The best team for Ayato in my account is with Xinqiu, Bennett and Kazuha. The single and multi target damage is actually so good! I can finish the Primo Geovishap in a single Ayato e-skill infusion and can't get knocked around because of Xinqiu's interruption resistance, healing, damage etc. And he batteries Ayato as well with sac sword! Talk about irreplaceable utility

One of my favourite teams in theory is Bennett Xingqiu Amber Sucrose because you can run Bennett as a typical vape carry and every rotation set up a Xingqiu quadruple vape E with amber's burst with sac sword since amber's burst has the strongest pyro aura in the game. It only becomes finicky because Xingqiu's collision application.
I always thought that Xingqiu was even more broken than Bennett. My Hu Tao or Ayaka can work perfectly without Bennett, but they can't do anything without Xingqiu.
I used Xingqiu with Beidou in one team and now with Raiden Shougun and Ayaka. He's actually always in my team, because I can't play without him. I don't even want to pull for Yelan anymore, because of him. 😅 And he's only C2 atm.
It was once a upon a time, though if you've followed TenTen recently his current stance is that International is the most broken (the Childe and Kazuha variant) in general, and in some situations Rational has the potential to pull ahead. National is still a strong comp though.
I don't like the work 'broken' in it's game usage. Bennet, XQ and XL set the standard of what a really good 4* is. Strong, flexible, with a lot of options. While recent 4*s do only one thing and are barely better than alternatives in one very small niche, and mediocre/useless otherwise.
I think the word broken just lost it's meaning overtime because everybody slaps the label broken on everything. But i still kinda agree that character like bennett, xiangling, and xingqiu are kinda broken because back then they don't know how to balance their game so they accidentally make those 3 so strong.

I remember how people compare c0 kazuha to c6 sucrose. And yeah, people skipped Kazuha because he's just an "expensive" sucrose, and now people who skipped him are begging for his rerun. It will also be the same with yelan. And I would dare say, yelan will outperform Xq in the long run tbh.

Yea, the defensive utility really overlooked a lot by the community. Why people play raiden national instead of childe international? Because on top of raiden being uninterruptible, xingqiu also cut 50% of damage, so no accidental vape/melt from bennet self pyro application can ever kill her. The comfy aspect of putting him in a team is really underestimated. And why i think hu tao will still be paired with xingqiu after yelan release is precisely because so you don't need extra safety net when playing her. 50% damage reduction is massive man
The only teams where I use XQ over any other chara is with Hu tao and Raiden national. in any other team (that I can think of ofc) is a loss on dps even with my 6/12/12 XQ with good artifects (70/170 EoSF sac sword/lion's roar on raiden national) and actually waiting to the next patch (sadly delayed) for yelan to use her on raiden national. Sadly i probably won't be able to use her with hu tao tho... Don't take me wrong he is really useful for a lot of things but I don't need someone to do all those things and usually there is already someone else doing 1 of those things better for the team that I need
They probably won't because they're newbies' even light spender's main resource. Though they may design new character with kits that can't synergize well with them

First instance is 8576 damage from the lawachurl slam, second with rainswords was 4946. (1 - (4946/8576)) x 100 = 42.3% damage reduction. He gets 29% at talent level 10+, and then for EoSF users he typically has 66.6% Hydro DMG bonus from his passive talent and goblet, which confers an additional 66.6/5 = 13.3% damage reduction, leading to 29% + 13.3% = 42.3% as seen in the video. Basically 50%+ is generally unrealistic, but still you get a massive amount of damage reduction that can also make even weak shields feel tanky
@@waybeyondblue_1532 That little extra DMG reduction is the reason I run 2p HoD + 2p NO on him. Plus, rebuilding him on 4p EoSF is low on my list of priorities, way under building Xiangling, Beidou and Raiden whom I had yet to build when the EoSF domain dropped.

