My favorite pop/rock group,i love Pete's voice with some "WICKED" vocals, they caught my attention when i heard "King Of Wishful Thinking" and decided to go back and listen to more of their past, what a great singer and band,Emmett***
Personally I love both! But looking back, WHAM (From an image perspective) were the original Go West (Strictly image). Although Go West were popular, they never did receive the recognition they rightfully deserve. I Love these Guys!

@@suecarrigan4765 I didn't mean he hasn't aged well, I think he looks good, I was just expressing surprise about the story of the date in '84....tell us more, Solid Cat Ink! 😄
@@charlotteforbes4614 I was working for the record label... there's not much more to it. He asked me out and I already had a date for that night. So I turned him down, which offended him lol
They could be good actors in my opinion, Peter has charisma and Richard has humour. Crossfire is a beautiful song, featuring the late Alan Murphy on guitar in 1987. My fave line up would be Peter, Richard, Mark and Mike from Level 42 and John Keeble from Spandau on drums.
Terina: snap! That is what I often find myself thinking too! Maybe he didn't want any, we don't know....but it is surprising in a way. He can't have been short of offers, but something tells me it might not have been easy for him to have settled down. He was based in California for years before returning to the U.K. so maybe not an easy man to tie down....
My take from this interview is that Peter the lead singer is a shy person with little confidence and Richard is the key speaker of the two. Now comparing this 2 man band to wham!.... Peter , just like George has great singing ability but he never had the drive or confidence to go about it alone which is sad and a lost opportunity through time. Sorry Peter ...
Go West were very underrated, and professional!!! 🤩😎😍🎶 many awesome bands in the 80s, but they were up there with the best!!😎🤩👏👌👍
Peter Cox..such a dish!
Totally :)
Corrrrr Peter Cox is still a devilishly handsome man 😍😍😍
Pete has such a great voice

Had me spinning and dancing all over my Chelsea apt in nyc. Great memories. Much love and thanks
Peter Cox is silverfox ;) Him, Paul Carrack and Michael Bolton are my fave vintage whiteboys :D
These guys are wonderful. Peter Cox can sing his ass off!
I couldn't have put it better myself!
i think it's interesting that Peter Cox had a very underrated voice for the 1980's and i personally liked Go West more cause they were the Anti-WHAM!
I am so totally with you!

Ah, Richard has aged well... I should have gone on that date with him back in '84 ;)
You're joking!
Love a man with a sence of humour, looks count for nothing,

Bang and Crashes was one of the best albums of the 80`s. They are a fantastic band

Let Love Come is a great song!

GO WEST SO COOL !!!!!!
+Andrew Flood Totally! :)

Great band ❤
Peter's voice wasn't underrated, that's why they made it bigtime
These two remind me of Rossi and Parfitt from Status Quo.
Cool interview.
Come to Austin TX for SXSW ;-)
It's such a shame that Pete never had children. I bet they'd have his dark eyes and amazing smile and have amazing voices to be singers too🙁

They are just Cool period.
Pete is a very cockney, Sean Connery.... Make a great Bond! Forget that girl track, was very under-rated!! Means a lot to me! 🤔
Sending fullsupport sir new friend here
Richard sounds exactly like Johnny Lydon, but more adjusted.
I hadn't thought of him from that perspective before but I see what you mean! :)
looks quite a bit like him too.
Peter cox is the 80s
How the heck do you guys sing with no accent in your voice!!! How??? In the 80's we thought you guys were from California!!! LOL

can't play crossfire without alan..... :(
Google: Murphys Breeze WMV for beautiful brisk guitar from this courageous virtuoso.
Come back to California.
For many years I thought Go West was an American band.
Richard Drummie is so handsome❤
Call mee!!
Этот чел смахивает на Игоря Крутого)
No i honestly dont agree that peter is the best, for me he is not a patch on Richard, and has a lot of growing up to do,
I always thought these guys were American.
+DJ Newt Nope, British born and bred :)
So did I until I saw them live haha
Google: Go West Live On The Tube 1985 for an amazing gig.
The guitarist is no slouch.
Peter Cox looks like Joe Rogan
Aging is such a terrible thing.
are they gay? ive wondered since the 90s
doubtful... they're just british.
