My wood stove is very similar to your set up. The wall gets warm,but has never caught on fire. I would recommend a heat fan or two made for wood stove to disperse heat away from the wall and stove pipe though. The firewood is messy and the dust level,but for the $$ saved it's been worth that small hassle!

Your new home is huge. I am so excited for your family to move in. The flooring is so pretty. I absolutely love the color. So many wonderful conveniences to make your life easier while raising your family. Two dishwashers, two refrigerators, two sets of washers and dryers. A dream come true for a large family. I can't think of a family more deserving. I think we are all anxiously awaiting for the big move in. Thank you for the updated tour.

We have a soaker tub very similar and the faucet is on the other side...I now know why😂.

Yes put fixtures on wall side before builders get too much further. Put them on wall side.a slip and fall in or out of tub could cause damage to your body and the fixture with where it's placed

We use a wood stove to heat our home during the winter!
Propane is just too expensive and the duct work is under our house and we’ve had little critters get into them!(don’t want to breathe that in)
I have noticed the two places in the master bedroom where I’ve had my air purifier that I’ve gotten the black soot on the walls.
So glad I wasn’t breathing that in!
I’m just so thrilled for you all!

Oh gosh your poor grandma 😢I pray for a full recovery. I know about the delirium that occurs at hospitals for the elderly because my father is 93 years old and has advanced dementia. He’s in a memory home now but he’s had many falls and had to be hospitalised in the past. The delirium was very bad. I’m glad you all e enjoyed your meals and cheesecakes ☺️

You were doing the house tour in the back of the house i saw a couple of areas that had lone pine trees and I thought oh some solar powered Christmas lights would be so pretty and festive to look at. The fire place you could get sheet metal hung behind it! Just up about 5 feet.
Your new home is looking amazing. Just a wee tip, use a water softener in your machines, otherwise the hard water causes lime scale to build up on your machines

Beautiful house. Love the soaker tub. We have one also. We found that having the faucet on the entry side makes it extremely difficult to enter tub. Wish we had installed faucets on the wall side.
Stone looks good around a wood burner , flagstone
