Bought 2 weeks ago a Hien mousepad by mistake, trying to buy a Hayate Otsu and wanted to send it back. I was lucky that I saw your review about Hien and their types. So, decided to try it before returning it. After I did, I don't want Otsu anymore 😊. For me Hien with xsoft is the best combination of speed and stopping power. I use it with new superglides from Pulsar.
Please make a video where you talk about mouse skates. Shapes, material, sizes that you think are generally better. I am mainly interested in skates on cloth pads. Hardpads just need dot skates, there is nothing to talk about there.
Another (shocking) awesome video, thank you. What Artisan mouse pad would you recommend for a game like CS2 combined with the Finalmouse Tarik small edition?
I hope that the key-83 will be a little slower than the otsu, the ideal would be a mousepad similar to the lei ling which is my current favorite mousepad
Artisan is really going to force me to buy 4 pads. I need the type 99 in green, but goddamn if this isn't enticing. And I'm not about to lose money on shipping.
I'll probably give it a go🤷♂. I hope it's better than the OTSU for me. I got two of them and they tend to develop a stickiness that can only be cured by a lint roller. I recently got a Saturn Pro and that gave me the same feel as the OTSU without said stickiness. This is now my main pad. I'll see if the Key 83 can change that.
None of my units have had any breakin/slowspots/slowdown so far. Btw the otsu I showed in this vid is the "v2" with conductive threads so that issue may be addressed for future batches e
Ive been debating what artisan pad to get I feel like I want a hybrid pad and I liked using the SOKU Shiro and their Kaizen pro, but after using the purple empress i know I cant do glass atm
What woyld you reccomend for fast-placed aim games like quake and apex? Also I playing singelplayer games sometime, and speed isn't that imoptant here.
Does the Otsu also have the textured grazing feeling as the key 83? Does the Otsu have a bigger X-Y difference than the key 83? Is the Key83 rougher than the Otsu?
Otsu does have the texture grazing but its much less intense, definitely has more x/y difference, I guess the key83 is rougher but neither are abrasive feeling
@@boardzy Thanks for the explanation, it is very useful. Just 1 more question, is the roughness of the key 83 closer to that of the hien or hayate otsu?
Mostly the texture feeling and just a "lighter" glide feeling on the otsu. Like a bit less initial friction than the key83, not as quick stops, more premium feeling on the arm
Type-99 and Key-83 are the official names. They follow the naming convention of ARTISAN which uses the names of Japanese WWII Fighter Planes. The Type-99 was a carrier bomber and Ki-83 (renamed to Key-83 for English ppl since it reads more nicely) was an experimental long range heavy fighter plane.
How is it with a nerd sleeve on, esp. when compared to sleeve on Hien/Raiden? Judging by the comments on more prominent texture than Hien, I assume it's even worse for sleeves than Hien?
should i get a artisan zero fx soft or do you recommend something else when i always had a steelseries qck? my mouse is the viper v3 pro and like games like cs2/valorant.
I have xsoft otsu and the softness made me swap to Saturn. On tense situations I tend to press down my mouse and it completely freezes then and makes me whiff. I would get the mid or soft.
@@ronald0122 get the type99 then bro, type99 is gonna be artisans slowest pad and "true control" pad - its gonna be the closest you're going to get to the qck.
Just wanted to point out an observation... rokkaku sounds like bukkakke. Ok, that's all! Looks like a good pad fr tho, gonna have to fork out for this one. Agreed, Soft is the move... I use a Raiden and I recently got a Mid thinking I'd like it better than Soft... It's insane how much faster it is though... too fast. Soft is really the perfect thickness.

Why? It takes no effort, and it costs similar to US pads. You just order it from the website like any other mousepads, and the only negative is waiting 2 weeks for shipping.
my biggest problem with artisan is cleaning it, i swear to god its so annoying and it was the solo reason i sold my hayate otsu. But ill try key83 once it comes out, looks promising and shocking

Only with Artisan mice (so no)
Shroud uses artisan off stream so Logitech doesn’t slap his hand
if he was reviewing a keyboard it would've been a keyboard review 🤣

This is an intriguing hypothesis, I shall ponder upon it.

Probably the zero or type99
LGG Saturn Pro Soft better 💯 there's a reason why tons of Pros are switching from Artisan Zero to the Saturn Pro
Im looking for something slightly more controlled than the hayate otsu. is this it?

does the key83 “break in” and slow down alot like the hayate otsu? or does it stay close to the og speed

Hi Boardzy another great video. Was wondering who makes the mouse dongle holder you have on your desk?
I dont have a holder, I use a penny sleeve for trading cards for some of them,