I think the climax of the genshin impact story will be when we find out that Xingqiu and Bennett being so powerful is because they were originally the Unknown God before a spell was cast that split it into 2 different souls and bodies, lol. Rumor has it that Bennett and Xingqiu might be the real heroes of the war after all the archons were beat somehow by the Abyss Order and then put in some form of cryo sleep where they forgot their memories. Or maybe we can't find the Unknown God because Xingqiu ad Bennett whooped his ass a while ago, hahahaha.

The thing that somewhat sucks too is that many are saying Yelan will be 5* Xinqiu, when even that's not fully the case as far as we know. She fulfils the off field hydro application role in a way that is similar to xinqiu. I don't think she will provide healing, or knockback resistance.
The knockback and healing are generally good only in taser comps or maybe zhongli less hu tao. Rational and freeze have cc and infinite poise.

she doesnt have utility like xq, but her dps is wayyyy better than xingqiu. and you know how important dps is in this game.
She has more personal damage (20-30% more damage) + damage buff as a tradeoff
my only problem for yelan is that for her damage boost you need to trigger her sub dps by doing normal attack, and increase the percentage over time.
the problem is for raiden, most of her burst damage comes from initial slash, while yelan biggest damage boost occur during the end of raiden burst.

I recently got interested in him and built him properly and suddenly I can 36 star abyss. I don't play for meta so that was very nice.
Up to 53% DMG reduction is just insane.
And having 42,3% already as a base line with his passive and hydro cup.
Like Beidou max DMG reduction is only 37%
And that is why sucrose taser with Both Xq+Beidou dmg reduction stacking doesn't need any healers as you dont take much dmg at all

Just put Beidou + Xingqiu + Jean C6 and you take no damage and still heals the team from corrosion, this seems like an accidental thing made by Hoyoverse I suppose. 😅

God, this just made miss the excitement of pulling 4 stars in 1.0. Some truly strong characters. The irony is, I didn't even realize how good they were at the time.. I really do hope we get like a batch of 4 stars added at some point, but I'm probably dreaming.
As much as I appreciate the relative balance of the new characters, it's sometimes frustrating. It feels at times they're too afriad of power creep, or accidentally releasing too powerful a unit. Imagine if Thoma had been a 1.0 character.. like his utility/damage is just so lacking (relatively). Oh well

Here is a funny story if someone is interested. In the last abyss I wanted to make a freeze team with my Ayaka and thought to pair her with xinqiu. I easily got to chamber 3 but kinda struggled against the heralds and didn’t understand the reason. I had 2 cryo characters in the team and almost 2min left. After couple tries, better rotations and a bit of luck got the 36 stars. Then I checked the stats on my characters and noticed I had a lv20 sac sword on my xinqiu. I basically have beaten the abyss with a lv20 weapon on xinqiu. That’s how broken He is. And he is not even c6.
My Raiden, Xiangling and sucrose all run lvl 20 weapons lol

I've cleared abyss with Ayaka with 0 Artifacts and a lvl 50 dullblade. Honestly Supports kinda slap harder than DPS units in the game :'(
He is so broken even as 4*, that even upcoming 5* hydro subdps feels subpar.
It's too bad that xingqiu is the ONLY good 4-STAR hydro character and I'm still looking forward for new 4* units that's hydro. 80% of hydro characters are 5-star characters (which you'll have to pay or be lucky to get it) and you know how often you'll use that element in teams like national/vaporise, freeze, and taser.
But with all that, I'm still gonna have to skip yelan because I really want kazuha for his character and team capabilities. I guess I'll wait for her rerun maybe.
Tbf the only other 4* Hydro is Barbara, and even then she also has a niche in Taser teams and breaking Pyro shields. Shows how good Hydro is as an element.

