thats the 1st time i see ppl using bowsquare to determine the angle for installing the bomar stops, a very good lesson for me!
So does the sponginess in the back wall come from the rubberized factory installed stop as compared to the solid stops that are being installed? The reason I ask is by watching the video they are both actually going to contact the cables and not the limbs at all as mentioned in another comment or maybe I am misunderstanding. I have 2 Hoyts that I may have to consider these on if I have an issue and understand them more clearly.
Why not just install the optional limb stop for a more solid back wall?
Maybe someone buys the bow used and the limb stops don't come with it....or maybe you buy the bow new and at first you don't like the limb stops, so you end up losing them. This is an option for people who don't have the limb stops for one reason or another.
Bruce Seid I have the HyperEdge (which has the DFX cams) with the Bomar stops. I didn't like how spongy the stock cable stops were, but I don't like the rock-hard back wall of a limb stop, either. These remove all sponginess while still allowing you to dig into the back wall (you're just deflecting the buss and control cable instead of squishing the draw stop peg). I find this preferable with a tension activated release.
Steven Rosburg thank you for your detailed answer and insight on from your experience. I just started shooting a back tension for this up coming season and will think of giving these a try now to feel the difference.
