- I've always made the assumption that aero or body kits would slow a car down in the 1/4 mile. I assumed that there would be additional weight and additional drag caused by the additional aero. In this video we put that theory to the test by seeing if our 100 - 200kmh and 60/130mph got any quicker, once we removed the Flow Designs aero kit off of an APR Stage 2 E85 - 2018 Audi RS3!

LOL, I love the way you put it vs the way I said it in the video.
This really needed a comparison around a track to give the aero kit a fair chance. Of course the car is going to be faster in a straight line without extra drag! The downforce benefit comes from cornering at speed, not at the drag strip.
I wasn't referring to slowing down a car on a circuit or track. I was only testing for straight line performance for 1/4 mile drag racing, seeing as that is what 70% of the owners do with their RS3's. Not around a track.

Thanks for another informative video ! wondering how your b9 is doing and what stage of repair is the rs3 at. Not being at the track this summer must be difficult.
Regardless of not having a car to race, I've been at the track every single event they've had to support all the customer cars we build at Reiter Performance. The B9 S4 hasn't been touched. I've been daily driving that ever since the spark plug failure. Once the tools come in, we'll be taking that a part and seeing if it can be repaired.
As for the RS3, we just received the repaired block back from Iroz. It's being machined locally, and then the rebuild begins.
Just think about how all of those massive wings out there are holding that particular community back.
I can only imagine.
Hi Adam. Does the Zero resistance cone цшер custom intakes filter better then Zero resistance air filter in stock factory box?
I mean do you really need replace factory air filter frame at something else?
If other intake / out takes and inlet is 4 inch for example

Thanks for the suggestion. When I upgrade my intakes, I always go with proper intake setups from manufacturers, and I don't just replace the filter.

New subscriber, here! I'm terrified of bricking my ECU. I have a 2018 SQ5 and want to flash it, Stage 1 93 Oct from IE; please, tell me what battery maintainer you use!! How do you use it? Maybe, a video? Any answer will suffice! Thanks!!
It's not rocket science, haha. Plug in the battery maintainer. Attached the red to the positive connection under the hood and the black to the negative connection under the hood. Makes sure you have a strong wifi signal. Connect your Powerlink cable to your OBD2 port and your laptop. Provide power to the car without turning on the engine. Go through the steps it tells you to to flash your ECU. BOOM! Faster SQ5

@darqaegis9045 I've used from the cheapest style of battery chargers/maintainers to the expensive ones. I've never had one die on me. Battery Tender brand I use as well as Optimate.

Much better! Thank you for asking! I had an operation on my heart 2 months ago and I just stopped taking my heart meds last week. I'm back at the gym and am feeling better every day. I still have to deal with other undiagnosed health issues that came up around the same time my heart went out of whack, but I'm headed in the right direction.
The tires are Bridgestone RE-71R's

Awesome, I like the look of the aero kit but the numbers don't lie. For a daily the aero kit doesn't really matter I guess
It just made it incredibly hard to drive over bumps or steep curbs and streets/roads.
Unpopular opinion- looks way better without the extra aero.