And you haven't even mentioned his C6 (surprisingly easily obtainable for F2P, since he is a day 1 character with regular rate ups and Paimon shop rotation), which is another pure damage multiplier (more sword attacks on average per salvo = more damage), and the extra energy allows him to use an ATK% sands instead of Energy Recharge, which is another significant bonus.
He's also been on very popular banners. The Klee banner (which was at the pique of initial popularity), Ganyu initial banner, Hu Tao initial banner, Eula initial banner, Kokomi initial banner and Zhongli/Ganyu rerun

The Utility of Xingqiu is only noticeable if you have no shield on the team.
Having both of them means you can run Hutao-Xingqiu and Raiden-Yelan national at the same time. Fortunately, the national team has Bennett as the healer and Raiden has built-in interruption resistance, so it's good.
Its nice to see that Yelan isn't just a power creep version of Xingqui as they both have separate uses other than their similar method of applying hydro.
It's sad. I feel like all the 5 stars we get from now on will be mediocre versions of these 4 star 5 stars, lol.
XQ is the only double crowned character I have so far (yes I try to max support before giving the second crowns to my DPS). I used him with every DPS I got (Xiao, Keqing, Diluc, Raiden, Ganyu and finally Ayato)
He help everyone even the ones he don’t really synergies with. From the added damage, some nukes, increase survivability or enabling them. My latest abyss team was (Vergil team with C6 XQ, harbinger of dawn Ayato, C4 Yunjin and C6 healer sucrose) finally hydro resonance is needed XD.
I don’t think Yelan will be as broken as he is cause the defensive aspect of his kit is replaced by offensive ones. So yeah if you have a healer in the team Yelan will be your girl if not then back to the hydro archon Xingqui
xingqiu e have 1144.% at 13 and his q have 6900% and with c 2 and 20% hydro he have 8200% dmg and he have 41% dmg red for must player and 53% at max making him best support for shield a and he make shield stronger by 67% i think at 41% dmg red and 100% at 50% dmg red

Now just a clarification: Xinqiu is not the only character that has been nerfed in Genshin. Fischl was also nerfed when they 'fixed' his interaction where Oz was creating extra particles. This change was huge as players were abusing this to create turbo teams.
Both Xinqiu and Fischl fixes were considered bugs, so if one is considered a nerf the other too

Honestly this reminds me of genshin math guy video about the water wielding sword flailing Xinqiu lol, I miss those guys, they are the one who guide me to beat abyss for the first time by investing into national. Anyway, I love Xinqiu but I really need AOE water applicator other than Mona and not Kokomi. I was kinda hyped for Ayato but I didn't get him and even if I do his performance isn't quite what I want, I hope after Yelan we get AOE hydro applicator that spec more into consistent off field hydro that is not static like Kokomi or very low application or take too much field time like Ayato or Childe
Raiden charge damage is great and the AOE is pretty wide, while Xiangling spin around in quite a decent radius but Xinqiu could only target one enemy at a time is the biggest bottleneck, Rational is insane on single target but Xinqiu limit the power of the team against mob or anything that require AOE and no other character fit the bill yet. sadge.

edit: wanted to elaborate more. take 100 genshin players and all of them have kaeya ,but only 5 of them use kaeya in abyss. kaeya abyss usage rate is 5% (5 use him, 100 own him, 5/100). now say 5 of the 100 genshin players have kokomi and also use kokomi in abyss. kokomi abyss usage rate is 100% (5 use her, 5 own her, 5/5).
I got my Xingqiu at C2 and even before he was that, he's just so good. I love pairing him with my Diluc for Vape or Chongyun for Freeze. He's just so versatile. All I truly need in my team is Bennett. He's all I'm missing in order to make my Diluc so much stronger ;-;

Corrections: raiden is not immune to “all” form of cc from the enemies, there’s still freeze (I think). U forgot to mention that his water swords orbiting around passively apply hydro to close enemies like Barbara skill and the u get fucking frozen every single time u use his E, that’s the law :madge:

barely I got frozen by having bennett on my team as well, and the overloading trick doesn't work on shogun eternity state (besides the immunity to electro-charged)
this is why in my humble opinion rational is "stronger" than international childe, the team is so tanky and making pretty short rotations without funneling, the lower raw dmg output is mitigated by the constant dots of dmg of rational (including bunch of reactions)
Xingqiu causing you to get frozen isn't that big of a deal, because it can only happen during your E cast, and not all the time like Barbara
Fun fact: A C6 Xingqiu's burst has over 6000% multiplier on it if all swords land.
That wont happen bcos some procs are lost by casting E and Q of the team
I do agree that Xingqiu is probably the most versatile Hydro character in the game by virtue of being able to be used anywhere through enabling important reactions like freeze, vape, electro-charged, overvaped, and etc. However upon closer examination, I notice that Xingqiu actually becomes more niche now with the release of newer hydro characters:
- Xiangling generally wants Childe because he enables good ST as well as great AOE Vapes.
- Raiden's best team, Raiden Hyper, rarely uses Xingqiu because you want someone to buff Raiden's raw damage rather than enable Raiden hersef. You kind of want to bring Xingqiu with her in cases like this abyss, where you would want to destroy abyss Herald shields fast.
- For freeze, units like Ayaka or Ganyu generally would want Mona or Kokomi for AOE Hydro application from their deployables. Like Raiden, you would want to buff stack as much as possible instead of simply providing damage.
With the release of these types of units, Xingqiu now only has usage on characters who depend on normal attacks like Hu Tao or Sucrose Tazer. He's still broken no doubt but he no longer isn't the BiS on all units and scarily enough can actually get benched.
Hopefully Sumeru will be able to provide units that requires him to be someone's BiS one day for those who do not play Hu Tao, Yoimiya, Diluc, or any normal attacking Pyro carry.
One one hand through it's kind of beneficial that more units are slowly not being tied by Bennett or Xingqiu so that other supports can shine and so that team building isn't a hassle.
Tho he's not really BiS for anyone anymore except like hu tao but what makes him great is that he performs great in any team like
electro-charge, Freeze , Vape
Whereas characters like Childe are better than him in vape he's not really as good in like freeze and electro-charge.
Let me tell you just one reason why Xinque will not be a niche character to majority of players even with newer hydro characters:
He is 4* and free while Kokomi, Childe, Mona, and even upcoming Yelan is 5*. That's all.
Raiden hyper is Raiden herself’s best team (for her damage) but not HER best team in team in terms of actual team damage. Raiden national blows raiden hyper out of the water, at least C0. Also, Xiangling doesn’t want Childe. CHILDE wants Xiangling, big diff

@@ballstomper6756 Actually there's a calcs that state that raiden hyper have higher overall dps overtime compared to raiden national, even with C0 raiden and C6 fischl because raiden hyper have shorter rotation compared to raiden national, but tbh the difference is insignificant so it doesn't matter. Also it's correct that xianling wants childe, because she NEEDS enabler aka hydro applicator for her to constantly vape.

You talked a lot about Sac Sword Xingqiu, but how does it exactly compare and contrast with an equal refined Favonius Sword? Furthermore, for Raiden National where Raiden helps battery XQ, swapping to Lion’s Roar seems to be the better option, but how much ER would you need then to rotate relatively comfy?
Also aside from Vape teams, what other teams would you potentially prefer to use him in over other options? In case, we ever get a 5* XQ and want to use 2 XQ Suske
I think its about having 2 elemental skills which means double damage with on par energy refunding with r5 fav.
Sac sword gives more energy and damage, but fav sword is not a bad alternative for him. For raiden national, i suggest you check his video on raiden national or xingqiu video on zyox channel, but as far as i remember he can run with around 150% ER so lions roar is generally best 4 star option. Other team that prefer to use him over other option aside from vape are taser team, especially taser sucrose xingqiu beidou fischl.
I dont upgrade Fav sword but I have Fav Lance on Yunjin and here is the comparison:
- Xingqiu 80 cost, 180% er, 80% proc Sac passive, get Q back in 1 E with passive proc (means twice E).
- Yunjin 60 cost, 220% er, 100% pro passive, cannot get Q back with 1 E even with passive proc.
Sac sword is amazing on XQ because his E deal tons of dmg especially at C4. Fav sword is your answear if your team need universal battery for whatever reason, as example if you run hu tao vap with thoma or tank fei, it's better to use fav sword on XQ in case your thoma lack on ER, because you will use crit build on XQ anyway, not on sucrose/ kazuha, or thoma
Personal Damage wise Sac XQ trumps fav Xq but total team damage can depends on how much dps does the rest of the team contribute to make up for Xq's shorter field time

One of my favourite teams in theory is Bennett Xingqiu Amber Sucrose because you can run Bennett as a typical vape carry and every rotation set up a Xingqiu quadruple vape E with amber's burst with sac sword since amber's burst has the strongest pyro aura in the game. It only becomes finicky because Xingqiu's collision application.
I always thought that Xingqiu was even more broken than Bennett. My Hu Tao or Ayaka can work perfectly without Bennett, but they can't do anything without Xingqiu.
I used Xingqiu with Beidou in one team and now with Raiden Shougun and Ayaka. He's actually always in my team, because I can't play without him. I don't even want to pull for Yelan anymore, because of him. 😅
And he's only C2 atm.

It was once a upon a time, though if you've followed TenTen recently his current stance is that International is the most broken (the Childe and Kazuha variant) in general, and in some situations Rational has the potential to pull ahead. National is still a strong comp though.

I don't like the work 'broken' in it's game usage. Bennet, XQ and XL set the standard of what a really good 4* is. Strong, flexible, with a lot of options. While recent 4*s do only one thing and are barely better than alternatives in one very small niche, and mediocre/useless otherwise.
They're broken because they are similar in viability with a lot of limited 5-stars
Sayu was the last good released four star. She is the exploration queen with Kazuha.
I think the word broken just lost it's meaning overtime because everybody slaps the label broken on everything. But i still kinda agree that character like bennett, xiangling, and xingqiu are kinda broken because back then they don't know how to balance their game so they accidentally make those 3 so strong.
Actually they are *broken* especially Xq and Bennett who are better than most 5* and being better than most 5*s and being a 4* I would consider broken.

I remember how people compare c0 kazuha to c6 sucrose. And yeah, people skipped Kazuha because he's just an "expensive" sucrose, and now people who skipped him are begging for his rerun. It will also be the same with yelan. And I would dare say, yelan will outperform Xq in the long run tbh.

Less highlight xingqui on burst but I believe u didn't focus on there because its obvious. Instead u highlight the other dmg and utility he provide aside on his burst. Good video 👍.
Its worth noting that sacrifial sword is a lot worse if its not rank 3+ as the cooldown makes it only work every second rotation.
i suddenly remember someone said xingqiu is bad (early genshin impact) bcs he's jack of all trade master of none, doing a lot of stuff but nothing special in particular. good old memories.
the funny thing is jinjinx and tuner made some videos explaining why xingqiu and bennet are better than most 5 stars in that same time period.

Yea, the defensive utility really overlooked a lot by the community. Why people play raiden national instead of childe international? Because on top of raiden being uninterruptible, xingqiu also cut 50% of damage, so no accidental vape/melt from bennet self pyro application can ever kill her. The comfy aspect of putting him in a team is really underestimated. And why i think hu tao will still be paired with xingqiu after yelan release is precisely because so you don't need extra safety net when playing her. 50% damage reduction is massive man
I’m new to the game and Xingqiu is def one of my favs. His ult + ayaka’s ult delete pyro regisvine in a blink. Very beginner friendly.
The only teams where I use XQ over any other chara is with Hu tao and Raiden national. in any other team (that I can think of ofc) is a loss on dps even with my 6/12/12 XQ with good artifects (70/170 EoSF sac sword/lion's roar on raiden national) and actually waiting to the next patch (sadly delayed) for yelan to use her on raiden national. Sadly i probably won't be able to use her with hu tao tho...
Don't take me wrong he is really useful for a lot of things but I don't need someone to do all those things and usually there is already someone else doing 1 of those things better for the team that I need
